Let's not forget the SB1 improvements as well...could it make enough of a difference?

Thorn: I have three or four versions of S1K (including the more recent one) and it desynchs on all of them.

These retarded baby seals cause up to about 30-40 frames of lag after you defeat Robotnik. Out of Interest JXQ, is that improvement on GH3 just a reduced lag after the animals leave the screen, is it any faster than my version.
So how do you control the seal lag?

Thanks AKA it helps. Guano - hope it works out... I'll test it too. theenglishman - uuugh... we would go fight ganon and then not be able to kill him since we can't use arrows w/out a bow because we have no quiver and can thusly hold no arrows. This was tested in gerudo training ground I believe when they grabbed early ice arrows before having the bow.
So you can grab the bow and some arrows from the Forest Temple, killwarp and go straight to Ganon's Castle (after getting the hover boots obviously)...and you still need Bottle Adventure...how is it necessary? EDIT: Yeah, the explanation last time in Guano's comments was bleak at best for those who were watching OOT speedrunned for the first time...and JXQ's commentary, while hilarious, was uninformative (sorry :( )... maybe Guano should do the commentary track this time round explaining everything he couldn't in the submission comments?

Just out of interest...what would happen if you were to perform the Ganon Early glitch immediately after getting the hover boots and without doing BA?

Wow...what happened there with FB2's miniboss? I actually LIKED the bonus stages. There's enough backwalking there to make Link blush XD. But I loved the whole run. Definite yes vote + star.

No way, these titles aren't nearly clever enough. You didn't even put "Blows" on the Ocarina of Time title! An Ocarina is a musical instrument that you blow! Missed opportunties, my good man.

Very funny. Are you going to follow this up with "Ocarina of Time Sucks Ass" and "Chrono Trigger Blows Bad"? Why not sarcastically attack each and every game the gaming world considers a classic?

I know I'm being a prick again, but...what's the route for the Forest Temple? Are we using bomb hovers? Are the Poe paintings and the rotating room skippable? Someone should really write down the whole route, complete with tricks and skippable elements (like an advanced version of what mwl wrote).

Yeah, TSA slamming Guano for his run was pretty pathetic. It would be like Dragorn slamming FODA for wasting two seconds to make a funny "Stario" image. In conclusion, I think we can all agree that TSA the (wo)man is an arrogant prick, and TSA the speedrunner is great to godly, depending on who you ask. Now can someone move this discussion to another topic and LOCK IT?!?!

TSA is an arrogant attention whore and the fact that people are signing up on websites to defend his "honor" when he is talked down about just shows that he's definitely got attention. I don't care how many boring ass Zelda speedruns he's done; his attitude stops him from getting any respect from me.
Think, JXQ! How many pro athletes, movie stars and so on have egos the size of Texas? Who cares if TSA brags like an asshole about getting Twilight Princess two weeks early? I agree that TSA is not the best person to talk to for a modest, neutral conversation, but for God's sake don't shun him for an inflated ego. Look at Muhmammad Ali. A legendary fighter who was a cocky, arrogant bastard, but boy could he fight! If you need to flame TSA, please do NOT link his ego with his speedrunning abilities. It's just unfortunate that TSA happens to have an inflated head, or else he would be respected as a deity!

http://tas.monotoli.org/mov/oot/wip/lozoot-guanobowl-wiptas2-child.mkv the sync is pretty terrible but whatever. ~170MB, all the way from N64 logo to taking control as an adult. I ended up using 240 bitrate at 464x352
I can try to sync up the audio and put it into WMV format if you want. It's a matter of using Windows Movie Maker, it shouldn't be that hard... And Guano, nice run so far ;)

It would be cool to show off the passing-through-the-floor glitch when you drop down from the chain!
You can do that when entering the Forest Temple.
But doing it in Hyrule wouldn't be as much out of the way assuming Guano goes for the 20 rupees there...

about the manipulating rupee drops to have 10, why didn't you just get 20 on your way into hyrule castle? I'm sure side hopping up the chain and jumping down couldn't waste that much time...

Sounds okay to me, except that U+D doesn't do anything but activate the ladder glitch. And what exactly is sprite overload?
Loading up the processing power of the NES so certain sprites don't load, like that bug right at the beginning that should be there but isn't. Also, to answer BOMF's question: why not? The IMDB page is here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0213377/ so we can add "Based on a shitty 1990's cartoon" with a link to the IMDB page.

A potential description for the game: To start, we should use an excerpt of CAD's submission quote and elaborate from there: "This game is a crappy NES platformer about a purple alien shape-shifter named Widget who wishes he was Mega Man. Luckily he has the power to completely ignore any and all existing laws of physics. The run abuses a ton of bugs, including sprite overload, iffy collision detection and a hit-box-warping glitch which occurs when Left/Right or Up/Down are pressed at the same time. This is the third run attempt of this game, the second to be accepted and the first to be published."
