here's a website I've been following for a few years that has tons of amazing and interesting articles to read, I hope you all enjoy what is available :) http://www.damninteresting.com/ The site became stagnant in 2009 due to a billing dispute (Site owner lost FTP access) but very recently (This month) has resolved the problem and is back in operation!

I vote "No" as you avoid too much of the last level making it really boring to watch.

That and I wouldn't like it for the same reason I don't like the Alien Carnage TAS, too fast to follow.

Is this still being worked on? :/ Edit: That SDA video operates at a terrible frame rate making it hard to know whats happening half the time. I'm sure it was once considered "good" in 2005 however..

Best NES multiplayer game, 2nd to Trog and maybe Super Mario BROS. 3 :) This TAS sadly doesn't show much about the game lol, no showing what money from the train does, the indian, the boats, taking forts, other battlefields, level 3 armies etc. Also doesn't play on hardest difficulty :/

I have a feeling PikachuMan is talking about the version patched by the guys at bszeldalegends website. Removes all the time delays etc.

I disagree. Turbo mode is an actual in game option, so I can't imagine why it's use would not be permitted,
I didn't say that the use of Turbo mode should be banned, I'm simply stating my opinion that Turbo mode makes the game so fast that it's way hard keeping track of what the heck is going on. To me it degrades the entertainment aspect.

If I were to have voted for this prior to it being published, I would have voted No for 2 reasons. 1) It seems to use Turbo mode (I at least don't remember the game being that insanely fast) 2) It's not Halloween Harry with the more logical episode progression.

If someone knows how to resolve the stutter caused by vsync or the screen tear caused by a lack of vsync, please let me know. I've searched for a solution to this for months, even tried various refresh rates with vsync to no avail. It's the only thing that truely stops me from enjoying this game :/

Codec packs are generally known to be bad. You should only need CCCP, which is a collection of the known components to play the world's different audio and video formats. Any DirectShow player should do, but I prefer Zoom Player.
So, codec packages are bad, yet you recommend a codec package... nice logic there.

Yeah DivX was correct in that I was indeed missing just the audio codec required. After installing the ac3filter I link to in my 2nd edit, DivX and MPC now play the video files perfectly fine.

I've tried Windows Media Player, DivX Player, Media Player Classic and Winamp. WMP and DivX play the video fine but without audio and DivX states I need a Dolby AC3 codec. Media Player Classic plays the video faster then normal and with crackle for audio. Winamp just loops a billion times per second and requires Task Manager to close it. So, what would you use to play such a media file? I am avoiding VLC as that has been extremely crash prone ever since they did the GUI update eons ago. That and the interface for it is ugly as sin. Edit: I'll give MPlayer a go, I forgot all about that ever since I stopped tinkering with recording in Zsnes eons ago. Or I would, if there website wasn't an empty FTP directory listing. Edit 2: This worked http://ac3filter.net/wiki/Download_AC3Filter

Is the downloadable video file (AVI) done at a higher frame rate then the Youtube one?

Except for Castlevania (never played it), all of the things you mentioned don't have an annoying noise associated with the action.

True, it is slightly faster but at a rather significant cost to entertainment. The movie is great in the sense of a pure TAS with only the camera considered when working entertainment into it.

If anyone makes an improvement to this can you please NOT spam Roll, Jump and Flap during the early areas (Just RUN for christ sake) and when you get the Breegull Trot or whatever (where Kazooie runs for you) can you not spam the jump? So very, very fucking annoying, like when watching someone else play and they go out of there way just to annoy you with the same sound fx over and over and over.

Wtf is this game, whats the one where you start off in a city (instead of jungle) and they replaced the 3D sections in the game with overhead ones? Last I recall it has just as good graphics as the original Contra D: this game has horrible graphics so it obviously isn't this Contra, though it does start in a city area. In one of the 2d platforming sections I recall a part where theres earthquakes causing parts of the ground to fall or rise etc. as you make your way to the right, the first boss in the first overhead section is 3 guys up the top in some contraption/tank thing shooting at you etc. Can anyone remember that game? Was awww yeah, much better then Contra (Gameplay wise and graphically).

The MKV file doesn't play here, I've tried the latest Winamp, VLC, DIV X and Windows Media Player programs to no avail :/ Div X, Winamp and WMP all don't report an error when attempting to play the file, it just doesn't player longer then a split second. VLC however Hangs. I've told uTorrent to re-check the downloaded file and it says it's 100% downloaded D: Other MKV files play fine.

Oh true I wasn't thinking of it in a TAS sense, you can just possess a creature and walk right in etc.. I would rather an attempt at quickly finding/obtaining all the ? powerups on each level or kill every enemy. Would help keep it more interesting.
