http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1513314964/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I defeated the first boss about 11k frames ahead. I got the dark sword first, I fought 10 fewer battles (and yet at level 4!) and didn't use any herb

Ultra strength could work, but I would need like 5 minutes of gameplay to roll over my stats. I will probably not do it. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1319297833/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I restarted. I'm in the second town nearly 1900 frames earlier and have one fewer battle.

I guess. When doing the super strength trick, it first rises to 2755 and drops to 1500 at level up. I will have to try to make it ultra strength.

actually, it says to reach level 31 for the effect to be permanent. So I guess I can do the tricks with Raphael's stick (or maybe at a church, if it's too much of a detour), it would just be long and repetitive

most FAQs I saw say I need level 31... I can try (it's only a test run), but re-activating super strength would probably be the ebst bet

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1917183731/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I was able to skip 3 towns! However, super strength is starting to lose its edge...I wonder if I will be able to get to level 31 in order to do ultra strength (7000 strength) and invincibility

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1255853224/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I do need to see the doctor's action; I might try deathwarpping back to stow by saving at the church (but then, I would need to save everywhere...)

it was my main source of information, thanks. So I will look into getting the spell.. I will also try the one hushing monsters; the ruby brooch (which I can get in the area) isn't worth much

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/842882211/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv about to go back to Stow to confirm that the doctor healed the people (I need that in order to advance). I will need at least 2 gnome stones, and probably no griffin wing (I thought I could select my village...) Maybe a death warp back to Keltwick?

1) yes. You will notice I level up after escaping Kobolds en route to Parma 2) encounter seems to be related to how many enemies I kill. It looks even more hellish than Paladin's Quest 3) I equip the sword/heal the curse 3 times, and for some reason my strength rolls over. After the 3rd time, I can equip the bronze sword and get 2755 strength. At the next level up, it goes down (and stays) at 1500 and increases as I equip different swords (I doubt I will). I can basically defeat any regular enemy with one hit, and bosses very quickly (let's see how the little girl in Keltwick stands it)

It might be possible, but they are much stronger (and I suck at level 1). I will have to try

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1405989726/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv Yup, I was able to skip (for now at least) the elderly village. The death warp and super strength are very practical. I will check on rerun if I need to stop by deeptale to get the truffles (I needed to stop in Parma to get the treasure)

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1200501632/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I was FINALLY able to conquer the 1st boss, after a lot of calculations and estimations. If my feelings are right, I might be able to skip the next quest as I have no ring to get. And at 1500 strength (next time I level up), I should be OK

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1508158439/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv A (very sloppy) test run up to the first boss (fast-forward it to make it more tolerable). So it IS possible to be at low level (3 for me) and get to the dark sword alive. I just need to calculate how much money I need (by considering the death warp too) so I only fight the necessary monsters

first battle mechanics found: how many foes you kill in a battle determines when is the next battle and which enemies will be there. I can just manage to get the dark sword...

I might consider it if I get enough kims to buy it, but it wasn't the plan. I know it's not appealing, but DQ 1 did it in the dark too.

A classic action RPG, where you must collect rings and kill the bad guy who killed yo' papa. Quite early in the game, there is a way to increase dramatically your strength with a Dark Sword glitch, which puts your strength at 1500 http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/70305115/Sword%20of%20Vermilion.gmv I'm right after the first cave. So far, I haven't found a way to avoid/delay fights, other than walking inside towns - I haven't found the battle RAM yet

http://wikisend.com/download/566256/grandia_(disc_1).pjm ganymede was a huge challenge, but was doable. I will probably not need that many weapons, but fire magic is a definite big plus.

http://wikisend.com/download/135734/grandia_(disc_1).pjm Master Chang was quite a challenge, but I was able to overcome him. In the future, I will need to see if I need that much magic and mana eggs (for one thing, I doubt I will need water/heal)

does anyone know a good free website for file sharing? My movies are already over 10 Mb... After an insane number of retries, I was able to beat the squid in the ghost ship.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/921647612/grandia_%28disc_1%29.pjm out of Leck Mines. I will see on the rerun of getting more grenades (2 more are possible) is a time saver. And I will probably need that money from my house

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/81591345/grandia_%28disc_1%29.pjm Just got out of sult ruins. I will certainly need to improve the rock bird fight, but I was able to keep it at bay so he wouldn't use his special attacks (which take much more time). For the rest, the walking seems optimal. Damage seems to be pre-determined, although which frame the action is taken determines what the enemy does

Another game I liked I'm TASing! Althought the controls seem imprecise, going around is easy. I was able to get through Marna Road without a fight. It's like Earthbound; enemies only bother you if you come around them (except bosses). Plus, you can restore your health at save points. I'll publish an update when I get out of Sart Ruins
