Speedy Gonzales? I'd say this: http://tasvideos.org/1349M.html - NES "warpless" Super Mario Bros (JPN/USA PRG0) in 18:41.7 by Lee (aka. HappyLee). Basically world 6 where he stood at the right of the screen and was jumping and shooting very quickly. That was fast. I'd also say this: http://tasvideos.org/1380M.html - GBA "100%" Metroid Zero Mission (USA) in 1:01:08.0 by Filip Roskvist (aka. Cpadolf). Since getting the speed booster, when wasn't Samus blasting through everything?

I believe it makes little sense to nominate improvements to existing movies in the same categories, since in that case we will be seeing all the same stuff winning over and over. — Alien Soldier (!); — Tetris DS; — Gunstar Super Heroes; — Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Maria is the fastest, I guess); — Strider 2; — Hagane.

Even if that would fit me better to say nothing, i truly think richter is more adequate here, he goes at very high speed, some movements used in the tas are sick.

I definitely second Ragnacenty and Sonic 3 100% (sonic) for this nomination.

You do realize I submitted that 2010, don't you? I'm very amused (And would be even more amused if the award was won for the 2010 awards), but I don't see it happening.

Game completion is NOT what this category is about. It is about fast movement on the screen. For that I voted Tetris DS. Man those pieces are flying around at robotic speeds.

Tough decision, but finally voted for Alien Soldier. Already fast game was basically destroyed.

After rewatching them, I was tempted to vote for Alien Soldier or Strider 2, but Sonic was definitely the fastest, by far.

This category feels like we are voting for games rather than movies...
