lag frames cannot be "exploited" to get a smaller timer value (at the expense of a longer movie), and thus it's not relevant if that counter is not completely in sync with the emulator's frame counter. Optimizing the number of frames will automatically optimize that internal counter too. In that way they are "in sync".
not?

samus' hit box radius plays a part in how much lag is added to door transitions. The bigger the radius, the less lag there is usually. I cannot however, explain why it happens.
o.O? maybe i don't get it

There are already three different movies of this game. It would indeed be questionable to have a fourth.

can we make it over the whole thing there? even if it needs 2309402394 rerecords it would have so much style in the next 100% version!

try using the turnarround animation for the last blow to give him some more missiles while being inside of him (turn arround animation to NOT get knocked back) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1532799319/tonski.smv ignore the first 2 missiles try to get more in than me like in the second cycle (kill him 2 rounds if the missile damage and his life are equal to the normal SM)

That gives me an idea. How about abolishing the poll and instead, rating the submission as publications are rated now? Ratings would transfer/extend to the published movie once it's published. To better help judges, it could also represent the ratings graphically to show the distribution of votes.
i like that

Which is more important, generally, real time, or in-game time?
In-game time for those who want to compare with human-only playing performances. I hold real time more important.
These are movies of classic console games being played extraordinarily, using an emulator as a tool to overcome human limitations such as skill and reflex. © tasvideos.org :D?

I would be patient if the product that came out was good. When I try to make it 100% optimized it takes way to long like I am doing something wrong long. This might just be something I can't do (it wouldn't be the first)
i thought you have so much freetime, a 100% of optimizing something sure takes loooooooooong! longer then you might think off but even then the result is awesome! you just need some time to get more into it then you will be likely get better results a bit faster!

Apart from what seemed like interlacing artifacts (could be a playback problem on my end), the video was entertaining and I enjoyed most of the music. Nice job :)
You can fix that though: 1. get VirtualDubMod and load the video 2. select "menu | video | filters" 3. add the deinterlacing filter, option "blend frames together" 4. press F7 to save the file; in the dialog use the "change" button to select the compression
should i use that for my future videos too? does it increase quality or something?

turns per second/minute? reaction time? those things determine the speed of your HDD (hard-disk-drive)
well I got a few hard-drives, so I'd be a fool to use anything on the same drive as my os
normal partitions wont help , they need to be real (most people using fraps claim to have more HDDS but actually they just had partitions..)
