This is technically the wrong thread for this, since I know the name of the game, but does anyone remember S.P.A.M.? This was a text adventure engine that came out for the Mac in the '90s. I remember downloading games for it from AOL. S.P.A.M. stood for Single Player Adventure game for Macintosh. It was pretty lame but I was into it a lot, and I'm curious if it was just a figment of my imagination or if other people remember it. Google does not in fact remember it, at least with the search terms I've used.

This is kind of a lame question, but any suggestions on getting a sample to reproduce blowing into the microphone? I thought the staircase section was the best part actually, but probably only because I know how hard it can be and it was awesome just seeing them zip (well, mosey) up them.

Flip 3 coins of different types and assign each type as a digit of a three digit binary number. Treat heads as one and tails as zero. Re-flip if you get all zeroes :P

I will usually tell people about it if I know they are interested in old video games, and have shown some TASs to people if they sound interested... no one I know is even slightly as obsessed about them as I am though :) I think the most awkward description I ever made was to my father, where I had to start as basic as possible ("You know Nintendo? You can actually create computer programs that will read the data from a game and let you play it! And then slow it down! and speed it back up!")

I tried doing something similar with Sonic for GG and it worked great -- except that it caused objects to load differently so the resulting movie desynced massively.

From this full playthrough video it looks like damage/death abuse could be quite possible and abundant... Even if the trackball is well emulated, I assume it would be like the analog stick on the n64 which would make 3 players simultaneously a major undertaking. I would like to see a run of this game though :D

You can definitely have a script running and have the player control the emulator at the same time. You can't run two scripts at the same time though, as far as I know.
