Dolphin rc 5.0 is pretty broken using TAS it seems. Frame Advance is really messy. As holding down your hotkey doesn't toggle off frame advancing (like it does in Bizhawk). As well as save states crashing Dolphin when you are holding down controls and changing save states (inconvenience for TASers). I will continue to wait until either they fix some of these features, we will see.
And don't forget memory leak. That's why I sticked to older version. Dolphin became shit TAS wise (but not performance wise where they did a great job!) now :(

Not TASing, just to keep a topic of it. Loved this game as child, could make a great tas I think ;D

Hey, speaking of which, I know a way to skip a coin section at the low gravity room. It's possible to jump over the gate needing coins there as well.
Cool! It might be possible to skip level 2 too but I'm close and it'd be really really hard lol

Oh boooy, I had this game as kid, thought "What about glitching it?" I forgot how it was so I just played level 1 atm, and I found a skip which saves 45 seconds (maybe 1 minute) using a glitch. So here glitch I found. It's named Yotan because it involves Yoyo, basically there are some walls where if you spam jump and yoyo button, you can jump, and you can probably jump as much as you want, it's just really hard to do it multiple times. It can probably lead to huge skips! Btw, here's the skip, it basically skips getting the 20 coins and doing the boring rocket phase: Link to video

Really though, it's a minor bug in a great program. You and the other developers should be commended for bringing Dolphin such a long way since its inception.
I agree :D But, yeah my problem is: 1. Load a game 2. Make a savestate 3. Load it multiple times 4. Normally it should take more and more memory (it takes even more per savestate if you use cheat engine linked to dolphin)

Is there any way to get this to work on newer versions of Dolphin?
Try using this lua script made by yoshifan. I've used it and its pretty good.
I second this, tested it too. If you're talking zbout RAM watching on Cheat Engine itself without lua it's still working on last version :P

Is there PS2 TASing yet? I saw PS2 TASes from nicovideo - how are they made?
With PCSX2-rr. It's an old build of PCSX2 that desyncs a lot and as Warepire pointed out, is generally unfit for TASing unless you have "inhuman patience". You'll probably want to use the latest version of the regular PCSX2 if you're just testing things.
Yeah, i tested it once, that's a complete laggy thing lol

Thanks! The Rayman spazzing out for a second is just an effect they made for PSX version :P
