Please don't violate the forum rules here. I am not bad at googling at all :P (Well, despite cloning other copyright games, these two game themselves are labeled as "free for downloading", and I haven't found "directly ripped things" in them. However the forum rules simply forbide the ROM link.) Actually I've once written some Castlevania homebrew walkthrough. But I don't think I can handle bad Castlevania-clone games any more. EDIT: I only tried the "SotN" one with another emulator, KEmulator Lite v0.9.8, which emulates sound well. However, the BGM mutes if I go into the menu screen util you re-enter a level. I didn't have any problem until the level with a wolf (?) boss when the game suddenly froze. It came back working after loading the saved game. What's your problem in the 3rd level?

I think it's an acceptable presentational edit though. I did the similar here three years ago and nobody has complained so far.
I will then.

I can't download the video from mediafire as it always disconnects for me at 25% completion or so. Would anyone please do me a favour of uploading it somewhere else like rapidshare, and send me the link? EDIT: Slow but stable. Good move, Catastrophe ;)

EDIT: There seem to be extra lags in games with DeSmuME. Are they caused by something similar to this problem? @moozooh: You're welcome. Glad to know the "solution" worked.

@moozooh: The movie problem sounds like caused by an MBC path. Make sure the emulator, the ROM and the movie's paths (including their filenames) don't contain any non-ASCII characters.

That would be boring to the audience. Refused.

ljffdb2 & I shall officially be instead working on the border-suspend-glitch-less run from now on, although we started the border-suspend-glitched run as soon as adelikat submitted his NSMB run. However, still be aware: You seem to be restarting your run too many times. We demand that you should settle it down this time, or we may become impatient and return to our own SG run to start the war. [/not really an ultimatum :P]

According to various reports and my tests, FCEUX doesn't support paths containing MBCs (Multibyte Characters). When file operation fails due to this issue, no error message will be given. So it's very confusing and difficult to diagnose for the user. This issue doesn't exist in FCEU 0.98.xx.

You can find FCEUX 2.0.0 here.

This game isn't very broken. I thought the lack of exploits in this game meant that people just hadn't had enough time to discover them yet. But after trying really hard to find them with frame advance, I think this game is actually very solid. The programmers have tried their absolute hardest to keep me from going OOB. And for the first time since SoTN, they've succeeded. No more leaving the map, zipping through null space, altering memory, and popping into Dracula's Castle with all the souls/glyphs/whatever and 247% map.
FYI, you can: * glitch your STR to take advantage * glitch your sprite (just for fun) * glitch enemies/familiars to zip through walls (just for fun) * zip through a wall (no idea if there're more) * get OoB for a while, though you'll be back forcibly very soon (they indeed made it) * etc.

Just start NG+ and test it... I don't have any cheat codes for luck manipulation. You may find some that increase LCK or decrease rarity though.

You seem to have forgotten something. Go figure :) As to Final Sword: Damage to Dracula with Final Sword = (ATK-22)*53/64. You won't do more than 19 dmg to him at such a low level. You can deal slightly more to Death, though. BTW, any dark weapon will only do 1 dmg unless you level up a lot.

0.0.9 will simply crash as soon as you cancel opening an ISO if you're using the TAS ISO-plugin without specifying the image file in its settings, which I find funny (it's brokenness!) :p

So if anyone can suggest a way to encourage non-TASers to TAS, without displaying pictures of boobs on-site or promising financial gain (for the slightly older audience), that would be great.
So quickly animated images can be better than static ones as encouragement. Good idea.

I guess he was using the SCPH1001 BIOS while you are using the SCPH7502 one, and that's the cause of desync with 0.0.8.

My idea for J/Y/A mode runs: Get the Soma's bad ending as fast as possible with whatever glitches, and then start the team run. So Soma is punished for corrupting the game, while we don't need to start from a predefined SRAM that would be hard to verify and is currently impossible.
