Similar to the NES game of the same name, Rad Spencer must defeat evil using only his grappling hook hand and various big guns. The author abuses the grappling hook to move very quickly and through seemingly solid floor.

Skate or Die - Bad 'n Rad is the only game in the Skate or Die series to be developed by Konami instead of EA. In this game, our unnamed skateboarder shreds through a mix of side-scrolling and top-down levels. There are enemies and bosses after him, who he can attack by jumping in the air and bashing them with his skateboard.
JXQ proves he's both bad and rad as he rolls straight through the obstacles, precisely avoiding damage and making the game look easy.

Note: The credits in the encode end halfway through due to an emulation error crashing the game at that point.

"¡Ándele! ¡Ándele! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!"
In Speedy Gonzales: Aztec Adventure, Sylvester the cat has kidnapped all the mice from Speedy's village, and our super fast hero races to rescue them. There are weapons he can pick up to fight enemies along the way, as well as speed boosts to help him jump over dangerous obstacles like spike pits.
If you're looking for more Speedy Gonzales action, we also have a run of Speedy's SNES game.

Jason and his magical jumping tank, "S.O.P.H.I.A.", are back, this time in glorious 16-bit graphics (and not so glorious sound). Much like its predecessor, the player must alternate between sidescrolling and overhead views to collect parts for the tank and vanquish evil.
This movie abuses death to a large degree to obliterate the game in record time.

Sub-Terrania is a very different game with a fresh (unforgiving) physics engine. As the pilot of a small ship, you explore areas to collect items and rescue miners, fighting against momentum and gravity.
This movie has an Atlas Map encode of Mission 6, which shows the standard encode overlaid on a zoomed out map.

River City Ransom is a goofy game that deserves a goofy TAS. This movie showcases cool tricks and some glitches that don't necessarily result in the fastest completion. We also have a movie which aims for speed.
Selected Quote from the authors:
We looked at previous submissions and demonstrations of this game and tried to include the most entertaining parts of what was available, and add in a few ideas of our own along the way. Hopefully you'll get a kick out of it.

Yo dude!
Skate or Die 2 is an NES game infamous for its unresponsive controls and other obvious problems. Luckily, bad programming can work to one's advantage in a project like this. Luck manipulation is also a big part of getting through this game quickly.

In the future (and by future, we mean 1999), game shows take on a whole new meaning. Mostly it involves using heavy artillery.
This run is played in two-player mode with the author controlling both characters. It aims for showing off and being entertaining while still being reasonably fast. A code is used to access the highest difficulty level.
