Tonedeaf: 83.3% Rythm: 88% Adaptive Pitch: 1.8 Hz Agreeing with above posters, it was hard to remember the tones. Limited replays put me in a bad position towards the end at the rythm test. :/ Overall a good result I guess though.

Shit man, now we're talking. If you'd optimize all levels like that it'd be so kickass.

Hey there. I started improving spezzafer's Kirby's Dream Land run today. His run was recorded on VBA v9, mine on v19.2. What's strange is that his title screen appears around frame 20, where it comes up around frame 40 for me. At first I thought this was a version difference in terms of less accurate emulation on the older version. But the strange thing is, his movie plays back fine on v19.2, so it cannot be bad emlation ... or can it? It should be noted that he makes no input at all before the title screen appears. We use the same ROMs, same Gameboy mode, No BIOS and start from power-on. Nothing on that part is different. This all seems very strange to me. All help is appreciated. EDIT: Solved by no appearant reason. Just started working, weird.

hmm... I vote Meh... Cause I myself has improved this game better so far at almost all the levels I think, need to double check later. But it hurts me to see some misses I've done better. Well good movie I think and for now it's improved so! Nice job! =D Great to see more people TASing this game.
Mind explaining where and how you improved? Unless you state these things I think it's kind of rude to vote Meh.

Your movement stops at several parts for no reason (first pipe comes to mind, why not just make a smaller jump before you land in front of it?). Just wasn't efficient enough. I'm gonna have to vote no on this.

It is your opinion that matters here. If YOU enjoyed watching the movie. He says it's sloppy, when it in fact maybe isn't? Don't trust text, trust your eyes.

Ironically, the poll asks "did you enjoy watching this movie", not "did you enjoy watching the whole thing".
The point of my post was that he had voted no on half a run (I don't know where the desync occours, so I'm just using this), as he could by no means watch the other half. What if the second half would had made him change his mind? I don't think a no vote is justified here.

Impressive. Awesome. Yes vote. I'm the only one lame enough to notice the somewhat funny scene at the end of stage 15?

Any chance record reset could be implemented?
Explain?
To be able to reset the game while recording a movie. It isn't possible at the moment. And by reset I mean bringing up the mupen menu and clicking reset, and still catching it on the movie.

There must be some way to determine it. How else would torrent sites figure out your dl/ul ratio?

Well I guess if it does desync the only thing you can do is redo it. Fixing desyncs with hex-edit is very tedious and I'm sure you'd be able to redo that part in less time. On the bright side, you'll surely improve a few frames by redoing.

Did you ever look through the movie when recording it? Sometimes it's actually possible even for VBA to have desyncs from simple re-recording, I've stumbled across it a few times. It's really too bad you got one either way. :/

Don't play it. It doesn't subtract from entertainment value as the movie would've ended by then anyway.

Looks good to me, very optimized playing. Though I wonder when you hit on of them switches to change the rails in the second dungeon, was it really faster to jump with the feather into the hole to warp to the beginning of the room, than simply walking into the hole? Good luck as you press on.

I'm guessing if this run is made all courses shall be done? 18*6 = 108 courses. Hmm, that's quite a bit. EDIT: Speed golf, eh? I guess playing the first course would be the fastest, right? Also I don't really understand how keeping the ball in the rough at most times would increase playing speed.

Because I cannot think of any place in SMB3 where you have to be big (any powerup) to overcome the obstacles without super-human input.
