Regardless if you feel you did a great job or not, this site certainly strives for the HIGHEST quality movies. Our judges are extremely versed in optimization and have the final say. I have experienced this myself. I would encourage you to take heed to others on the thread, as they are only mentioning points that will certainly lead to more productive TASing is the future.
If you would like a small TAS to look at that shows incredible work, check out:

Notice the "re-record" count. This did not come by easily or in a short amount of time. Plus, the artist did a lot of work to cut around 6 seconds of work. For other games, we have users who are fighting to find 1 frame.
I haven't made perfect submissions, but it should look like you have given enough effort to prove the run can't be beaten. Stating that it was done in two hours is not a positive point. One of Tompa's TASes was 10 years in the making. For Sniq, his work has come from multiple years of figuring out better optimizations throughout all Super Metroid TASes. Aside from visual inspections, tools such as Ram Wach and lua scripting were used to help Sniq better the movies he has written.
If it does get accepted...you take the chance of increasing the visibility of your submission and creating a challenge for others to obsolete yours.
