About the game
Escalator is ROM hack of Super Mario Bros. done by ATA. Who is known for other ROM hacks he did like Extra Mario Bros. or The Mystery of Luigi.
In this ROM hack, ATA presents us on the only level custom tiles. In this case these are some boost tiles that can make the player go faster or slower, depending on which direction you're going.

I did a
fast accelearation at the beginning of the movie, and I tried to land as quickly as a can on every boost path that made Mario go to the right, which make him go to the right side of the screen. I tried to avoid the left boost during the movie. However, there's a parkour section where I was obligated to land on them, only for a few frames.
Apologies for (probably) my bad English.
CoolHandMike: This is a hack that can be found easily online, and while this is very short with only a single stage this is also considered complete. Optimization looks fine.
