[2794] DOS CD-Man "2 players" by c-square in 00:03.72 This one was so fast, additional encodes were made at 16.7% and 10% of its regular speed -- just so one could barely see the action on-screen. "Warp Speed" indeed!

[2868] FDS The Legend of Zelda "2nd quest, game end glitch" by TASeditor, Masterjun & sockfolder in 03:06.46 Even though the payoff is right towards the end, I found this glitch to be impressive (and creepy, considering the Level 9 music) in that the game itself appears to be operating on borderline collapse, right up until the triforce ending flag is triggered at the level entrance. Good stuff. [2968] NES Shadowgate "game end glitch" by Zekna & Randil in 04:17.48 Another one with the execution towards the end, but the "glasses glitch" also gives a good, unexpected payoff as soon as the hero enters into the main hallway. [2939] GB Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions by Scepheo, MUGG in 01:29.44 Navigating through the glitched "Super Stage" (0:50 in the encode) was a fun watch, right up to seeing Daffy Duck duke it out with an equally gitched-out boss and Marvin.

[2915] NES Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti "best ending" by Samsara in 19:11.24 When I first saw the 'Thriller' movement choreography in the first stage (at about 0:43 in the encode), I recall asking Samsara if that was a cutscene or actual input made. I was honestly amazed when he told me that it was input. In my opinion, it's quite humorous and I still get a kick out of watching it. The premise of the rest of the run also (being a parody of horror movies) was humorous enough to me to warrant giving a nomination.

Well, I ended up finishing this one rather quickly! Having the original run as a base made the re-routing process much faster. Here's the submission!

Well Warp, while I do agree with you that it's not right for anybody in this community to be treated by another (whether higher-ranking or otherwise) in a hostile or insulting manner -- I've gotta be rather upfront with you in saying that you should apply some of that critique to yourself. Of course you probably know that I'm referring to one of my off-topic threads that recently got grue'd due to your very own persistent hostility towards. I understand that you (and others) thought that the subject was ridiculous. That's fine. But instead of expressing your opinion on it and leaving it at that, you kept at it and escalated until one of the staff members had to step in and lock it. So Warp, to wrap up my thoughts on this matter, I just want to say that I've got no hard feelings toward you, but I do believe that you need to take an objective look at your own behavior.

I wanted to chime and say that Alyosha has done just outstanding work this year with all of his submitted runs. Granted, it didn't beat the all-time annual submission record; but from a more current day optimization standpoint, that's still a big achievement. Congrats to ya, Alyosha! It was a pleasure teaming alongside you and Samsara, earlier this year. Maybe Mission InTASible™ can reunite someday down to road for another big run!

Hi, Tormented. Do you think you'll have an updated file made here soon? I can set your submission to delayed, in the meantime.

I'm going back through Warsong again (the very 1st TAS I submitted here!) and have been amazed at the time saving gained, so far! Scenarios 1-4 have been re-done, with a total savings of 46,492 frames. Better tactics, optimization, and RNG manipulation, all around.

Beefster, your WIP is looking much better from your previous submission! You look to be just a bit over a minute ahead of it, currently. My only constructive criticism for you here is that there still seems to be some little things that you could be doing to shave down some more time. I noticed that my test WIP from your prior submission thread is still 21 frames faster at the stopping point where the first money upgrade is obtained. I'm not saying that means you have to now go back and re-do everything again! Particularly in the side-scroller dungeons though (and possibly the menu shop screens), there may be a trick or two that you can still utilize. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing your completed run :)

Late response, but I'm also with Samsara on going with the RTA variation (they're often better defined anyway, since active runners put more work into developing them). Looking forward to the 100% branch, Panda!

I believe that's the standard for curfew laws in the U.S (minors under 18). In Cleveland Heights, curfew lasts from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. http://www.clevelandheights.com/index.aspx?page=203 ...same for Hilliard http://hilliardohio.gov/police/don%27t-be-a-victim/curfew-laws Lorain City is a bit different, with curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. for those under the age of 17 http://www.lorainpolice.com/crime_prevention/curfew As RGamma stated, you can always try going to your local city hall and suggest they place their curfew laws onto their city website.

So far, I was thinking that that girl and I could still be friends in one way or another. But she avoided me all week. I gave her a letter where I expressed my feelings, my situation and what I would like (spend some time with her before she goes), but she seems to ignore that completely. And today, after the bus ride (in the small hospital bus) to our hometown, instead of waiting for me and walking together like always, she just walked off and never turned back. She stopped sitting next to me in the bus, also. Basicly spells "I don't care about you". I got this girl a present 2 weeks ago but I'm not going to give it to her anymore. I don't even feel so depressed about all this. She has sent me enough signals that she wants to be left alone. So I'm going to do just that. My letter was 4 pages long. I wrote about how thankful I was to have met her, and how I liked her, and how I wished we didn't lose track of one another and that we spend some time together before she leaves. But she has done nothing but avoid me. For me, a person who has played with my feelings like this and leaves me wondering "what could have been" or "what is going on" doesn't deserve my attention anymore. When the day comes where she leaves and everyone says there goodbyes, I will say nothing at all to her.
Indeed, if she is giving you the "cold shoulder" like that and ignoring you -- then that is not somebody worthy of your attention. I'm sure she wouldn't like it, either, if somebody ended up giving her a dose of her own medicine down the road. Looking back on my own life, I can say that this experience will make you stronger, MUGG. Like a deep cut, it initially hurts. But after a time, it heals right back up. Happy to hear you're doing better!

Been a while since I've updated this thread, but I'm now in the process of further looking into some of the leads I listed, back on my original post (as well as what nfq provided). In particular, I'm researching Professor A.B. Skinner from the July 14, 1916 report from the New York Times (I've uncovered a few interesting sources here). I may also include a section on Indian folklore -- just below the newspaper articles; with a possible section containing pictorial evidence just below that. All in all, I'm looking to make this into a solid collection of research. I'll update the date in the thread title once I've added additional content.

MUGG, first off, I want to say that I emphasize with you here: In terms of losing both female friendships and potential female relationships, I've been down both roads. A wounded heart often grieves more than a wounded body. Brother, you are in my thoughts right now, and will also be in my prayers. I realize those of us in our community are separated from you by both countries and oceans, but we're always just a log-in away.

If not, there's no harm in having the question ready, as I expect there to be dead people who have either found the answer or know how to find it. As for a context where "user God" is not redundant... that's actually an interesting way to think about it now that it's been worded in that manner.
I appreciate your sincere responses in this thread, Pokota. Unlike certain others, I'm not going to belittle you or make veiled condescending remarks toward you.

Then go ahead and point out a mistake from this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution
Here's a quote from the second paragraph in that article:
All life on Earth shares a common ancestor known as the last universal ancestor, which lived approximately 3.5–3.8 billion years ago, although a study in 2015 found "remains of biotic life" from 4.1 billion years ago in ancient rocks in Western Australia. According to one of the researchers, "If life arose relatively quickly on Earth ... then it could be common in the universe."
This sounds like faith and religious doctrine to me. Just replace Genesis 1:1 with Evolution 1:1 and state "In the beginning, Common Ancestor..." They also sound quite faithful on that 3.5-4.1 billion figure. That researcher's quote was telling, as well, in stating that such could be common phenomena in the universe. No hard, indisputable evidence. But faith, nonetheless.

The computer I'm using to write this message has a terrible keyboard which makes it impossible to TAS, and with the few hours I will have per week in a decent computer, I will rather focusing on SMW any%.
Ah, that's a shame, man. I hope you can get it fixed up soon. Well Kurabu, since this one has known improvements, do you want to go ahead and cancel this for now?

...As I said in another thread I really take issue with the wording on the Vault's info page where it refers to it as "the lowest publication tier". Last I checked a Vault was for the sake of preserving something, because it was worth preserving. Not a place to put something because it doesn't measure up to a very subjective sense of entertainment/value...
As a practical 'tweak' for at least a smaller issue, could the wording be changed instead to "the standard publication tier"?

To nudge back on-topic, this one has been published for over 2 1/2 years and has an average entertainment rating of 6.8 (with 5 votes). [2319] GBA Mega Man Battle Network 2 by mtvf1 in 1:38:35.28 It's a longer one, but perhaps it's time to bump it up to Moons?

First off, I'd like to apologize to Samsara (I didn't notice your post, until now), as I'm not sure if you intended to claim this one. Also xy2_, were you planning on cancelling this one to give it another pass through and make more improvements?
