The Motorcycle Diaries: Based on a motorcycle trip through South America that Ernesto "Che" Guevara took with his friend when he was 23. A bit of humor, action, tears. Touches on how his experiences with the poor and downtrodden on the trip helped inspire his future political career. Le Tigre et la Neige (The Tiger and the Snow): Roberto Benigni (Life is Beautiful) stars as a bumbling poet who chases a woman he is in love with to Iraq during the start of the war in 2003. Magical realism and Tom Waits make guest appearances. It is very funny, and I want to watch it again... Man v. Food: A tv series about a guy who goes around and tries to beat those eating challenges like "eat a 7 lb burrito in 1 hour" or "eat these really spicy things". He also visits restaurants in the same city, and usually picks ones with really tasty looking fatty foods. It's cheesy as hell but it's fun to watch when you're hungry, and it's always interesting to see if he'll make the challenge or not (he's supposedly not a professional eater so a lot of the time he fails, but when he succeeds it's amazing).

Thanks Derakon! Yeah, wikiupload seems to be deleting my files or something. I will try to find somewhere better...

Yeah, wikiupload hates me or something. I'll try to reupload it tomorrow to somewhere more stable.

Cool, thanks Mitjitsu! Also to whoever fixed the rogue movies. I still haven't added any new pages, though editors feel free. See the source of the others to witness the magic of inserting movies into pages :)

If it helps any (though I doubt it will), when I close degavi after getting the file error it gives this error: "The instruction at "0x032c18c5" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program" Good to see you around pcc :)

Well, if you're up for watching only one track, you could as well download a complete movie and watch any one track you want.
Where are the complete movies for these games? Yes, in the future, we'll only have full completion, but until then why does it make sense to remove potentially entertaining content from the site?

Well, everyone seems to be all for throwing out the one-track runs. (I suppose it is a coincidence that both are made by players that tend to generate controversy.) They're racing games. People hate racing games -- they're too long and repetitive. I seem to recall quite a bit of resistance to Diddy Kong Racing since it was so absurdly long. Even the awesome Mario Kart movie had some comments about it's boring-ness. Single track movies can be seen as a reaction to this. Show off the game, but don't bore the audience to tears. (To be fair, I think a lot of people would like to see a full F-Zero run, myself included.) I say let them stick around in the back corner of TASVideos (concept demos) -- at least until we have something to obsolete them with. Please, no witch hunts, single track racing game movies or otherwise.

Well, I was able to compile this (required a bunch of fancy programs that made me feel like a hax0r :P ) but alas, when I run it it give a mysterious error. Thanks ShinyDoofy for trying to help me on irc! Maybe I'll try again sometime, apparently this version also supports good Game Gear emulation/recording. Sorry, that was a little off topic...

Well, I thought it was cool... sounds like another playthrough/optimization might be in order though :) I'd encode but I don't think windows dega makes avi's.

Fortunately, there's already a list of such movies.
Exactly, but I think it could be expanded, probably significantly.

I would suggest that instead of unpublishing movies, we should have a section of very entertaining movies, and a section of somewhat entertaining movies. There's several movies on the <4.5 list that I enjoyed watching, which indicates that there's probably others that enjoyed them or would enjoy them as well. However, I will admit that they should not be representative of TASVideos in general. They wouldn't be my first choice as a representative movie to show people new to the site. I'm all for the benefits of increasing "entertainment" density that unpublishing would bring (are there other benefits?) but think that the same benefits could be brought by reorganizing, which would have the added benefit of keeping some potentially entertaining runs for those who seek them out. Also by splitting I think we could be less timid about "getting rid" of movies, since we wouldn't really be completely getting rid of them, which would result in an even more entertaining set of movies :)

A nice improvement to a quick movie. This game is really bad :) Here's an encode.

Thanks, will keep that in mind :) But that brings up a question: which would be more fun, a Game TASER or a TASER Game?

Listing all the submissions broke http://tasvideos.org/SM64TASHistory.html (Hit refresh a couple of times until it looks normal, then scroll down to see awesome breakage) It looks like http://tasvideos.org/748M.html and http://tasvideos.org/794M.html are the culprits...

Well, I might list them all and hope someone adds commentary in between. The number of SM64 any% movies alone is quite daunting and I don't know if I'd be up to doing the research to compare between each revision. (The SMB3 article includes all the any% revisions I believe.) Same goes for SM which I'm not terribly familiar with, but agree would make for a good page. But thanks for the suggestions, I will try to at least get skeleton articles up for these games.

Why does the history page only have the low/any% run?
Because I'm lazy... and the any% runs for both of those games are the "notorious" versions.

This is definitely one of the better games to TAS -- it almost seems like it was made to be. Great run. I too hope you tackle the any%/whatever. Here's an encode for those impatient for the inevitable official one.

An excellent run of a strange and beautiful GB game. Seems like Kirby ate Pikachu and played Mega Man. (or the games you reference in the submission text) Here's an encode.
