Red Alarm is a 3D shooter using wire frame graphics. As a 3D game, this is the best Virtual Boy game. This is not an automatic scrolling game, so the player can fly around the 3D space freely. The mission is to destroy a computer called KAOS. There are 6 stages and each stage has a boss. The game ends if the fuel runs out.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: VBjin svn61
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Aims for maximum score
  • Takes no damage
  • Manipulates luck
The graphics have been edited not to hurt your eyes.

Comments

Pressing ← or → of the right D-pad allows you to move faster when you go diagonally forward. In front of the entrance of boss’s room at stage 5, there should be 4 tough enemies. But one of them accidentally disappeared. That allowed me to keep the significant move.

adelikat: Viewer response was good and seems to be well played so accepting for publication.

Can someone please make an encoding that utilizes Youtube's 3D features?

I must admit, I'm probably interested in seeing a TAS for any Virtual Boy game with an ending. Along with that, this does look quite interesting. Yes vote for violently exploding pies or no violently exploding pies.

Fairly interesting run, Yes vote. Oh, and we should rename this to "Pink Alarm" since it looks pink on an emulator. (sarcasm)

This was a fairly interesting run, so this gets a Yes vote from me. Furthermore, I'll shamelessly claim it for encoding. EDIT: Encode is available on Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?mmmyydrzhtw Note: I put it onto Mediafire because I'm not sure if the encode is alright or not. EDIT 2: Archive.org link: Details Direct download At the time of typing, it is in the process of being derived.

I've belatedly created a YT3D encode for this; see it here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5DA4DE5D956CD7DB I'll add the link to the movie proper once part 2 finishes processing.
