There is now a tool to create TASes for Trackmania Nations and Trackmania United, called TMInterface. It's available here: https://donadigo.github.io/tminterface Examples of some TAS records so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzqq8I3JFz4 The TAS leaderboards are tracked on a Google spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R1N4mQkRyQemJgDAGh54v9_n4fLW4Z3EGp71xrIBRIY/edit#gid=0 The situation is similar to Doom. Trackmania has its internal replay file format, which only consists of inputs and is fully deterministic. It would in other words need special treatment in the submission system, if it were to be included in this way. A different way would be to use the Linux version and TAS it as any other game.

Oh this is AMAZING! Runs will explode in creativity, and I really hope it will help reducing the current RTA WRs.

I'm so glad TASing happened to Trackmania. The number of crazy runs with ridiculous strats is already huge and keeps increasing.
Pushing Half-Life to its limits.

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting. If TASing is meta-play, TASVideos Movie Rules are meta-meta-play!
