I started TASing this game pretty recently, but I didn't see that this had been posted. Now, i have even more revision to do. So far my strategies are very similar to this video. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish this TAS though. At the start of level 3 I'm about 13 seconds faster due to a new glitch that I found, but I still have about 2 seconds of mistakes from what tafatt posted here. So there is still much improvement that can be made.
Nice to see some interest for this game. I hope you will finish it.

It looks so awesome! I will probably waste hundreds of hours on this game when it comes.

Has anyone else tried the extra challenge? It seems ridiculously hard. It makes Alexander look like a pushover. I would love to see a video of someone beating it.

One question, though.

What did you do to replenish mana when your characters were running out of it? I guess using sacred orbs, but unfortunately I only have one on my main save (wasn't expecting a fight this tough in the end).
Using enlight was enough I think. I don't think I used any sacred orbs. I maybe used some serpent eyes but enlight gave me almost infinite mana. Zawu wore the item that halves manacost too.

When I fought alexander my whole party was faster than him. I used Hilbert, Zawu, Ethan and Matilda. Each member had a special role. Hilbert was the tank. His spellcards all gave him +Vit and used the King's Armor and Party Hat. All he did was defending/stancing and casted Invincibility occasionally blocking lionheart completely. If lionheart was not blocked he still survived the first attack but not the second so I only had to revive one character. Zawu was the fastest member. She was the reviver and healer. She had the spellcards: Revive, Full heal, Enlight and chi. She placed Enlight on the party and just healed / revived when it was useful. Ethan used Defensive buffs and placed regen on the party. Matilda was the damage dealer. Just buffed her str and used normal attacks. It took a while to beat him but this strategy was safe. I was not in trouble once while fighting him. My party was around lvl 90 when I did it.

Thanks DarkKobold for letting me know about this game. I really loved playing through this game. The game was much better than I expected it to be. I must say this is one of the best rpg games I've played. The story was good. The battle system was good. The bosses were challenging. The mini-game was fun. I have now collected all the hex-tiles but not yet tried the final challenge. Will do it now. Ok just tried it and wow, I stood no chance against it. I rate this game 5/5.

Great movie but it doesn't belong on a site like this.
Why not? This site is for entertainment. This movie is entertaining. I think it is at least worthy of the other section on the main page.

It was I who voted No. Although I meant to vote yes (oops). I thought it was quite good. I have never played the game but it seems easy enough to understand and looks like a fun game too. The music was nice too but the slotmachine parts I fastforwarded through. They were no fun.

Anyone else found that you can cheat by moving around a piece while firing a bullet. By holding the mousebutton over a piece after you have placed it once on the field and then press space you still can control the piece you selected.

I reached wave72 on lvl6. Those airships was way too strong for my maze! Here is a screenshot of my maze before I lost: http://img164.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lvl72ry2.jpg I built it like a spiral. It was good against the ground units but I was helpless when fighting air!

This is the old thread. I was not able to kill a resistant enemy with the bane sword when I tested it. It is faster to backtrack in the watercave after getting the slab. If E.Exit is used the long cutscence will be played again when you dive down the water which takes alot of time.

It takes 1-3 frames to avoid a fight so always avoid them. About the blue fangs I tested it too but found it not good to use on the piscodemons, but it was along time ago and I might be wrong.

Don't buy fire instead of thunder! The piscodemons take half damage from fire.

I would like to see this run made. I tried this a year ago but I gave up. Hope you will make it through. My party was 1 monk and 3 black mages. The good thing about this game is that all random battles can be avoided. This is what I had before giving up. ( I gave up because I couldn't manipulate the right prizes from the ship-minigame) Good luck!

Would it be faster if the ladderglitch is used on the first ladder? Did this in real time so it looks bad but it's the concept thats important. FCM File. The idea is to reduce the climbtime.

It would be interesting if it could be one of those play all games with one input thing.
