Well this isn't exactly a bug, but... Since AIM was shut down pretty recently, I don't see the point of keeping it around on the profile summary, since, well... AIM is dead and all, so removing it as soon as possible would be ideal.

Some users have been reporting that Chrome (or Chromium or related forks) does not show the "Watch now using (video stream services)" buttons underneath a publication screenshot. Oddly, I have been able to reproduce this on one browser profile but not on another (using the exact same version). I don't know where the difference comes from. Both have JavaScript enabled, and other relevant settings are the same too as far as I can tell.

I experience the same problem on both of my PCs with Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Strangely enough, Internet Explorer is the only one that displays the movie pages correctly.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

I think it's because you don't have Flash installed. I know this because, when I was visiting this site on my mom's laptop, I couldn't find the "watch now using [x]" buttons either.

I can confirm that the links don't appear (probably) if Flash isn't installed. I recently removed it from my system. I don't think Flash should be required for those links to appear.

Except they're using Flash to play the video aren't they?

At least YouTube hasn't been using flash in years.

Youtube switched over to HTML5 quite a while ago.

The "Like / g+ / share" links depends on the browser's Do Not Track settings mostly found under privacy. This setting changes the "window.navigator.doNotTrack" value the script requires as a condition to add these elements. The "archiv / dailymotion / youtube" links depends on the browser's/site's settings of Flash being allowed. If you just have the "use global default (Ask)", it won't trigger asking for your permission. The browser will lie about flash being installed (in chrome at least when running the required condition of Flash.Installed or something like that at the end of merged.js). And, the example from the screenshot [1158] NES 8 Eyes "2 players" by Slotermeyer in 16:40.28 has a broken dailymotion link.

On the other hand, I found the filter to block the entire sharing div:

Not a bug. It's a feature. And this has been brought up before some time ago. Any movie under the "Featured Movie" listing is any Star Movie that exists.

Not a bug, but it's weird for me that only Vault has an icon and other paragraph don't have. It should be the lowest tier but the image reinforces as something more positive than other sections. https://imgur.com/jxXHPXx

If spambot reports count as site bug reports, then look who posted last in the Undertale thread. Note the two links in the user's signature. EDIT: And if the post ever gets deleted, here's a screencap for posterity. [MOD EDIT: Report appreciated, but you really don't need to archive spam links lol -Mothrayas]

Hello, Is it normal a submitter can vote for his own movie? One vote can change everything in the mind of judges to say if a movie go on Vault or on Moons x). I don't log in automatically if it's a bug.

-ViGadeomes' Post- Yes, No, Ok expand... cause this is also normal. In that order.

No, one single vote can't change much, especially if it's unexplained. Also, submission votes are not the only factor for a judge decision.
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"

If you're saying that submission votes aren't the only factor in whether a submission is accepted for publication or not, I agree with that. However, if you're claiming that votes aren't the only factor on what tier a submission is accepted to, I respectfully disagree with your statement. In my opinion, a judge's personal opinion on whether a TAS is vault or moon quality should not override the community voting. If the voting is borderline, I have no problem with the judge being the determining factor for the resulting tier. If the voting is clear on how entertaining others find a submitted run, yet the judge's opinion is opposite; the judge should not be allowed to override that voting and put the run in the tier of their own personal perspective. This applies in both directions. A judge shouldn't be able to override a low entertainment vote to promote a run to moons, nor should they be able to override higher entertainment vote to relegate a run to vault.

They also use written out opinions in the thread to determine tiers iirc. Keep in mind people have tried to abuse the polls before: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=441898#441898

Point considered (along with some statements in IRC). Is the voting then worthwhile in the first place? Maybe a new policy on determining community entertainment value would be to only use forum posts. We could eliminate the voting mechanism and simply put our yes/no vote in the forum for a given run. While this would unfortunately inflate the length of many topics, it would ideally lessen the abuse. EDIT; I guess the point I was trying to make in my earlier post is that a judge's personal opinion should never be able to override the collective opinion of the community (however that collective opinion is determined).

Absolutizing things does no good. First, we have this set of guidelines: http://tasvideos.org/JudgeGuidelines.html#BeThorough Second, millions of flies can be wrong. We've seen it so many times. If you want to discuss this particular point, I'll provide links. Third, you're talking about judges like we deal with their personal takes. It's not true. Meticulousness and experience are the critical qualities here. We test things for as long as needed until it's clear what 2+2 is. When needed, we also test each other, and the rules. Sometimes judges make mistakes too. When it happens, no one is afraid of revisiting their decisions. Overall, I don't think there's reason to blow things out of proportion here.

It was not my intent to blow things out of proportion. I did not intend for any of these posts to be interpreted that I am upset with the current system. I'm not...unless the example I used (judges completely disregarding the community in preference of their own opinion) is actually happening. Forgive me if my choice of words did not convey this or came across too harshly. ThunderAxe's post that I first referenced can be interpreted as though votes don't matter to judges unless they are explained with an accompanying forum post. I don't believe this is currently happening. I only want to re-enforce the idea that vote totals should matter to judges when determining tier. I recognize that they aren't the only factor considered. I wasn't suggesting, nor am I now, that any of the site's current (or past) judges are guilty of this. I've been quite pleased with how things have been judged since I've been around. If there is a current judging problem, I'm unaware of it. I'm not trying to start (or prolong) a debate here. Yet, I stand by my opinion that judges should not go against the general community opinion simply because they personally disagree with how entertaining a submission is. I'm not saying this is occurring, just that it's something I believe shouldn't be. Side Note:

I found this statement hilarious, assuming you meant that millions of flies will still swarm around s**t even though it's s**t. Great reference!

Here are some new links for the Potential Emulators:
  • There are two distinct PCSX2-rr projects (Google Code link isn't dead, but it also didn't point to either of these, and Google Code projects can no longer be updated):
  • Virtual X68000
  • VICE (existing domain name was snatched by a group claiming to be an Arizona-based legal team)
Also, the link for nullDC isn't dead, but the emulator itself isn't being developed anymore; the Atari++ link timed out for me, but archive.org did say that the download link for the program itself was still live, and I could still download it, so I guess it's not dead yet.
