id like to post my opinion about that point ingame and realtime now too(it counts for everything not just for metroid but ill post it here since it gots often into moderation) if a game offers a ingame time counter at the end of the game like supermetroid or some other games i prefer to get the best ingame time rather then the real time counting the realtime was just to to compare tases/speedruns without an ingame timer... for example SDA it counts the metroid prime runs from there ingame timer because they have one( i think ), the other games were counted in other ways (cutting out the intro and stuff if i remember correct)

EDIT: And to everybody who still misunderstands me, I never said I'm superior to anybody. I just said that I got a perfect time. Speaking the truth is hopefully still allowed, or isn't it?
well maybe its perfect(or not i dont care really) but that wasnt making people think you'd be arogant i think it was more this one
And don't have too much hope on the escape either. You won't beat my times there, because they are perfect as well. I'm actually glad you work on it by now, so hopefully we will see your (slower but without seeing my version still impressive) result soon. :-)
it was a really hard one to read, you just can't say someone will be slower it looks like if you push your self up higher above others and thats not really nice :(!

well ive tested tons of frame adding stuff now to affect the randomness and well thats how far iam now http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/224653771/%21nbmb%2B8.smv (yeah it is jxq's movies but the begining wont change due its perfect so far ;/ blame me for it) i have added 8 frames in the intro and 1 frame to correct the desync occuring from the 8 frames before well the result is really good i guess in room 4 at the escape i was able to fully pump(hero told me its able with good steam) the whole way and gained some pixels before jxq i just post it to have other test with it too because i need quite much time to optimize a door or a spikeboost compared to hero moozooh or other people here :D hope you found something soon and post it :D EDIT: breaking news with that smv i was able to open the last door 4 frames earlier then jxq - without optimizing it very well (yet) maybe that helps to archive a very good time now!

untill now i came to that point that there are two different timers occuring from delaying frames in the intro heres what i found until now the timer known as jxq's: room1: frame 2412 timer said 59'87 room2: frame 2509 timer said 58'26 room3: frame 2612 timer said 56'54 room4: frame 2777 timer said 53'79 room5: frame 2899 timer said 51'75 last room: 49'01 well thats the first timer up to know here the one occuring from delaying frames in different ways which different amount in the intro the weird timer: room1: frame 2412 timer said 59'86 - lost xx'01 room2: frame 2509 timer said 58'24 - lost xx'01 here again room3: frame 2612 timer said 56'53 - gained back xx'01 ! room4 with jxq's steam pattern: frame 2777 timer said 53'79 - gained 01 back again room5 and the last room couldn't be tested now because iam right now not able to tie jxq's frames due some slighty changed steam things but it would be very intresting to see if the timer gained more time in the last 2 rooms.. well we see the weird second timer has some special thing in it i hope i could show you thats for the timers in ceres i know so far edit: so far from look at the frames and the timer at that point the weird timer in room5 says 51'78 at frame 2899(jxq's leaving frame for that room) so it gained xx'03 here !!!!(!) and even if you lose a frame its 51'76 at frame 2900 still + xx'01 now play with your minds

i edited an SMV file and added one single frame.. after saving the movie had no inputs after all? do you know why what have i done wrong? everything seems to be saved but not the inputs? (if i reload the file with the editor it still have inputs displayed) edit: maybe i should add i used snex9x 1.51 is it supported even? also i should add when i replay the smv and fastforward it stop about 6000 frames but its 11000 frames long..
