Hello Kitty Bowl!

There are 5 things you can do:
  1. Increase/decrease the power you throw the ball by pressing up/down. This determines how fast/slow you throw it. It ranges from 1-44, but the sweet spot for power vs. time is to have it be 27. Starting in level 2 I'll sometimes have to use less power to have a pin hit another pin.
  2. Walk side to side with DPAD left/right
  3. Change the angle with L1/R1.
  4. Time the throw with the red bar. The white line in the center represents how clean the hit will be: if it's further to the right then the ball will hook right. The position of the red bar is randomized, so having to wait/walk to the side/use number 5 is usually necessary.
  5. After timing, you can still influence the ball by holding left/right on the DPAD. Doing this moves the ball in that direction until a certain distance is reached down the lane, where it'll instead hook based on your timing.
There's 2 game modes, "Simple" and "Quest". This run plays the Quest game mode: different pin combos are set upon the lane, and you have limited chances to knock them all down. If you'd like to watch the Simple submission, you can do so here.

Potential Improvements

Find ways to use 27 power on frames where I needed to use less than that. Get all pins on the first try (3-01, 3-02).

Darkman425: I don't have a good bowling pun right now for this judging claim. All my ideas just go straight into the gutter.
Darkman425: Input file replaced with one having the cycle count and clearing the dialogue after the final set of frames.
Darkman425: So I did some testing for myself trying to tackle 3-1's 4-6-7-9-10 split AKA the Greek Church split. I could only find one recorded instance of a Greek Church split being picked up compared to 4 different 7-10 split pick ups being recorded on television, so this frame is kin of cruel. After an hour of testing I couldn't find a way to get all of the pins since at best the 4 or the 6 pins remained as I couldn't get the opposite pin to slide across. Either this would need a lot more time to figure out or the game engine isn't built in a way that allows someone to pick up that split. As for the rest of the frames the optimization looks solid. Nice work!
Accepting to Standard under the "Quest" branch.
fsvgm777: Processing. r3gamerz is handling the encodes for this one.

Okay, that was a cute dance at the end. Nice relaxing bowling-music too. Too bad about 3-01 and 3-02, maybe a bot could manage to hook/slow the ball to hit all the pins? Or it could be like the Simple series Putter Golf game where a hole-in-one just isn't possible on some levels.

As cool as bots are, I wouldn't even know where to begin making one. I wanted to learn with Animal Crossing Wild World RNG, but... too stupid
