I never played this game, so this might sound noob, but if this is "Execute Arbitrary Code" why does it still beat the bosses instead of skipping to the end?
That category seems a little loose; in the Legend of Zelda (NES), naming Link a certain way makes you skip directly to the second quest
I think "DeeJ%" or just "DeeJ" would be a better name.
Categories are meant to be wide and repeatable. I used what was the closest

In addition to the money glitch that's easy to do on an emulator (see preceding post), it also involves glitching the game so that your teammates have weapons like the moondrop (2 attacks in a row). However it involves RAM watch, and said video (around 3:30) doesn't make it very on how it actually works. Can anybody help me?

I would compare it to the Legend of Zelda (NES), where you can start the 2nd quest with the right name

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H5dkc-0tMk A new money glitch has been found. I will definitely give it a try; since magic takes too much time it will definitely be worth it against Terrapin and other monsters before Ryu can use his dragon powers

I can confirm that it works; DeeJ puts me right before Scande at level 29... with no dragon spell and everyone's initial equipment. Back to the drawing board...

I'm willing to give it a try. On which emulator was it done? Or it doesn't matter?

can't it be edited? Besides, originally it was just "blast from the past"

Now 8536 frames ahead of the previous 100% run. New frame-saving trick: you DON'T have to go back to the requester of the guild mission to trigger the end of the mission. It saved quite a bit for the Silver Soldier and Fissure of Fear. And I also improved the fights

only if one still hasn't attacked. But since it can carry over to the next round, being quick enough keeps it from happening

is it? I'm always using the same macro... It was easier to implement in the 100% run since I needed more people to die

Since I improved the any% run so much, might as well work on the 100% one. I'm applying all the right techniques, AND XE-A-THOUL ONLY ATTACKED!!! WOOHOO!!

Saved a few frames against Dark Forces. Now 435 frames ahead of last test run

While I couldn't replicate that one-in-a-billion, attack-only xe-a-thoul, I gained most of it back on Lashiec. Now about 340 frames ahead of previous test run

Back to DF I. You won't believe what I pulled out from Gy-Laguiah... Now 364 frames ahead of the test run

Not only have I (almost) maintained that 304 frames edge, but Rika is so strong (she was alive for all fights) that she withstood Forceslash, the attack that uses the fewest frames

I cancelled the run because I just found a HUGE time saver: killing a pair of merging zol slug (meta slug). This way, I can complete the fight in a single round AND Chaz is still at level 4. Plus I can buy that extra telepipe in Tonoe EDIT: Indeed. I just saved 304 frames when entering Zio's Fort. So I'm still ahead of the original run

Should I ever do an original run again, I will switch to Bizhawk since it seems to be the norm. But for reruns - unless they become obsolete - I will use the one I used before

BUt then how can I know how much faster/slower I am if I compare Gens 11a with Bizhawk?

Besides, I wanted to compare apples with apples. Bizhawk has so much lag that it ended up being significantly slower

It must me somehow linked to the C key I press, because I don't actively press it

That delay would have been longer, since in the regular run I don't sleep in Kadary (I only stop by to warp later)

Yes, the NET loss was 170 frames, but since I had saved 1360 after Igglanova, that truly equals 1530

It's all done now. Final saving: 3306 frames. Sadly, I still need to experiment. At the entrance to the Tower of Zio, I lost nearly 1600 frames catching up Chaz' levels. There IS hope, with the newts in the cave to Tonoe; this way I won't have to use the inn in Kadary

I found the solution! I had to wait one frame before escaping the strength tower too... Updates by tomorrow, hopefully
