    Castlevania
    Alice
    Bloodrayne
    God of War
    Hitman
    Max Payne
    Postal
    RE4
    RE:Extinction
    Soul Calibur
    Spy Hunter
    Splinter Cell
    The Suffering
Which movie are YOU guys going to watch when they come out this year!? I'm going for Castlevania, maybe the two RE movies, and God of War. I'm worried about Soul Calibur because.. well, we all know how the DoA movie turned out. For those that ask themselves, "DoA movie...?", you're right! :P The FPS ones like Max Payne and Splinter Cell might be interesting too, but FPS movies tend to make me go :( like Doom ;-;

What's the new problem of the DST? ... and furthermore, why would you want to lock this thread? It would benefit others.

Bouncing against uphill slopes are slow, my suggestion is to either slap it up, or just roll it up. Bouncing pushes you backwards and given the decrease in speed when it's up in the air (that's why turbo slapping is relatively fast), you'd be better off rolling it or slapping it. .... AND STOP TAKING MY WORDS OUT OF CONTEXT </fume>

Now THAT would be useful.. wonder if we can throw in any luck manipulation.. Edit: Watched it.. very interesting to say the least. Did you take any damage at all, because it looked like you would "bounce back" from impact.. then again, you could've just went back. Can you control/stop the rotation that he does?

I'm speaking English. This game game is Fallout the Interplay. When did you complete the Fallout Comic?
..... *snickers* So is this based off Fallout or Fallout2? Or both? Ah, fun game. I remember when they built up a village somewhere in Oregon.. good stuff.

If it's not tool-assisted speedrunning, I think the people at SDA and maybe Burning Death should be nominated instead.. >.< Unless someone here that's from Germany is also a console speedrunner and/or WR holder for a game o.o

2 players? How would that work? On an unrelated (but fairly important) sidenote: Dammit Spider-Waffle, when is that AVI for Half-Hour Half Life going to be released? :(

A few points to address and some things I noticed: The scoring system also allows a change from lock-on to manual aiming. I wanted to test out if you could "glitch" lock-on aiming to quickly point to something else and then switch back to manual to fire. Not sure if that can be done. Bosses have minions, but if left alone they will go off stage, and the same applies to the boss. If you do not kill it in a certain period of time, it can fly off. The sword you mention is also capable of deflecting projectiles that can be reflected/hit back to the enemies for extra points/damage. How much, I do not know. Good luck to anyone who tries this project. It isn't very hard, but to make it look good is another thing.

Just out of curiousity, why is the AK used up every time? Does it cause significant amounts of lag (I would expect that shooting it off would also cause lag o.O) In any case, that was a nice run. =) So Goldeneye doesn't actually require much killing (thus the arm/limb shots?) Speaking of which, do arm/limb shots do anything in particular? Stun them maybe or make them drop something? Keep up the good work, otsu~

Alz's sound codec is pretty good too, though I use the WIP1. But yeah, sound codecs are really game-dependent.

Actually, I shouldn't be proud of this at all... Is one allowed to nominate one's self for an award? If so.. Slowest TASer to (hopefully) finish a TAS: Me! :D With the actual start of the run right when I joined to now, it's almost been a year! And I've only got 1 and a half levels done, and am currently redoing all of it. =] So I'm not surprised if this game takes me like.. 3 years. Literally. Edit: I also thank everyone for nominating me as the village idiot with my emoticons, my weird/loud side-pesonality, and me being a girl..?

Voted yes. Not sure what the big problem is since it's only 8 minutes long so it can't be THAT repetitive (which I feel it isn't), but the game itself can't really have "variety" which other people are asking for. But, for the sake of argument, let's say the next run will have variety. How much variety? A game like SSB has KOs through knocking them out of the "arena" rather than depleting a finite life bar (similar to MK or KI). So while a variety of moves can be done in MK to demonstrate how cool it looks (whilst not going for time), it continues to stay entertaining because the enemy dies in several hits because their life bar is limited AND they don't have monster health. To do that in SSB is significantly harder because you can rack up to 999% (a regular attack from Kirby is anywhere from 1-5% damage) and continue to damage them without actually killing them or knocking them out of the arena. When do we draw the line of staying entertaining and having variety and LOLITBORING? So with that said, having this run as a score/speed run is fine until someone can think of a better idea that won't be boring, "slow", or both.

First level is almost done. So far, the only aim is 100% kills with a combination of the sword/gun. I wanted to aim for high score, but that means I'd have to painstakingly calculate every single hit and that might not make it as diverse/interesting looking as it could be. Anyone want to suggest or see anything done in this run in particular?

I'm still having desync problems on the second level, but the first level looks great so I'm voting yes for now. ^^
