Wow, this game looks awesome, after watching that I really want to play it myself! Can't believe I've never heard of it. Big yes vote.

I guess the twin kindergarten-level submissions of this + my little pony will finally force tasvideos to set a precedent about whether target audience is a criterion for what constitutes bad game choice...

Peh, I could have done that in real-time. I guess I'll vote yes anyway, just to be nice.

Actually, I prefer "stamp". I think he meant that he stamps them with an expiration date. I do this to my enemies in real life.

13 votes with no encode? Clearly this is going to be more about setting a precedent (or not) concerning kindergarten-level games. That said, yes vote. kidding. encode... please?

Wak017, like moozooh said, a re-submission w/ the credits being shot would probably fare much better. I for one would change my vote to yes. Are you planning to submit another version?

I decided to go with No... my central gripe remains the credits being untouched, but I think other people have raised good points about the run being inconsistent, i.e. sometimes going for entertainment, sometimes going for speed, or at least, so it seems. EDIT: I LOVE Mitjitsu's idea of doing a 4p match, I think one that goes purely for entertainment could be positively epic & hilarious, especially if executed in a sort of "comedy show" style. =)

YOU DIDN'T SHOOT THE CREDITS!!!!!!!!! Watching this was like experiencing a really awesome concert, except at the very end, when everyone is expecting the band to close with something amazing, they just walk off stage, and everyone is like, wtf? That's it? They're not gonna play Hey Jude??!!? ARRRRGH!!!! Sorry, but despite its awesomeness, I just can't vote yes with the credits left intact.

So, how did the 2 people that voted yes watch it?
Simple. They haven't. They probably just voted Yes because it's the first GC submission and/or it's Super Smash Bros. Melee.
And I think it's disturbing that some people are voting no or meh. I'd really love to know what the rationale is there.

Poor Mario works so hard to rescue that ungrateful ho, and what does he get? A pack of insensitive TASers taking away his BLJ, that's what. Not cool, guys. "Hey Princess, I rescued your ass again, how about some BLJ?" "Nah, sorry Mario, I have a headache, but here, have some cake." omgwut? I mean, awesome job, yes, obviously <3

After watching this, I felt depressed over my past relationships with sandwiches, and am now thinking I should move to Saskatchewan, where I could take up small engine repair, and engine repair. That said, yes vote because you got to the credits without finishing the game.

Positively fabulous, loved it. No-brainer yes, which means at some point there's inevitably going to be at least one frivolous no vote.

... However, since I personally detest savegame corruption as a technique (if a password were used to jump right to the end of the game, this would be rejected, but because it's achieved with savegame corruption, it becomes ok; I'm not sure I agree that there's such a relevant difference) I find it hard to vote "yes" on good conscience. It would feel like letting a criminal go based on a minute technicality. You know he's guilty, but you have to let him go because of the law.
Yeeeaah I kinda also feel like this is more or less a "grey-area" sort of technique in terms of legitimacy, but for a different reason; I think that a game's failure to atomically create a save - IMHO at least - is hardly a programming error, cuz the exceptionally rare real-time case in which the player accidentally resets during a 2-frame save process is so unlikely to happen, that it's probably not worth the programmer expending the effort to recognize and deal with that situation. THAT SAID, I vote yes simply because I think the result is totally awesome in this case. Chrono Trigger is my favorite run on the site, but also a major savegame corrupter. I consider it to be the ultimate example of the "whatever, it's awesome, <3" voting criterion, and I think that criterion deserves its fair share of weight.

I still think it might be a good idea to have a phase between submission & forum topic. Seems lately the admins have had to be squeezin their gats til da clips is empty. Just sayin.

Ultimately, I think the speed wins out and I would give this a yes.
What he said. It's not terribly long and the pace is plenty quick. Nice job Ilari, and props for the ultra-descriptive submission text. =)
