I can't see why the Mumbo tokens are being included in 100%. After 75 they're totally useless, and if a viewer didn't know that there were exactly 115 (or whatever it is) then there'd be no way of verifying that the player actually got them all. Not to mention that'd mean taking the player to all ends of the map.
in NES metroid there is a useless energytank too but in the 100% run it gets collected because its an item

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1686/JBJr-optimized.fcm had to fallback to the first weaponswitch due a faster way of switching between weapons, also i wasn't happy with thar water part i think this one is better any comments for this? i know its again only a short part but i have to test much things and different ways.

i like your wip's and tests but for sure this is gonna be a "turn-sound-off" game like zelda:OoT - kazooies "yaaar ohhhh" or something like that makes me go mad ;)

I'm not really sure which run to start after the RBO. If Redesign gets accepted I would have more interest to do this run first. But after that I definitely will record a any% as long as no one makes a optimized one till then.
i tried improving terima's run but failed at certain places(like 1-round kill phantoon), even if my version were "much" faster it was not optimized .. not even close - so iam glad to hear you would do it anytime(longtime.. :p) ps: whats about ogreslayers any%? thought he did start one some month ago?

I hope if everything goes well (and I find the needed time for it) to finish this run in 2-3 months depending on the troubles in Maridia I don't know yet.
Oh yeah Maridia/draygoon is hella fun ;D good luck to you with that ps: the forum is hell slow today for me (loading metroid page 44 did last 40 seconds or more) ... is it my connection??

cool to hear that you'll finish it .. maybe you could use this doubleshot trick/bug what ever i found out as i played that game, it maybe usefull for the firstboss http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1555/doubleshot.smv shot short before landing on the ground and immediately after landing on the ground shot again - this allows you to shot 2 times in shorttime
