Dear Bisqwit, Where does Bisqwit come from? Is it related to Bisquick? Do you know what Bisquick is? Also, how come your avatar was so tiny on the first post? Yours inquisitively, Alden

Dear Fabian, My girlfriend just got back from Seattle and commented on how much people say douchebag there. We almost never hear it here in Santa Barbara. Is that a common Swedish thing too, or is it Internet? Or maybe you never use it at all normally... -Bored in Santa Barbara

Dear Fabian, What kind of food do you like to eat? What kind of food do you actually eat? Also, do you enjoy caffeine as much as I do (that's a lot)? -Bummed I Can't Call You Fabby in America

Dear Chamale, I hope it rhymes with Tamale, that delicious steam-cooked corn meal dough treat. And Chamale would be a portmonteau for Chicken tamale. Though I know it's probably not, but a man can dream right? -Hungry for Mexican in Aztlan

Dear Fabby, Can we call you Fabby? At least here? Do you think you will ever be overwhelmed by the popularity of this thread? Is it easy to move to Sweden? Would that make me cooler? Yours Sincerely, TAS Noob from California

"Dear Fabian," First, is your name pronounced Fay-bee-en, or is it Fab-yahn? Second, why does this forum suck more now? Third, do you expect to answer a lot of stupid questions? Yours Sincerely, Alden

First: I was disappointed by a total lack of Danny Glover. But, Notwithstanding that, this game is Silly, Wacky and Crazy; and with your run of it I was thoroughly Entertained. You clearly ate this game, and as comicalgenius mentioned before I could, the use of memory watch was Outstanding; like Famtasia::FCEU 16 :) Even though you warned me, I laughed out loud when you skipped those monkeys... Uh Oh, here come the evil Monkeys, OH WAIT, no! forget it. hahahahahaha but seriously, don't you think the last boss was a total ripoff of starwars??? Good job! Oh yeah i voted, um, yes.

Fan-bloody-TAStic my friend. This is one of the better runs I've seen recently -- and from the submission text you very thoroughly analyzed the game and not just abused but murdered it... :P Good show chap!

Pros: Unicorn dieing. "The Dark Side Wins". Abusing the crap out of a game. Con: I had no idea what was going on until I read the submission text. At first I thought the computer was pounding the tar out of you since you "must" be white. Good thing it was so short that I could watch it a couple of times :)

Sorry, I should have been a bit more verbose, I was a little out of it :) I love the weird game in general, and the boss fights were sweet. I didn't think she ran too slow either personally. But I guess I'm kind of a patient guy...

OK, I agree that this movie and the last one were unoptimized. And I guess this one is "lazy". But, outside the context of the hardcore TASers (that's you reading this forum for the most part) this and the last movie are absurdly fast and, in my opinion, awesome. When a better movie comes along, great, but in the mean time I think this should obsolete the current run (unless a new movie is going to be available in the near future... last time I checked the latest WIP was still just going to gerudo land for the first time? I think it'll be a while)

The only part that stood out to me was the weird/random bombings, and those didn't really detract from the run overall for me. Obviously, to the trained eye there is more but for most people visiting this site this is a great run. In any event, I am really looking forward to a "perfect" version of this :) Of course, "perfect" movies here are improved all the time...

Disagree... The current run was highly entertaining to me, as was this one. This one would have been even more entertaining to me if I hadn't seen the published one first. Come on, both of them are LUDICROUSLY fast and awsome, depite being "unoptimal", which only people who are fairly familiar with TASing the game will notice. I totally vote yes on this being entertaining; on an unrelated note, I think it should certainly obsolete the current run. That said, now I'm anticipating a new version even more than before. But, I would have liked more submisson text. Maybe I'm a total dork but I wrote 20x more than that for my pathetic-in-comparison 8 minute run of an obscure NES game ;) Raiscan wrote a longer complaint than the submisson! But seriously, whatever your name is, great run, I liked it a lot.

To go completely off topic, I believe it should be Tetres, like crisis to crises :P

Oops, guess I should have said "any *more* bonus points would be overflow" :P The movie wouldn't be any faster if you still got bonus points when doing LDR, right? So are you going to take on the A game next Baxter?

I thought someone said that using the "LUR" glitch takes away the holding down bonus
It's negligible compared to the score for a tetris... both movies clear 164 lines (41 tetrises), so the bonus points would just be "overflow" :) Great job primo!

Very nice! Much higher score too since you completed more lines at once... I bet you can beat it though :)

Nice! Haven't watched it yet but I'm sure it's good ;) Impressed that you saved 8 more frames with the manipulation -- I tried a little bit and made it longer. I think the luck manipulation is a little more complex than we suspect, I want to look into that for the A version.

I for one would definitely like to see a B-style run published. Adelikat said that the A-run is more impressive, which is true to a certain extent in that it is longer and it works in a smaller space. But I would argue that it's more repetetive than the B-run and the B-run is impressive in it's clearing of the whole board. I think it takes more planning. (not to mention the much cooler ending!;) They're short and I think there is room for both. I will submit one if Chef doesn't :) As far as using the glitch on Acmlm's run, yes it will have to be done "by hand" but it's fairly trivial. I plan on either trying to obsolete the run time-wise (if i'm that cool) or at least revising it with the new glitch...

First off, great movie Chef Stef, great style and planning. I also love the end -- tempted to steal one of those characters for my avatar :)

If you want to make a version with luck manipulation without pausing, try just waiting (with the game unpaused) before holding down. I think that works to manipulate luck.
True, the next piece seems solely determined by what frame it appears. So mashing buttons etc does nothing. Unfortunately at this high speed, holding down doesn't actually speed up the bricks, so not holding doesn't change anything. However, if you hold left + right and down all at the same time, the falling brick and the "next" brick start flashing, and the falling brick does slow down. Using this technique, here is a version of Chef's movie without pausing. It uses the same set of pieces in the same order -- slightly lower score because it does not get the holding-the-down-button bonus. Still a strange graphical glitch, but not as severe, and the music doesn't cut in and out...

[Post deleted by Administration. The contents of the post were not the right direction to go on the forums.] Edit by Alden: Sorry it was in the wrong direction :( RE the movie, it was boring to me even in fast forward. Though I'd always wanted to see a game like this played... i just didn't know what was going on. For the record the screenshot i posted was the most amusing moment imho :)
