Wait, a screenplay? It was written more like a paperback thriller in my opinion (not that it's bad or anything). Yes there are action sequences, but a lot of the time is spent on character, and the pacing's a bit uneven for a movie as well. Imagine staging an all-out wizard fight on the scale of the last battle in Book 7. Nobody would know what was going on when, it would be a total mess like this runon sentence! Also I doubt any screenplay could have such huge chunks of exposition without boring us ADD filmgoers. Not to mention two of the key plot points are revealed IN THOUGHT. Seriously. **SPOILER**I'm referring to the location of the last Horcrux (Hogwarts) and the room it's in (a sudden realization that it's the Room of Requirement)**Spoiler end** Looking back on it, most of the big "plot holes" could be interpreted as genuine mistakes by characters, like how Voldemort thinks he's found the RoR for the first time when there obviously would have been stuff under the "I need to hide something" trigger. Sheesh, is he really that thick?

Nitsuja? TASing again??? I'm gonna wait for the AVI on this one (with Japanese music), but I expect no less than greatness from God/nitsuja.

Control. Alt. DESTROYED. Amazing work, CAD, and a great swan song for this broken game. Highly entertaining, great new glitches, the works! Yes vote.

Before watching this run, I had no idea that there were Metroids made entirely of garbled tiles and letters. Yes vote without a doubt.

In terms of games I'd have to say Resident Evil 0, the main gameplay concept had clearly run it's course and new systems that were added made the game less playable. Thankfully it had the greatest comeback of all time in the name of Resident Evil 4.
I loved Resident Evil 4, and I'm glad the majority of people forgave the deviance from the traditional system, and even went so far to embrace and accept it. You don't see that very often. SUCH a good game.
I totally agree. Resident Evil 4 is probably the BEST sequel of all time.

Agreed. But swarmed by naysayers, we are silent. Yeah, I know I just broke the Deathly Hallows oath, but I blame Fabian.

Not as bad as Star Fox Adventures. In that game, the shmup segments were excellent but painfully short and between BORING Zelda-clone dungeons. Snore.

Post subject: Your personal most disappointing not-Harry-Potter sequel

Let me make ONE THING clear: any Harry Potter 7 love/hate discussion will not be tolerated. To all Deathly Hallows lovers/haters: shut up. Just keep your debates AWAY from this. I think there's an old thread I started way back when the book was first released; if you want to, bump it and garble on to your heart's content (Yeah, I'm being a hypocrite, but in this thread alone I'll change my ways). Anyway, what was the most disappointing sequel you've ever experienced in any medium (books, games, movies, TV seasons, second music albums etc.)? For me, there are a few. Starting with some obvious ones: Devil May Cry 2 and The End (Book 13 of "A Series of Unfortunate Events") come to mind. Here are two others which I'm not so sure if you know. First off is HAMISH X GOES TO PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND by Seán Cullen. I'm sure that most of you haven't heard of the series, so it basically goes like this. Hamish X is this robot kid sent by the Orphan Disposal Agency to monitor various companies who are using the orphans as cheap labour, but Hamish turns rogue and starts rescuing kids, and - oh screw this, the storyline's stupid and if I didn't know any better I would have thought Hideo Kojima ghostwrote it. But the thing is, the Hamish X series has always had that balance between serious and silly storytelling, combining Douglas Adams' total randomness and Lemony Snicket's black comedy. HAMISH X AND THE CHEESE PIRATES and HAMISH X AND THE HOLLOW MOUNTAIN were great. But having read through half of the third book so far, it's much more inconsistent. There are flashes of brilliance but mostly it's just dull, with a mediocre plot and uninspired humour. I am, however, still holding out hope. Another that comes to mind is FOLKLORE, Nelly Furtado's second album. I don't know why, but it didn't seem to have nearly the same amount of imagination, care or spirit that WHOA! NELLY did. Maybe it's just me. Soooo...what was YOUR biggest sequel disappointment? Spit it out! Or else I'll count this thread as a personal disappointment...:(

For those who don't know, I'm in Israel at the moment, but since the trip is winding down I decided to sit down and write about Guns of the Patriots. Now, I haven't played the game myself, but thanks to the magic of YouTube I've seen pretty much everything the game has to offer. I've noticed some people were disappointed with MGS4's story because it retconned a lot of stuff. I don't agree with the "a lot of stuff" part, but I'm curious about the whole subplot surrounding the bodies of Big Boss and Solidus Snake. - If we're to believe that all of Metal Gear 2 was retconned, it might make sense, because Big Boss' body was supposedly burned by that makeshift flamethrower Snake used. How does Raiden manage to find BB's body, and how was Naomi able to sustain him? - BB claims his body was reconstructed through parts of Liquid and Solidus, but Solidus' body had just been burned up in Europe and I don't think Ocelot would have wanted Liquid around after he stole his arm. What's up with that? I'm too tired at the moment to write more, but maybe we might be able to analyze this incredibly crazy story once and for all.

The site needs more runs like this. No game-breaking glitches or hard-to-understand paths, just pure, balls-out, really REALLY fast action. This was a great category choice; Maxim's moves make for an extremely entertaining run without that stupid 30-second movie glitch. At TASvideos, we strive for entertainment through speed. This movie is entertaining, and it's also fast. I am very happy to vote yes on this. Well done!

Epona Karaoke: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=EGzchX1aHL8 (not mine) I made lyrics for the end credits of Sonic 1 (up until the Scrap Brain verse). It is the sad tale of a Sonic fan who must accept both the good and bad of the franchise: Sonic the Hedgehog: Tales of a Frustrated Fanboy Sonic is a hedgehog Who has gained a reputation As the fastest dude on Genesis. His nemesis is Dr. Eggman. Knuckles, Tails and Amy Are his friends (Though Amy wants much more), And they all fight together To defeat the Evil Robotnik once more! Sonic has special powers. He turns enemies to flowers. Knuckles can punch and glide But Tails, he just makes me want to Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide! Over “hide!” (Sonic is a hedgehog Who has gained a reputation As the fastest dude on Genesis. His nemesis is Dr. Eggman.) (Labyrinth) But constant retconning Enemies respawning The treasure hunting and Poor camera angling Don’t really help. (Marble) Is there any point? This just sucks, Every time, handing 60 bucks To Sonic Team. For games bereft Of quality. (Star Light) What should I do? Should I boycott or hope that they Will one day Make a game That is worthy of Sonic’s name? (To be honest, I wouldn’t dream on Unleashed looks wrong!) (Scrap Brain) Where are all the old developers Now? Playing WoW. Oh how Did Sonic go from bad-ass mascot To Sega’s cash cow?

It's one thing to find out someone exists who shares your name, especially if it's rare - it's another thing altogether to find a picture of them! So I was randomly searching Google for my name (I do that sometimes) and I accidentally hit Google Images. And this guy pops up: What. The Fuck. This was weird, because I was under the impression that the only guy I shared my name with had died 111 years ago. So apparently I ALSO share my name with a black kid from Vancouver. Anyone else have actual pictures of their doppelganger?
