finally, and official place for this. I feel so helpless reposting this bounty all the time on the poor solar jetman thread.... 1: SOLAR JETMAN, NES (any version) 2: Run type: 100% (all worlds and at least one of every item collected [and preferably used also]) 3: Must be moderately optimized and not boring 4: anticipating a LONG run :D payout: 20 BUX!!!!($20) highest bounty yet oh and i got 2 bux on that FF7 run so bump that to $12

For my next commentary, I was planning something along these lines. At the very least working with the emulator, pausing it, showing things in frame advance, showing ram watch values, etc.
PLEASE also, are there any runs of well known games that fit these subtitle descriptions? I would love to view what's available and suggest what we could use more of

Now are we talking all planets beat (except 13), or, do we mean grabbing every single treasure there is, beating every bonus stage there is, etc?
honestly if just all planets are completed I think it would be fine. As you mentioned, us die hard jetman fans would watch either or probably both; I think any kind of run that is substantial enough to show off some items I have never come close to obtaining myself would be a valuable and worthwhile endeavor. There seemed to be some interest in a more complete run, especially before the 1 to 7 warp was discovered........ by the way, anybody know of a compiled run that doesn't use said warp early on and plays more of the game? I would kill to see one, but i can't read the emu files referenced in the beginning of the thread. thanks

well i have nothing to offer, but if someone did do a 100% run or at least a run that shows off a bit of the potential for power ups..... i was never good enough at this game to get any cool stuff, this would be in my top 100% runs definately, probably mainly because of the game's nostalgia value for me.. anyways.., please?

if what nach said is true, end of conversation. people who enjoy "funny" audio commentaries can make them and make them available people who enjoy technical commmentaries can read them and people who don't care can turn them off. personally 99% of the time i am not into humorously inclined commentaries, but i see no reason they shouldn't be made available. also i typically love reading technical subtitles, and learning that they are optional makes them even more useful, because of course once you know what the subtitles say you can just turn them off. for the sake of science, i have to agree with the majority that subtitles are more useful when it comes to informative commentary that audio. plus what if you like to bump the music an sfx LOUD?

I was able to unearth a brief discussion re: Haunting Starring Polterguy in the backlogs of the forum, wondering if there was ever any actual consideration for a TAS of this game. From what I remember from ten years ago this game could be pretty interesting to watch. Any thoughts?

i would watch a playthrough for this for sure, i'd dedicate 10 hours of my life to watching somebody destroy this game inside and out. any ideas where i can find any of these files, so far no luck... crawled through the metroid 2002 forum but couldn't find any downloadables.. maybe they don't exist D:

i know it has been mentioned, with a (not) surprising lack of interest, but since the thread has jumped up i might as well test the waters one more time. if anybody did want to try a 100% run they would have to realize that it would almost certainly not be published, but that you would make SJ fools like Fihlvein and I reeeally happy :D:D:D kind of like a charity run i bet bisqwit would watch it.. EDIT: oh yea no warps a must

http://www.viddler.com/explore/dainegai/videos/5/ thought this was very interesting and very entertaining, however it certainly isn't up to standard for the movies on this site. Anybody ever considered running this game with full epic optimization. I'm really into this hack, and I know hacks are discouraged, but I feel this is just begging for a legit TAS. Any Thoughts?

hi everyone, i'd really like to have the opportunity to view games before they are published, or to view games that wont ever be published (rejected movies Id still like to see). Anyways, i can't for the life of me find something to play these files. Are they for a specific emulator perhaps? I did a search but given the keywords I had to look for I wasn't surprised to have no luck finding anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, JON G
