I do, just by reading the rules, posts, and general attitudes by the admin and mods. If the admin and mods here started acting like the admin and mods there, I'd probably leave this site.
Oh no, that would JXQ us all :(

I dislike Mister Boats attitude. Its people like you that have caused me to not use linux. Anyway, back to the point of using MP4, for me it makes no difference as I use a player that takes 'everything'. But anything that people has to recommend using QuickTime to play is by default bad. Just like "Works best with Internet Explorer" Its a sign of lack of quality. AVI may be a hack, and b-frames may not work with it, but b-frames has never been used, so that isn't really an issue. And seek times? Thats kinda neglictable. I think the site should continue focusing on helping people do speedruns and such instead of having a debate over if a newer format is better than an old one. And just to nail in the final nail, this site plays retro games, and whats more retro than the outdated outhacked AVI format.

Hahaha, this is the awesomestest. I hope you will attempt further movies using similar methods in the future.

Looks very good for a first try, you obviously have understood the concept of playing frame by frame and getting it done fast, however I think you need to study the game more and figure out what weapons actually do the most damage. I would also like an answer as to why the 2 player run is slower than the 1 player run?

I'm voting yes on this one. It is not the best TAS on the site for entertainment value, but it follows all the criterias needed to be a TAS. Unfortunately a lot of people will watch this once, and then never watch it again (I know I will), but atleast I did watch it once (although with a good deal of fast forward in between). its a good TAS, but entertainment value doesn't score too high.

Again, same as other submission, it played back perfectly for me without any texture corruption, and the Sorcery area looked rather nice. Not entirely sure if you could have skipped a 10pack of red rubies before the first time you turn into werewolf, as you stay werewolf for a lot longer than needed, but I dont think you picked up any rubies any time you didnt have to wait anyway, so I dont think that is an issue. Looked solid that run, but unfortunately this was teh first time I ever saw the game.

It played back perfectly for me, without a single texture corruption. Unfortunately I do not know this game, so its hard for me to tell if its really good or not, but I did see some luck manipulation and 'seeing into the future' things there, so I'll vote yes.

In addition to all of the above, this site encodes with h264 which has frame drop support. Basically what that means, is that if 2 or more similar frames come in succession, it only stores 1 of them, and tells the decoder to show the same image x amount of times.

heh... that is a personal opinion, but if you want the easiest to use I'd go with BitComet or Azureus, which are both for windows.

The game was made by Cryo actually. The publisher was Virgin. http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=345 Check out the url for download and a short summary.

Dune, the original, is a pretty impressive game for when it was made. The music is really nice (I have the mp3s from the cd they based it off) and the graphics are really impressive (its westwood after all). The game itself had some huge bugs that a new player would usually end up trapped in, and you actually had to learn how to avoid these traps to finally complete the game. Still, its a most impressive and rather fun game. (And its one of the earliest realtime-rpg-exploration-adventure games) ;)

Neato! Run is looking fast (duh) and good so far. I'm still impressed by the graphics on this game. Even today very few games surpass it on graphics and even fewer surpass it on gameplay.

I don't know how far ahead you've thought about this TAS, but do you know who you'd pick for a fifth character at endgame?
Is there any alternative to Raja? The Holy Cross is just too powerful towards end to pass up on isn't it? Anyway, still looking great!

I think the best solution is for the console runners to start labelling their runs as 'Classic Speed Runs' or 'Old School Speed Runs'. Then we can keep the 'Tool-Assisted Speed Runs' designation we like.

Lol, that was teh awesome. Massive Crash abuse and people seemed to die very conveniently to get max out of the experience.. rofl. So funny to watch :D Its not half as clutzy as I thought it might end up, you are constantly going in straight lines and still getting perfect encounters, looks really good.
