I hope this issue will be sorted out someday. This prevents from watching some important addresses for TASing. https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/issues/1097 Probably lsnes has no problem but UI was way too complicated to use for me and I really don't want to use that emu.

yes, compress your movie file with zip, not convert. btw, you shouldn't submit your run. It's over a minute slower than this run. (And English is slower for this game too) Use here instead if you're still willing to upload the run.

I made no major glitches (NMG) 100% TAS while ago. NMG prohibits keeping ufo glitch or stone glitch but any type of clipping glitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyRC2kn6D7w I'm not going to submit this because it's sub optimal compare to current existing runs. I just thought posting some complete run wouldn't hurt. But I actually managed to save time from this run in some places. Metaknights fight in 6-6 is most notable one.

Do you have a target time?
Not in particular but sub 1 on english would be great if possible. I feel onett skip and new winter cliff skip combined save around 9 minutes.

I watched whole run and I enjoyed. good job. Though, my first impression of your run was you were kinda following RTA route but I don't know if you intended or not. So some things can be cut in TAS. I'm listing where you lost time below. RNG manipulation You're using opening HP/SP window more often than our wip. Changing walking path and where you do window manip can reduce it. We don't get to test battles but I feel those can be better too. Onett Skip You seemed you were following pirohiko's RTA setup. With proper walking, you can still get correct #00 sprite with more shorter path. Additionally, you spawned enemies above trees instead below. So you lost around 1 second due to lags. Actually, our wip has done the skip on english and shorter path. Money Grinding You used twoson hotel. Using ATM is good but getting $50 from NPC was clearly huge time loss. (it cost 23 seconds) You could take following 2 possible route: 1. Get Hamburger after onett and sell it and Bat, buy less 1 skip sandwich. You'll need one small HP heal item in this route. 2. Get Baseball Cap and sell. You can skip hotel entirely in this route. But I don't know which route would be faster because our wip will use neither iirc. cliff zips in winters I have no experience with it but pirohiko said 1st cliff zip could be done around 4s (where you took 13s to get) and 2nd one could be faster too. I'm not going to mention about possible new route. pirohiko would know more. Edit: please ignore everything after onet skipt in our wip spike posted :p We plan to redo some day.

he's done stutter walk there apparently but I found he'd lost time here and there. I've been working on new run recently.

So the TAS does apparently miss the buzzbuzz cutscene stutter walk thing
Watching buzzbuzz cutscene in pokey's house (and in mountain one too) are mandatory in this run. Because Sound Stone is used to reload the map after stairs glitch. You won't get the stone if you skip his cutscene.

I'm thinking to improve http://tasvideos.org/6097S.html And I want to ask if this skip is still valid. https://youtu.be/iL7fWAiZGmg?t=6m41s This video shows starman skip.

Thanks, I really wanted to tas kirby 64 but I hated mupen :p I'm glad bizhawk works great for me.

Is it possible to maintain more slide-speed momentum after sliding off a ledge by doing a float and puff, in the same way as doing a float/puff after using Fire?
Puff just delays gaining failing speed. It's slower if kirby can't land on ground before his speed goes to less than 6 by using that.

I see you forgot to go back and hex the part I told you about puffing up and blowing air before hitting the ground from a big height to avoid the slower bounce in 3-2.
Yes, I pointed out that too after his movie was published. Actually, inhale or lift up is better than puff.

Thanks FractalFusion, I totally forgot linking my video to submission page. I'm going to do it :p
Maybe not the emulator is the reason. Can it possible, that the different Frame you enter the Stage is the reason? Because you say you saved 32 frames in an earlier Stage?
This might be possible. But I didn't see any spawn change when I improved FractalFusion's 3:53 because I had been using same emulator. So I will test it later.
Does the old man in the karaoke area only start to come out when the ladies are defeated? I thought he always took the same amount of time to enter the screen from when you start the song.
No, he will appear when takeshi keeps standing right of screen for a while. For some reason, he will appear even faster after beating 2 ladies.
was0x, do you have any interest in improving the low-glitch run on this game that goofydylan8 did?
I'd say no at this point. But my no glitch run is now improvable thanks to karaoke area. I will work on it if I feel like to.

I'm glad kirby isn't dead yet. I watched just 5-1 and I was wondering why you kept holding UFO. Because UFO can't go to down fast and you have to get rid of this ability at the beginning of 5-2. So I'm guessing ball or stone will be faster. Tornado might be good in 5-2 too.

Thanks for watching everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed. @Bobo the King I linked your TAS in movie description, isn't enough for you? ;) @Twisted Eye I've never seen that jump until his video :p I'm bad at finding tricks. About putting 100% for this, yes, it's totally arbitrary. There are many things can be done (Goomba Thumping in Pipe Vault, Puzzles in Sunken Ship for example). But I'd rather do them at once as another TAS but I don't know if I would do. I attempted improving last smithy fight and I saved 178 frames. Could mod replace current bk2 with this? http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/20868505895157435

I have absolutely no clue if someone wants to do ng+ tas but I made verification movie. This movie unlocked both Drumstick and TT. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/20776651340613891

I make new post instead of edit because this is big process. I reached Beans Valley. It's 10858 frames faster because of cutting a encounter and another way of farming frog coin mainly. I'm using ant in Land's end instead of Sky Troopa in this TAS. Using ant is about three times faster than Sky Troopa because main reason is ant has no text. (5 seconds vs 15 seconds to get 5 frog coins). Also, ant gives coins too, which allows me to use 800 coins star from shaman early. This makes Culex fight faster about 5 seconds.

looks good, I tried avoiding head bonking by inhaling in 4-4 clip but it lags so much. My idea was slower sadly. Also, you forgot doing keeping ufo glitch :p Normally, you can't bring ufo to other stages. So yeah, it's not glitchless run.

When I heard sketch glitch is useful in speedrun, I was wondering how ff6 would be. Great job :) I'll watch whole run after submission comes.

For Mario Kart Super Circuit, there have been a few TASes on Youtube, using "Banana Spin glitch" and without using it. I don't remember the person's name anymore, and the TASes have apparently vanished..

Any progress was0x?
I'm going to fight against Mack. I'm 767 frames ahead at this point. I'm not going to post WIP because route is same as before except less coins. I listed where I gained/lost frames below. +gain Using bizhawk (less lags overall) Using this trick (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpQpF8z5nXE) Good rng in battles Better movement in field -lost Bad rng in chasing Croco section Laggier in Mack's room Edit 1: I'm at the beginning of mine cart ride now. I'm 1676 frames ahead. I'm planning to edit this post when I reach to 4th star piece next time.
