Have you read Archanfel's post?

It's not a trick, as you claim it, but a cheat, and the reason why Archanfel didn't collect these in his run.

I myself tried in ePSXe and got the same results. To go on further, the CRC32 hash I get with the PSX Disc Hasher does not match with the one on redump.org (090F37C9 instead of redump.org's 2F7737A3), so it may as well be a bad dump. EDIT: So I managed to find a dump whose full CRC32 matches with that of redump.org's. Now come the good news: 1) The movie syncs on it. 2) The credits don't bug up! In the end, the one that's commonly found is the bad dump, but the TAS syncs on the "good" dump. EDIT 2: Note to publishers: I'll encode and publish this movie when it gets accepted.

Citation needed. All the files I uploaded to MediaFire on my account are still available, some going as far back as 2010. EDIT: AngerFist's requested encode is now available on MediaFire: https://www.mediafire.com/?yzuiafvrf7m4udt

As a rule of thumb, you should not upload your encodes straight to Archive. We (the publishers) take care of that when a run gets accepted. Therefore, upload to e.g. MediaFire first, so we can review it. Secondly, the primary downloadable is supposed to be 10-bit 4:4:4; however, this is not the case here (yours is YV12 (or 8-bit 4:2:0)), so it's not even acceptable.

Addendum re: ROM dump: It seems that even in the No-Intro set, there are inconsistencies. The version labelled (USA) (SGB Enhanced) (which I guess is the perfect ROM) I got is, in fact, recognised by BizHawk as being the (Europe) version (needless to say its SHA1 checksum doesn't match with that of the ROM used), whereas the one labelled as (Europe) (SGB Enhanced) I got is recognised as being the (USA) version by BizHawk (the ROM used for this movie).
I decided to investigate a little bit further into the whole ROM issue, and I found something odd. MESS database entry of what they consider to be the European version MESS database entry of what they consider to be the American version (which is what this movie uses) The former mentions info that the latter doesn't in the title screenshot, namely, "Namco Hometek, Inc.", and as it turns out, it's the U.S. consumer division of Namco. Therefore, it appears to me that it was not the American version that was used, but the European version, for this TAS, because that info is definitely missing in the title screenshot of what MESS considers to be the American version.

I) Which version are you using? II) Have you tried deleting your configuration file (or moving it to a different location)?

On Windows 7 and 8(.1), you can. (go to Control Panel -> Windows Update -> Change settings -> Set to "Notify but don't download") On Windows 10, you can't.

Check the timestamps. It was unobsoleted three years ago and re-obsoleted now..
It never was re-obsoleted. I'm definitely not seeing the "This movie has been obsoleted!" note.

That particular run was obsoleted by the Arcade version. However, since the introduction of the Vault, the NES version is no longer obsoleted by the Arcade version. See this post.

Technically, we do have both the NES and the Arcade versions published on the site. This run obsoleted the NES run back when it was first published. However, following the introduction of the Vault, the NES run was no longer obsoleted by the Arcade version. See this post. And as I suspected, the movie description of this run was never edited to reflect this and led to confusion. I've now edited the description to reflect this.

You need to configure joystick #2 in BizHawk (it works (as in, I can play the game) in VICE if I insert a joystick into port #2).

The very first avatar I used on this site. It's actually a portion of the title screen (which randomises every so often) of the game ROM Check Fail (Windows standalone) (Linux standalone) and my name slapped on it. Very original, I know. Following my second return to the site (June 6th, 2012) and until August 23rd, 2012, I had Youmu Konpaku from the Touhou Project series of videogames as my avatar: From August 23rd, 2012 until November 10th, 2019 (officiously until May 25th, 2019 on this website), I used various avatars depicting Yuyuko Saigyouji, also from the Touhou Project series of videogames: (August 23rd, 2012 - October 28th, 2012) (October 28th, 2012 - December 6th, 2012) (December 6th, 2012 - January 17th, 2013) (January 17th, 2013 - February 24th, 2013) (February 24th, 2013 - April 18th, 2013) (April 18th, 2013 - August 18th, 2013) (August 18th, 2013 - November 30th, 2013) (November 30th, 2013 - April 26th, 2014) (April 26th, 2014 - October 15th, 2014) (October 15th, 2014 - April 6th, 2015) (April 6th, 2015 - July 11th, 2015) (July 11th, 2015 - February 7th, 2016) (February 7th, 2016 - June 14th, 2017) (June 14th, 2017 - November 10th, 2019 (though officiously until May 25th, 2019 on this website)) Since November 10th, 2019 (officiously since May 25th, 2019 on this website), I have Badeline from Celeste as my avatar: (November 10th, 2019 - April 8th, 2020) (April 8th, 2020 - now) Whew, what an amount. By the way, I also have mood avatars. You can see those that I used at least once here (there are a couple others I haven't used yet). Of note that I also have an alternate mood set (1001-1013) featuring Badeline from Celeste. EDIT 2019-11-10: I have somewhat revamped my mood avatars now. Mood avatars 1-42 and 1201 now feature Madeline from Celeste, while my new "default" avatar now moved to slot 1001 (so as to have a smooth transition).

I think this could be a good idea. Along the same line of thought, might I recommend a thread for Gruefood/Vault Tier changes? With a GrueDude to complete the triumvirate. I nominate #1493: Bisqwit's DOS Star Control II in 35:03.50.
If you read the submission topic, you'll notice that, starting from this post, it's very difficult getting the TAS to sync. In fact, it doesn't even sync for the author of that TAS anymore, so I dare say that nobody can get the TAS to sync (which is a requirement for judging and publishing a movie).

That's because the option isn't present in BizHawk 1.11.1 at all. Use the most recent version instead.

The TAS in itself was well made. However, I didn't find it very entertaining to watch. Therefore, I'm going to vote No on entertainment. It can be published to the Vault, though.

The TAS in itself is pretty good, but it's pretty much the same thing over and over again. Therefore, I'm voting no on entertainment. It's good for the Vault. Note to other encoders/publishers: I'll be publishing this one once it gets accepted.
