i just saw your wip cpadolf and saw my second 10% version is much slower damn :( i tried to get the same framecount in the rooms as you but it fails at every door transition and i dont know why .. iam monitoring this weird memory watch stuff and whatever i do - i keep getting the same framecounts(btw its not only cpadolfs framecounts its all of yours jxq/hero etc. etc.) maybe i just dont know how to enter/pass doors quickly enough or quicker then i do could someone tell me what/why/howto? i really need it because i were able to improve or remove other errors from my first testrun except those doortransitions/joinings/passings(i keep loosing frames everydoor if i compare any wips to mine) hope someone can help me out :) btw: thx saturn iam more up now - not cured but getting better at least

wow nice wip again moozooh :)! why wont you release more wips :(((!!!!! i need them i love them waaah for those asking what iam doing at the moment: iam very f*cking ill since the last weeks and this keeps me to my bed more then anywhere else :/

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1665479524/extraPbomb..smv found out while fooling arround again, after a crystal flash the powerbomb icon stays selected(if you had 11 before to do so) and you can start a beam combo with 00 powerbombs then but only 1 time because the game disables the icon after the combo :D! maybe usefull maybe not what do you think?

thanks hero ;) well lets say this one took sure moretime to rerecord :P because i needed about 20 rerecords or something like this for the preXrayroom i didnt really optimize anything in that run.. iam feeling how hard it is to get a good go in tasing with SM this subpixel subpixelspeed stuff is not that easy so its gonna take some more time again to give it a good go edit:btw hero i dont know how to make the way too the xray like that because i want to shape of the waiting time at the way back but i guess it would make the way to the xray a bit longer but afterall it should be faster and more entertaining then just standing and waiting there or?

yeah you are right moozooh :)! very nice hero ;) so that means i should not watch at the time counter ingame to compare the 1.43 vs 1.51 - instead should watch the ingame frames... ok ok.. man and i wondered why i cant even get the same time with you and/or jxq

well good movie hero :)! you should use some transitions for the scene cut or something to make it easier to watch for people who dont know metroid and cant follow a cutszene or a new room [edit] ok maybe some szenes are supposed to have no transition to fit in the music beat ;) forgott about it sorry^^ to the -1.51-thing: well what are your times in each room in ceres with 1.51? i tried to tie the room after ridley with you and allways got xx.22 and you xx.23 :/! i tried 30-45 minutes and left it with xx.22 :/(still xx.08 faster then my old :p) to the runs: there are two things which take time, getting powerbombs in v1 - and skipping chozo in v2 i guess i need somemore time then i planned to

i couldnt go back if i did not wait at the way back;) and considerate its a sloppy sloppy testrun :/ i didnt think off that maybe i could save enough energy for the wayback without waiting ---- the metroids die in different times but its not much time between their deathes but i know what you mean iam giving my best :x

well well i see 10% is the deal guys ;).. i know ive done a shitty hp-managment .. or let me say i did not do any managment on this run - it was like give it a try and learn tasing or something like that.. tips like moozooh's are really helpfull to me, if you have more ideas or improvements for the next version i would like to see them - i never tought of the pirate droping a super missile for example ;D
Also, a piece of trivia: killing the first rinka spawned in the room with metroids makes all of them (including those offscreen) active. You'll have to do it at least for the first room (otherwise you won't have enough ammo). Kinda like this.
i dont understand this, i have killed all the 4 metroid now with 3 powerbombs without minding any rinka stuff or something like that - but i cant manage to get at least 3 powerbombs(or perfectly 4) yet any ideas how to manage this? it is kinda difficult because when i get 2 pb's and 2 other items i cant change my position in order to change there position - if i do so i allways lose the 2pb's and get complete different stuff another question: seeing the pre-xrayroom was boring or what? i couldn't follow your postings at all about that

- the ice beam would not save time i guess xD - another missile pack maybe + the energy tank - i could shot the bluegate like the greengates with the supermissile-trick and open it backwards ( do you think its a faster route then ? )

well yeah i see i must go through this nightmare but thats ok i had some thought for the final noboss run let me show you.. - going through blue brinstar after the xray maybe to avoid the bombjump to the third powerbomb(well i dont know whats faster yet) - taking the first energytank to make it easier since it is a no boss run so the 10% would not mind it or? its not the lowest classic-low% and not the lowest-xray glitch, taking it would make it easier and faster i guess to get noboss/miniboss at fastest time what do you guys think?

i know i cant get much damage because the drops will be just energy but does that mean only missiles make them drop more then one item? and a stinkypowerbomb gives just 1 normal item :/? - because i could not get farer the last days i started abit of "training" with the beginning and i could shape of ~200 frames up to the morphball yet.. ;) but i guess finishing the metroids/and the testrun will take a little bit more time then i tought

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5829/10.smv iam exhausted trying to beat them, got the first two down, and then somehow i made the second one respawn or something like that?! i dont know its so hard and the drops seem to be the same and only one item per kill mostly ps: iam really angry on them now, tried the whole time to kill them all at once did succeed mostly but all of them just drop 1 item... thats not what i thought off? why is that? normaly they are supposed to drop 2-5?

it cant fail since kej said the byte is set like it should be with the intro screen :) if it does not work there may be more bytes important for that

it takes some time to get enough powerbombs from the mtroids but iam sure its done the next days/week - i have to do 1 exam and then iam kinda free for some time hope ill get a good start with the real thing then i feel like you want to see the end? or ending time :p? the run looks so crappy i can't even understand that you ask for it :>

huh nice thank you moozooh:) mem watcher does work fine i see there is a snes-reset.exe is that the one i need or does the 1.51 supply a function for reset while recording? iam really helpless with that

that wont/didnt make the mem watcher to work, the memory entry is missing i guess, does anyone know it? i posted the current ones in my last post ps: and still how do i reset while recording :D?! i need it for the no boss run v2 pss: i glitched all the way up in the statue room like kej, but i fail the bomb jump - i do exactly bomb jump like him and end up to the room left and not in the elevator

wow fast answers ;)! thanks moozooh moozooh knewed what i meant with bevel its too hard to explain for me with my english skills i guess(i just googled for bevel) so well i see i need 1.51 for the next version because of the reset in tourian :) "value for publishing this category?" - i ask because there is an any% run which would be kind a slower but more entertaining for some people but dont break your mind for the purpose of answering this question.. it was just something unserious
