While we await Nitsuja or anyone creating a good N64 emulator, I thought we could write which games should be done. Here is my list: Banjo-Tooie. Castlevania. Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. Donkey Kong 64. Jeopardy!? hehe no!. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, The. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The. Resident Evil 2. Mario Kart 64.

Mario 64! And Lylat Wars (Star Fox), but since this is an auto-scrolling game I vote for getting the highest score throughout the universe.

Mega Man 64, although I think I'd still prefer the original Mega Man Legends. (Did anybody see this one coming?) Mentioning Mega Man Legends reminds me that I really want to make a Silent Hill run. ;_;

F-Zero X Diddy Kong Racing? Mario 64, one with all stars, and one with as few stars as possible. A couple of Mortal kombat games perhaps? Some play throughs?

Duke Nukem 64. I am an absolute bottomless pit of information on this game. There's very little that I don't know about this game.

I'd put priority on Banjo-Kazooie over Tooie. It's a much shorter game and I imagine it would be a lot less hellish to plan out and test that first, then Tooie afterward. Mischief Makers would make for a very good movie. It's a 2D Treasure game, and I don't think anything more needs to be said than that. Also, Blast Corps. Since this game places a good amount of emphasis on time (esp. for platinum medals), it would be great fun to see just how quickly each level can be beaten. :) edit: Forgot an obvious one, Goldeneye! edit: Oh, and Pilotwings and Kirby. And Super Smash Bros. ;)

Rick: I've hardly ever played Duke Nukem 3D, but I remember that it's possible to run faster somehow, probably by strafe running like in Doom. Is it the same in the N64 version of the game?

No, but from what I've seen, the game seems to be on some kind of "Auto-Run" mode. You do seem to go really fast through the levels. I do have a few old tricks too on David Wonn's site, but only one is actually of any use. I do have a Secrets FAQ on GameFAQs, so that may be of some slight good use of route planning too. OK, getting off topic now! I should go make a topic somewhere about this game. XD

Don't forget that it may be possible that some games aren't emulated so well. Only games that are well emulated should be done. And there's Doom64 and Ogre Battle Person of Lordly Caliber

I believe a GoldenEye master would be required to make runs of it. Simply, there are too many different level paths and strategues for just anyone to go in and make the run. Studying the world records, of course, would help, but I imagine with the possibilities of an emulator, many of the WR strategies will be obsoleted (for the emulator only, of course.) So before worrying about speed in GoldenEye, I'd like just to go for style. All levels done on Dark LTK mode with all head shots.

I used to play GoldenEye VERY much when I was younger and I found the speedrun of the whole game very impressive. It's damn hard at times. Anyway, I don't know if they looked down at the floor for any special reason but I'd like to see more of the levels/enemies instead of just the ground zooming by. If of course, someone is up for it eventually.

They look at the floor to reduce lag. It's a lot easier for the game to draw just the floor. :)

Aha! So there was a reason for it ;) Anyhow. I'd still love to see something else but the floor, even though it might be slightly faster. I was actually amazed over that when I played the game, how similiar some areas are to the movie. For example the stairs in the second level when entering the last room where Trevalyan is. The stairs are the same!

I can't believe N64 TASing is being considered, this is wild. As for games that haven't been mentioned yet... Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon and Goemon's Great Adventure. These two games rock.
