Great job, Maria! Good to see this project is still alive :)

I see, so hard mode would mostly be a novelty thing. Regarding SRAM: I'm sorry if it came off as rude, it's just that I kept seeing people bring up the issue when talking about various games lately. It frustrates me when ideas for TASes are immediately answered with "but it starts from SRAM", as if that would automatically be a bad thing.

Also, hard mode isn't available from power on.
I really wish this community would start to get over this. If people want to start from SRAM and provide a verification movie, where's the problem? 0% hard mode would be like the coolest way to show off this game, imagine how crazy this concept would seem for someone who only played it casually!

I'll take FF9 as an exemple as I'm familiar with it, just watching the intro, we are already 7 seconds behing the RTA times and that's only after 2 minutes. In an 8 hour movie, we're talking 20 minutes lost on loading times at least.
A PS1 emulator shouldn't be designed to emulate a PS2. If you want that, use a PS2 emulator.

100% is already routed well enough. I don't know where you got that route from, since it's outdated and suboptimal. If you're interested to see how the current route looks like, I suggest watching some of the more recent RTA runs. The TAS will probably not change too many things about that route.

This looked even faster than Episode 1! Some might say it's repetitive, but for a 3 minute run, you can't go wrong with a speed like this, specially if it involves frame perfect Nazi shooting. Ich stimme JA!

If not for the fact this uses arbitrary code execution, I'd complain about the Spiderman 2 glitched password thing being rejected. With that said, this is the first time I've seen a password screen used as an exploit. I wonder any other games with passwords have exploits?

It's great that this TAS was made. Now there is something to compare a new attempt to, and with those improvements, it will surely be good enough for a submission.

People talked about finishing that Animal Crossing TAS she started, but it never went anywhere.

Why are people going so crazy over Discord, I don't get it. You still need an account to do anything useful and it doesn't do it's stuff better than other software. Well, at least it makes less people use the terrible thing called Teamspeak as a voice chat (even though they should actually use Mumble).

There's a new cutscene skip: Link to video Unfortunately, the route in the current 100% WIP can't use it.

It's great that you want to finish this, regardless of some stuff not working yet. If Bizhawk is overall closer to console, it's still worth it. This TAS is too good to just stop, it deserves a publication on this site!

Seems a little silly to host tases of rom hacks while banning MQ 64.
MQ has an official release, ROM hacks are pure fan creations.

For a Master Quest TAS do you use BizHawk or Dolphin? And did you use the ROM ripped from the ISO image or did you use the ISO image itself as a whole? N64 allows for shorter load times and lower death count. GCN has longer load times and dying is faster than resetting when necessary. Note: The longer load times is only used after selecting the game in the game select screen.
There never was an official N64 release, so it would have to be GC, even if it's slower.

Guten Tag! This was more entertaining than I expected, I love how you can barely follow the gameplay sometimes. Easy yes vote!

I think your work with this game raises a good question, Alyosha. Should we replace published runs that were done on outdated emulators with newer, slower files that are accurate? I think we definitely should do that, accuracy is very important for TASing!

In the end, the TAS will just go OoB for like half the game.

It's funny how Tauros, the king of the Gen. 1 metagame, turns out to be just as good for TAS.

This game is terrible and by that I mean Superman 64-levels of terrible. But unlike Superman, Bubsy 3D actually has some entertainment value as a TAS. When watching it, you constantly remind yourself that when you were to try the game, you would probably have problems even moving in a straight line and knowing where you are. But the TAS makes everything look fluid and easy. It also helps that it isn't too long. I voted yes.
