I've been bringing up examples of movies that might warrant the addition of an epilepsy warning to their publication text for a while now, but I wanted somewhere more formal to post about it.
Thank you for doing this! Also, if you want the Editor role so you can add these warnings yourself, let me know and it's yours.

Do not discourage submitters like this. Pointing out improvements is fine, directly insulting them in this way is absolutely not.

We're definitely aware (I believe I was the one who suggested OceanBagel post here), the problem is just that the judging team doesn't have much time to dedicate to rejudging runs right now. The workbench has been packed the past couple years and isn't showing signs of slowing down going forward. Thinking about it, there should be room on the site for other alternate forms of judging. Reviewers didn't quite work out how I wanted them to, but I think the idea's still solid enough to rework into a different form of community-based judging. I'll workshop it. Might take a bit of time, but it's definitely a priority for me.

On the other side of legality, I've removed the project page links from the OP since it offers downloads of several unofficial conversions of commercial ZXS releases. I'll admit this is a strange edge case, and my research didn't turn up a whole lot of relevant information, but I'd much rather err on the side of caution here. As for the actual usage of it for TASing, my immediate reaction is to classify it under the same rules we use for language choice and emulation improvements: Using it is fine to decrease loading times, but deceased loading times won't count as improvements by themselves. Note that this is personal opinion only and not an official statement or ruling from the site as of yet.

Nominating: Darkman425 - My primary criteria for TASer of the Year is variety in game choice, and Darkman has absolutely exemplified that this year. nymx, LogansGamingRoom - Of course, sheer output can also be a defining factor. It's not easy to average a quality TAS every 5 days, after all, and two people accomplishing that in a single year is insane. Cephla - Cephla's a solid middle ground between Darkman's sheer variety and nymx/LGR's sheer output. I've always loved the homebrew representation and I'm hoping it continues into the new year.

The group effort to make a new TAS of this game has been on a halt for at least a year.
TASVideos is going to turn 40 before I stop apologizing for underestimating this game's complexity when I chose it.

I'm going to go ahead and say that everything we would need to do to account for HK TASing in its current state is far beyond what we should be accounting for. Just reading through the list of things we need to change or keep in mind makes me think that the process is likely to fail at any given point, and strictly speaking as an Admin and the head of judging, I can't imagine putting staff through this with every new submission. It may have to wait until libTAS is better able to support Unity games or HK itself so we don't have to worry about the nondeterminism. As for the philosophical side of the arguments, I totally understand the concerns there. The movie rules and submission instructions were atrociously elitist for a very long time, and even after the massive amounts of overhauling I and others have done over the past few years to fix all of that, there's still a lot more work that needs to be done for everything on the site to accurately reflect our current policies. My ideal for TASVideos is for it to be an expansive archive and repository for TAS information, with the community focusing more on collaboration and support rather than trying to be the absolute best at everything. This thread in particular isn't meant to be us trying to force other communities to adhere to our standards, it's meant to be us trying to support everything we possibly can within reason in order for us to be a more complete source of information, but given our past I don't blame anyone for thinking otherwise and still getting bad vibes from us. If there's anything I can do to correct that, I'm absolutely willing to do it. I'll put it this way: Even if it's too much for us to support HK TASes on a technical level right now, I still want to and would love to put in the effort to supporting the community in any other possible way we can.
