Don't go by a route that should work, you go by a route that WILL work. You obviously need more testing to be done. As for the game choice, I don't know if the run will be accepted. As everyone said before, its the same game, harder levels, for that reason, it makes it a bit of a poor game choice. What happened to the OoT run you were doing? you shaved about 14 seconds off of Bloobs run and then you stopped. If I were you, i'd wither finish it, or go ahead and TAS the Powerpuff girls. Which I think is for GB? EDIT: I know this post was sounding a little mean, but I had no intention of it being that way. All I intended to do was to say not to give up on the OoT run and to keep with it, it was clear you were going to beat the record. TASing is difficult. I know it came out a bit harsh, and I'm sorry if it came out that way. I wanted to try and say what Kirk was saying, basically just don't TAS a game for the record.

If that is the case, then is RBA possible for Master Quest?Just because it is a OoT remake does not mean it has everything OoT has in terms of glitches etc. Nintendo might have gone in and cleaned up the game a little bit. You should find this out before you spend time doing it for nothing. Secondly, whats the point of doing Master Quest anyway? The only thing that is different about the game is the dungeons, and they are just a bit harder. Is it really necessary?

MQ originally came out for the gamecube. I would know, until a few weeks ago I had the game. It was a remake of OoT and had harder levels, though the graphics were the same at OoT, the controls were more adapted to be played on the GC. It came with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker when you ordered it. If that is the case, should we be doing the GC games on the GC emulators?

i thought he was working on an all dungeons run. it would be safe to obsolete that because there probably can be huge improvements to be made. which he has begun to make.

an MQ RBA? what did I just say? The run is ALREADY BEING WORKED ON. There would be no point for you to do it. On the other hand, the all dungeons need to be completed, so like you were already, work on the all dungeons run.

i would stay away form the RBA, it is already being worked on, and it looks like there in the route planning stage. i would go for an all dungeons run if i were you.

WIP For anyone who missed it last post. If anyone is bored, I am having a very difficult time optimizing the last 300 or so frames ( when i enter form the book case and jump over the two bugs). Frame 9296 to the jump over the butler type guy, which is about 300 frames. I end up losing three frames, sometime as many as four, and there nor frames I care to lose. I could really use some help, if anyone is willing to give it. Thank you, it is much appreciated.

WIP This is my current WIP. I will try to redo the last 300 frames or so because i can get them to be faster. The enemy placing is different in those frames, because of the frame I enter, so i cannot just copy the current run. I am 15 frames ahead of Tompa. The big jump in the begging of the first stage, is 1 frame faster, believe it or not. I don't know if I did something else to save the other 14 frames. Any help with the last 300 frames would be appreciated. Any help in general will also be appreciated.

as long as there are links to different games where you can get different addresses. putting a giant list of games one one page, with every system and what not might seem confusing.

well when i was checking out Data Crystal, it seemed to be more about ROMs and ROM hacks. I could for the life of me see where they kept the memory addresses. I know some of you have been there before and know right where to look, but it seems to me that the pages I looked at had ROM hack info. Adelikat's page seemed useful, as everything was already laid out for you. I think we should post them there. Somewhere where thy are all in one place and easy access to.

Are RAM addresses the same thing as memory addresses?

Hm.... this looks interesting, when im done with the Maui Mallard improvement I may look into it. It also seems like you used tow players at the same time? or was that the second controller?

Ive found a 1 frame improvement so far, but due to an enemy placement, or a late start or something ( couldn't tell you what, but i'll look into it.) I had to lose one frame, so the improvement didn't pay off much, but still it is faster. I am currently 14 frames ahead of Tompa (with the one frame improvement, it was 15) but i'll look closely and see if I can find a way to keep the one frame. I am not posting a WIP as I have been hit with a string of Essays and will have to work straight until Tuesday. I know it sucks, but what can you do. I will mess around with what i can tonight, to see if I can keep that one frame.

This run looks boring, and I bet not a whole lot of Luck manipulation was used. I bet if you pulled off greater combos at once, it would probably be more interesting.
