And I think we're up to about 20 pranks at this point. I think there should be a vote, and all pranksters who don't get enough votes are forced to have a barney the dinosaur avatar for a while, or something. Or we could all just eat some cheddar cheese together. Also has anyone found my grey hat yet? Edit: nevermind, I found my hat. DarkKobold was hiding it on some weird chinese web site. Also, I vote meh, because I've never voted meh before and wanted to know what it's like. Edit: I want to have the highest edit count ever, because. Edit: this is another edit in bold EDIT: don't look at this EDIT editedit!!Google Search: Google Search:
food
(edit: why is this edit bigger?)

I vote yes on what JXQ said. Ridicule isn't going to do anyone any good. As far as the run, I can't think of anything useful to say that hasn't already been said. Edit: That is, I agree with JXQ, and vote no on the run.

I love that mole. Very entertaining, and beats the published run with the help of a few new glitches, so an easy yes vote!

For what it's worth, a lot of submitted TASes get rejected. I think it's pretty rare for a new player's first attempts to be accepted. Sometimes even very experienced players get submissions rejected. I think your Wario TAS was moderately entertaining, so I'm sure you aren't far from getting published. Seek out a little guidance on the forums, and try again! =)

Good effort on your first try, but as people have noted, it is probably not a good game choice and at least has to be either faster or more interesting that the previous submissions. If you need help on TASing, you should start a new thread to ask your questions.
Yeah, I think this pretty much sums it up. Patryk1023, I too would encourage you to seek guidance with TAS creation from these guys on the forums and possibly IRC also. I look forward to seeing more from you someday.

"At least we get a turkey dinner!" "Marv, you turkey, shut up." The End. Almost voted yes just because of that. Sorry though, jlun2, i gotta go with bad game choice = no on this one. I don't think any amount of effort could possibly have extracted substantial entertainment value (the bizarre shirtless chef (??) battle (?!) made me smile though).

Awesome, obvious yes vote. Very creative and entertaining use of the "waiting" sections. Thanks for giving me a reason to listen to the game's awesome music. About Undie's encode though, did anyone else notice an A/V sync issue that becomes especially apparent after 30:00? I tried it in Totem and VLC, and in both it seems like the audio is at least a second ahead of the video.

I understand the reasons for the ban, and of course rules are rules, but I just think it's kind of sad, ya know? His past transgressions aside, he had apparently made some friends and contributed significantly to the site, and I know how I'd feel if I had done the same only to have it all suddenly invalidated. And about permanent banning - I think anyone can change. I've always loathed the whole concept of the "permanent" ban, in general.

I acknowledge that I'm relatively new and less active than most - and I didn't know mmarks - but personally, I strongly feel that in general, it's unfair to perma-ban someone without so much as a conversation unless the dude did something like setting the server rack on fire. I read the above posts, and based on those (as well as misc IRC chatter), it seems apparent to me that mmarks was an active member of the community, and generally liked. I just don't understand why he didn't even get a warning, like this guy did. EDIT: I've been informed that he was warned, my bad. Blah.

I find it extremely offensive that a fish was used to kill birdo in 5-2. As a fish myself, I cannot condone such brutality against other fish, despite the rocking awesomeness of the end product. Expect retaliation!!

TASes are not about what a game would look like if a very skilled person played it. They are about what it would look like if a god played it.
I too was getting the feeling that this could have been accomplished by an exceptionally skilled human; I've never played the game (or even heard of it), but in general it seems to me that this scrolling shoot-em-up sort of genre isn't terribly TAS-able, as it demands more innovation in conveying to the audience that it's not just a skilled play-through, e.g. Gradius. Voting no.

I agree with what most have already cited as the biggest problem with this game choice: it's an auto-scroller, and so a run of it really needs a lot of love, like bullet dancing & other death-defying feats. That said, it's clear to me that a fair amount of work went into making this, but as a non-player whose votes are almost entirely about the entertainment factor, I have to say no actually i'm gonna vote yes because, on second thought - all things considered - i do think it was reasonably entertaining (though i don't think my "yes" will make a difference... =^p ) (Edit) i don't know how to change my vote, so i guess it's stuck at "no"

I actually quite liked this despite the shortage of fatalities, especially the Goro fight. I was certainly entertained for all eight minutes by the clever and often comical combat, but that said, I don't know where this would fit on the site, as the current run is at least as entertaining. Thus, with hesitation, I vote no. EDIT: I *definitely* vote yes to gruefood delight.

I might be a little out of line for saying this, particularly given the differences in length between this movie and my example, but if this movie should be rejected due to being boring even with the luck manipulation, then shouldn't King's Bounty have been rejected too?
I think the difference is that the King's Bounty movie is really just a weird ending, whereas this movie is sort of the opposite, as it's a minute of weird gameplay followed by a non-ending. They're like two stanzas in a poem. I vote yes because I like poetry, and anyone who votes no is a smelly poetry-hater.
