Crime City is a 1989 beat 'em up game that was developed by Taito for the arcades. The game involves police officers Tony Gibson and Raymond Broady, who receive a call during their day off that a huge amount of prisoners have broken out of prison and committed a number of large crimes within a very short timespan. They have managed to occupy a shipping port, rob a bank, and kidnap the mayor, among other things. It's up to the two of them to solve the problem as police officers by doing a very '80s move, killing all of them.
This was the game used in TASVideos's Dream Team Contest 11, where groups of tool-assisted speedrunners compete to produce the fastest tool-assisted speedrun within a given deadline. This movie is the combined result of all those efforts. Here, you can witness Raymond Broady die and get shot multiple times in the speedrunners' quest to beat the game as fast as possible.

Phineas and Ferb: Gadget Golf is a minigolf video game spinoff of the Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb. In this game, Phineas and Ferb have both created an elaborate mingolf course filled with whatever stuff they can find and somehow buy from the construction industry. The levels they made include attractions such as treadmills running on bicycle power, laser guns powered by air conditioners, UFOs with tractor beams, and even a perfect scale replica of the Eiffel Tower.
For this run, CasualPokePlayer completes all ten holes in the course in record time and with as few strokes as possible.

This version of Donkey Kong (informally known as Donkey Kong '94, due to its 1994 release date) follows the same premise as the original game from the 1980s, in that Mario is tasked with rescuing Pauline from the eponymous Donkey Kong.
Besides adding over 90 additional stages to the original 4 stages, this release also introduces many new game-play mechanics which both help and hinder Mario from reaching his goal. Some of these new elements are patterned off concepts from other Mario games including Donkey Kong Jr., SMB, SMB 2 (USA), and SMB 3.
The authors abuse a glitch in the save system which causes the game to act as if it completed a later checkpoint up until the final one at 9-5. See the authors' comments for more information.

We also have a run that plays through the game normally, which you can find here.

Fushigi no Dungeon - Fuurai no Shiren GB - Tsukikage Mura no Kaibutsu, translated as Mystery Dungeon - Shiren the Wanderer - The Monsters of Moonlight Village, is an entry in the Mystery Dungeon series of roguelike games. The game follows Shiren The Wanderer, and his talking weasel Koppa.
Rather than go on an adventure with Shiren, CasualPokePlayer instead abuses input handling programming errors to execute arbitrary code and jump straight to the credits roll, which lasts longer than the actual gameplay of this run.

Ash reveals his dark side, using save corruption and direct memory manipulation to catch 64 of the 151 Pokémon in the blink of an eye. Then he beats the game in less than a minute (in-game time) - without ever leaving his own room, bypassing Professor Oak's speech and skipping right to the high praise for his impressive stats.
This run is so glitchy that it's near impossible to follow what's going on without help; reading the author's notes is highly recommended.

Pokémon: Red Version is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the game can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as shown by this run, and it can be completed in around 10 minutes using a more "conventional" glitch, as shown by this run. These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers.

Prehistorik Man (not to be confused with the game of the same name on the SNES, which is the sequel) was a platform game for the Game Boy, made by Titus Interactive. This game is actually a port of Prehistorik 2, which was made for MS-DOS and Amstrad CPC. Even with the major cuts out from the original PC game, Prehistorik Man seems to still be a rather faithful port, and pulled off some very interesting technical feats for the Game Boy.
CasualPokePlayer and WarHippy complete the game in record time.

As one of the many video game adaptations of the Harry Potter series, this adventure game for the GBA sticks fairly closely to the plot of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone as Harry attends his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Despite the large number of adaptations out there, at the start of 2015 this was only the first Harry Potter game to receive a movie on TASVideos.
Rather than replay the events of The Sorcerer's Stone, the authors instead dabble in the dark arts of barrel-amplified Flipendo magic to end the game much earlier than intended.

Keitai Denjū Telefang (携帯電獣テレファング) is a series of video games produced by Natsume and published by Smilesoft. The games are monster-battling games, where the player contacts various creatures using a cell phone-like device called a D-Shot in order to get them to battle the foes he or she will encounter. The name of the series derives from Keitai, which is Japanese for "cell phone," since phoning creatures is an integral part of the game, and "fang," to symbolize the various beasts involved.
jlun2, MisterChess and CasualPokePlayer improve the previous movie by 1 minute and 56.52 seconds, thanks to a game breaking glitch that triggers the credits really early. Please read the authors' comments for more details. Of note the previous publication relied on an emulator bug for it to work, whereas this one has been console-verified and a video of it can be viewed right here.

Pokémon Silver and Gold form the second generation of Pokémon, after Pokémon Red and Blue. The main differences between the generations is that the game is now in full color, and that there are 251 Pokémon instead of 151.
This movie plays through Pokémon Silver in a fairly fast manner, catching only a half dozen Pokémon in the process, but acquiring all the gym badges, and ultimately beating the protagonist of the previous generation of Pokémon games.
The authors of this movie have written very extensive details of anything regarding this movie, including even some of the mathematical formulas used by the game. As usual, we recommend reading these comments.

Pokémon Gold and Silver form the second generation of Pokémon, after Pokémon Red and Blue. The main differences between the generations is that the game is now in full color, and that there are 251 Pokémon instead of 151.
CasualPokePlayer employs a staggering amount of luck manipulation and extremely careful routing (accomplished using the RouteTwo program) in order to improve upon the predecessor Silver run by 01:23.49 minutes. Only a few Pokémon are collected in this run, but all gym badges are acquired before defeating the protagonist of the previous generation of Pokémon games.

Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors is an unreleased Sega CD title with several short-games. It was to be published by Absolute Entertainment around 1995 but the company went bankrupt and the title never made it to market. A copy of the title circulated in 2005 and begun its cult following.
Desert Bus is the fan-favorite. A simulation title where you drive a bus in real time at a maximum speed of 45mph, these trips requires eight hours of continuous play.
