General description

  • Aim for fastest time
  • Abuses game bug
  • Take damage to save time
  • Luck manipulation
  • Keep music of boss fight

Improvements

126 frames improved totally.Main improvement is in 5th boss fight,others are gained by game optimization.The game has strong randomness in the value of X Y coordinate and fractional coordinates. The value of fractional coordinate would keep when stage changes.
The details of improvement.Most tiny improvements is due to randomness control,different weapons and optimized route choice.

6 frames ahead.(4 frames saved by randomness control of Ryu's damage in 4-2A)

Stage 5

84 frames ahead.(78 frames saved because of boss fight)

6 frames ahead.

Stage 7

24 frames ahead.
  • 7 frames from different wall climbing choice in 7-2A
  • 4 frames from randomness control
  • 9 frames from randomness control and ninpo using on the last enemy.

At 6:24 is it possible to jump to the wall directly, rather than fall-then-jump?

What a great way to start out the new year! It's amazing to see so much squeezed out of Scumtron's already highly optimized run. Now I feel like my old, long-obsoleted run is downright slow.

Don't be sad. I played this game for over 20 years and can't beat first 3 stages until now, but this run is made by a boy under 20 years old, which makes me shame and I feel my life meaningless.

Jump arc is not that long.

FYI it didn't beat scumtron in entertainment and my WIP is still faster no offense. There is a chance jumping over a platforms in last stage(before boss fight) though i did that with j rom . NiceTAS btw

Could you show that with a wip? I don't know where did you mean, I think the last stage can not be faster.

I think i've uploaded a demonstration with j rom where you can jump over those platforms(which I called fall through platform). But its actually not a last stage so i don't know if its applicable there as well. And the 1 frame lose in stage 2 can be avoided. Have you tried not using sword upgrade in stage 2?

I have to point out,this run doesn't belong to Rum,even he does not deserve to be co-author.Different from Ghosts 'n Goblins,this time,Rum completely cloned my tas frame by frame.There is no no no no no no no no.....improvement in his submission.Rum just made mini change to make work can run in Ninja Gaiden 3 (U) correctly,since my original work is Ninja Gaiden 3 (J).

Xipo, can you please provide proof of your claims? It’s a bit bizarre that you are only pointing this out nearly 7 years later, and it’s not really easy to tell if these claims are true without something to support it.

You have a considerably bad track record when it comes to providing evidence and justification on these claims that you’re practically stating “trust me” again. Like can you provide the evidence besides going on deliberate misconceptions again Xipo. Through the thread of the game the only thing you provide is an 18 second userfile of the Stage 5-3 boss. And the only submission you have of the title there is an extreme differences between yours and theirs. What and where's this Ninja Gaiden III (Japan) version movie file you're on about?

@EZGames69 & Spikestuff.You are right,I have no proof,even if I upload my original work now,I can't prove it's earlier than Rum's run.Tasvg in archive.It's only evidence which I can submit.Unfortunately,it seems that we can't visit it.Tasvg is my website in China,and Rum is one member in Tasvg.In fact,many people know this Clone Event(maybe include Scumtron and Marx and dragonxyk),it's just that no one will stand up and testify,since no one wants to get into trouble,just like me back then.If possible,I want to listen Rum's explain.My goal is not to overturn the case,I just tell the truth.I will submit a new tas to solve the problem.

There is another way. Contact Rum in private and try to convince them to confess the truth. Otherwise, make a new improvement TAS.

Ninja Gaiden belong to you forever. This can prove I had published my tas before 2012.It is 80 frames shorter than Rum' run in 2014,although Ninja Gaiden 3 (U) is a little different from Ninja Gaiden 3 (J).All improvement Rum declared here comes from my work.Obviously,Rum cloned my tas and turned it into his own work.
