EDIT: Check out "Obsoletely Fabulous" for a list of such runs: http://tasvideos.org/Movies/ObsoletelyFabulous.html The 21 minute old chrono trigger glitched TAS really deserves to be in gruefood delight ( http://tasvideos.org/1285M.html ), but I'm not sure where you'd put it. Maybe a new category: 'Obsoleted movies with higher entertainment than their obsoletions'? You could even run such a script to see if there are any other such movies.

Well...the problem with that is that the purpose of Gruefood Delight is to showcase movies that were submitted but not published for various reasons. It's a good idea, but it would need its own page to separate it from the movies that haven't ever been published. Something like "Obsoleted Delight", maybe?

"Obsolete Delight"?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

You're already splitting it by tab, you could just add a new tab.

Heartily agree with Earthbound; I think that movie has a way more entertaining ending than the current publication. Surprised nobody has mentioned [2187] GBC Pokémon: Yellow Version "arbitrary code execution" by bortreb in 12:51.87 yet. I think it would fit this page like a glove.

I split this from the Gruefood Delight discussion because I think it'd have more merit on its own. Note that obsoleted movies are ineligible for Gruefood Delight by definition as they are not Gruefood. I think something like Obsolete Delight is interesting enough to have its own section/page, however.

"Obsoletely Fabulous"
I make a comic with no image files and you should read it. While there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free. -Eugene Debs

It took me a few seconds to get that reference. I like it, but it might be lost on the international audience.

There are people in America who know what Ab Fab is. It aired on Comedy Central , I think.

I remembered that I already made a (small) section like this: Golden Oldies I like my new name way better, though I'm still not completely satisfied with it. Feel free to throw out some other suggestions. PS is it obvious that Gruefood Delight is a reference to Turkish Delight? That was my intent. Also, I apparently plagiarized the name of a Futurama episode for Obsoletely Fabulous. Which is interesting because I just got through (re-)watching that show on Netflix last night. But I don't remember the name of that or any of the other episode (ok, except for Jurassic Bark because I refuse to watch that episode again).

Be ready to put http://tasvideos.org/2504M.html (Pokemon Gold any% map distortion route by bobmario) on such a list whenever it gets obsoleted by a coin case arbitrary execution glitched route (which it will, and which won't be as colour-spasmaglorious)

So that makes it two countries out of about 200 whose inhabitants would get the joke. That doesn't make it bad though - not everyone has to get the joke.

I always thought of the instant dessert Angel Delight, but that's probably just because it formed an unhealthy proportion of my childhood.

I thought it was just a pun and nothing more.

This thread makes me realise how few obsoleted movies I have actually watched.

I have begun work on this new page. I went with Alden's name Obsoletely Fabulous, but if someone comes up with something better I will change it.

I would rather choose Obsolete Delight, as it keeps consistency with Gruefood Delight. But that's just a name… EDIT : fixed typo.

It's Obsolete, not Obsoleted.

Ah. I have realised that renaming pages can only be done by vested editors and above. If I had realised this sooner, I would have waited until we could agree on a name. Sorry. If people really want the name to be changed, I could ask CoolKirby or someone... PS: link so people can give feedback on how the page is coming along. Do the descriptions need to be shorter or less spoiler-y?

Nice! Looks good so far. The descriptions are very nice - they entice the reader to watch. I'm sorry but I really don't like "Obsolete Delight" as a name. It's a real mouthful, and doesn't scan the same as Turkish (or even Angel) Delight, plus "Obsolete" isn't a food word. As far as "consistency" goes, I think the whole point of this and GD is a little bit of inconsistency. They're movies that aren't on the site, yet with this page suddenly they are, kind of. Plus if we really wanted to go full tasvideos pedantic, we should call them "Some Rejected Movies" and "Some Obsoleted Movies" Anyway, sorry for the probably un-needed rant.

Thanks for your work on this page, thatguy! I slightly edited the formatting to make it the same as Gruefood Delight's, so everything isn't squished on one line.

Sure, I can move it if you decide on a different name.

Thanks CoolKirby! I'm a total noob at formatting markup stuff, so I just tried to copy what was on Gruefood Delight by clicking the edit button on that page and then copying what I saw. I must have copied it slightly wrong. As for the name, I went with it because it was Alden's choice and, if I'm not mistaken, Alden was the one behind Gruefood Delight, without which this page wouldn't exist. Also on the name, there is an accidental inconsistency between the URLs of this page and Gruefood Delight: GD has "Movies" in the URL while OF doesn't. Is this a problem from the point of view of site structure?
