I didn't know submitting verification movie rule. If it is needed, I'll try to make this again. But, I'm going to use TAS movie editor so if it caused desync, I would give up submitting this movie.

However, I'm pretty surprised how much shorter this is than the recently published run. How much time was saved due to skipping cutscenes?
This is not Story Mode, so there are no cutscene. And character's speed is about twice previous run's.

The reason for using Goblin and Black Magician is they have advantage of speed. Instead they have disadvantage of handling. But it is no problem in TAS. Because if you can push button quickly, you would be able to get great cornering performance.

Most of the action looked very well optimized. I was only wondering about the very last race. Isn't it possible to do some more luck manipulation so that you don't stop twice in the last race (at positions 12:40 and 13:28 in the second part)?
I edited submission text. Please read explanation of "Takes damage to save time".

I made this game TAS only stage 1 before. I gave up making because of desync of uncertain cause. video: http://2.syawa.net/nicotter/watch/sm12243085 This run aims for only fastest time with using Endymion FRS MK. II. The reason to use Endymion FRS MK. II is I wanted to brandish the arm. Probably, using Astraea FGA MK. might be faster. In boss battle, it might be fast to use Riot. But it lose a little time for getting Riot. By the way, number of Gunpods bullets are different between (U) and (J). For example, in (U) version Valcan's ballets are 500 whereas in (J) its 400. In the same way, Cannon's bullets are 30 or 15.

I had started making this TAS because I had thought that no one was making it. So I stop making this and I'm going to make other game's TAS. I like Japanese version X's voice more than USA version, too.

I've started making this game's TAS using "X". I've already done intro stage. movie file: http://winback.web.fc2.com/mmx4tas/1.pxm But, I am distressed. In what order should I go to the stage, and which upgrade parts should I collect? If anyone has an any idea, please tell me.

Sorry, it seemed to cause misunderstanding, it isn't death move. That's just case of failure.

I presume the any% Wily stages will be near identical to the 100% then?
Yes. Unless I find new shortcut. So I'm tired of making it again.

1: I'm fairly certain it's faster to kill bosses in the center of the screen, as the 'victory' sequence doesn't begin until the death animation disappears entirely. Maybe I'm wrong or it wasn't possible to do without losing frames. 2: You can hit the ice boss with the junk shield or whatever (come on, like any of you remember all the names of the identical bosses) before the battle starts, and I *think* it damages his life bar. This one I'm much less certain of.
1: Death animation's position doesn't affect time. 2: Preemptive attack by junk shield is entertaining. But, it can't damage boss life. And sad to say, it makes time loss 10 frames more because battle start will be delayed. So I can't use the trick.

Does anyone calculate saved frames from a published run level by level?

OK! I've already started making new any% TAS by (U) ROM. I'm going to decide route: Cloud -> Junk -> Freeze -> Burst -> Shade -> Turbo -> Slash -> Spring. I think that Spring can move anywhere after Shade, probably. Of course, I'm going to use instant kill by Noise Crush!

Thank you for like my TAS video (http://tasvideos.org/2671S.html)! By the way, if I would make MM7's TAS video any% or 100% again, should I use ROM (J) or (U)? The rule says that:
If there already is a published video, do not use a different ROM than what it uses, unless the new ROM is obviously better, and you can show how it should be compared to the existing movie.

Probably, it is faster than that previously goes to ShadeMan before SpringMan stage. But I didn't know instant-kill by using Crush Noise... Fortunately, Super Rockman's Super Rocket Punch 4 damages Shademan. Other special weapon can damage only 1.
