Sylphine to help you, I would recommend a memory watcher. If you type in " Gocha's memory watcher" into Google, it will bring you to the page for it. Make sure you download the SNES one. If you have any questions, talk to NAHOC, he speaks french and will help you out. I think most of the addresses you should be watching are located in this forum. it would be helpful if someone could post them.

I played this game, its seems nearly impossible to get 100% kills. Then again I could be wrong. Its seems awfully slow though.

Most of it has to do with the finding of new things, the timing of Jumps. This isnt a new movie, hes beeen working on it off and on for some time.

i don't have msn, but feel free to write anyone here a Pm (personal message). We understand its difficult to speak in a language that's not your native language. Derakon speaks french, and others here might be able to help you out in french ( i don't know who speaks French or not).. If you have any questions that are a bit difficult for you to understand in English, feel free to contact someone in French, as it will help you understand it better.

Ok this is pretty simple. The function keys at the top of your key board (F1,F2..etc all the way to F10). Press the buttons to load the save state, Press shift and the button to create a save state. When you ready to start recording a movie, load the rom. Click file, record movie, and make sure it says, Record from now. Start playing. When your finished, make a save state and stop. When you want to continue recording, hit file, then click PLAY MOVIE. Please make sure "open read only" is NOT checked ( if it is, click the check mark to un-check it). Start the play back and load the save state. Then you can keep recording! You shouldn't try to record again, it will just record over.

There is a secret of mana thread in the SNES forums, everything should be explained regarding tricks and what not. As for other things, I would create a new topic, asking about certain things. There are a few areas on the site that will have information that people could link you to. There are other things that are not mentioned on the site. If your persistent about doing the secret of mana, You are going to need to get a memory watcher. I would recommend Gocha's memory watcher. Just type it into Google and the page should come up. I am very sorry if you have a tough time reading this. I enjoy giving help, but i speak no french.

I really hate to tell you this, but secret of mana is the wrong game for beginners. Especially because you have to control three characters at one point. I would recommend a game that is easy to do, i would go to the game suggestions forum and look there.

be careful though, sometimes starting the game at a certain frame has a certain effect on the level or the game.

Its easy, you write a book and copyright it. Someone else wants to print your book from another company, they need to pay you to do so. On the other hand, a popular magazine wants to have an article published with a quote form your book, they can do so as long as they give your credit. Now when the copyright expires and something goes into the public domain, it is free to use. I could hand publish my own versions of Shakespeare if I wanted to, and I would have to pay a nickel to any estate. Its free to use. I personally dont know the laws of video game copyrighting, it would be helpful to look up. But most companies who made these games are not making ANY money off of these game( and if they are, From the Wii virtual console, then very little). Why should they care how there used? IF we were doing this for games that were out today, and downloading them illegally, then it would be wrong.and they would have a case. As long as the Name of the game and the system it came out for are listed, we should be fine. Also i think listing the name of the person who made the run should also help.

I like the questions they were good, but do you mind If I make a suggestion? We get alot of new people here who sign up and lurk. maybe they post in some of their favorite games about things that they have found but don't publish runs or start a TAS. Would it be better if we have a question like: Do i have to TAS to be on the site? or WHat if i just want to Lurk? Maybe something to that extent. I feel like people might see those questions and feel like its saying HI welcome to TASvideos, NOW MAKE A TAS. I know when i first came here, I just wanted to see progress and read about the games. It was just a little bit before i actually wanted to start TASing.

I just had a thought. should we post a link to the IRC in here, to get the newbies, or newcomers, onto the IRC to talk to people when they need?

What about any action platformers? With the exception of actraiser, I think I would like to do one of those.

I'm putting the Final fantasy improvement on hold now, it gave me a headache. plus I don't think Im anywhere near experienced enough to try an RPG, yet. I saw the list of games in the newbie corner, but they were all NES, and the Flinstones games for the SNES were slow( plus in one of the, Fred looked like he had a one too many strokes. I'm serious too.). Could anyone recommend a run that would be good for a beginner to start with? thanks

imaddnessvi, you have a lot of work to do, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcYPTBLRnm8&feature=related this is s swordless links run his run is far more optimized than yours. Its 10 seconds slower, but that is because he includes the opening animation, which you skip. Listen its clear your not playing frame by frame, if you try doing this, it will make your runs look better. First of all you should go get the sling shot, and have the deku nut and and stick already equipped. You shouldn't stop to kill the skulta, and if you have 5 deku nuts, why do you stop to get another one? you could wipe off even more time. i know you saved 10 seconds, but this run isnt optimized. i saw a run where the slingshot was skipped, and it was about 10 seconds faster.
