Tutankham is an arcade game developed by Konami that was ported to home consoles such as the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision by Parker Brothers. You play as an ambitious grave robber that's plundering the tomb of Tutankhamun, hoping to find riches and treasures. Unfortunately, there are a bunch of magical curses and wild animals such as dragons that can kill you in one hit. You can shoot them off with your gun, but you can't shoot up or down. You also can only carry one key in a time, and there are multiple locked doors in each level.
Winslinator and feos make their trek in the tomb much easier through the power of RNG manipulation, causing enemies to not spawn most of the time, and complete one loop of the game in record time.

Battletoads (1991) is a futuristic beat 'em up game known for its extreme difficulty spread over 12 difficult levels. The mechanics in the game also change drastically from level to level, making the game one of the hardest and most varied for the NES.
In this game, the second most diabolical evil genius in the universe, The Dark Queen, has kidnapped Princess Angelica and Pimple - a battletoad. This includes falling down huge shafts, racing through obstacle courses at breakneck speeds, riding on snakes through a massive maze of spikes, passing through a killer ventilation system, navigating through a missile defense system, climbing a never ending revolving tower, and much much more. Along the way, the Battletoads must also face off against an evil army of robots, genetically engineered rodents, and The Dark Queen herself.
In this run, feos, Alyosha, and Samsara improved upon the previous publication by 02:39.34 using many new tricks and glitches.

Battletoads (1991) is a futuristic beat 'em up game known for its extreme difficulty spread over 16 difficult levels. The mechanics in the game also change drastically from level to level, making the game one of the hardest and most varied for the NES.

Along the way, the Battletoads must also face off against an evil army of robots, genetically engineered rodents, and The Dark Queen herself.
In order to make the game a bit easier, its creators embedded some secret warp zones to skip a few early levels in their entirety. But that simply wasn't good enough for MESHUGGAH, feos & Koh1fds; they decided to travel directly to level 3, where they invent their own warp and skip right to the grand finale. They took a glitch found in this TAS and exploited it even further, to the point where the Dark Queen just gives up and returns Angelica and Pimple, going off to hatch an even more evil plan for next time. The glitch is done by breaking the game execution and sending it right to the game ending.
This run conquers the predecessor movie by 00:00.85 seconds by using a more accurate core and a newly discovered void jump trick.

Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team is an action packed beat 'em up crossover that features essentially the same physics as Battletoads. Together, these heroes must defeat the Shadow Boss, the Dark Queen, and an assortment of other baddies.
Lobsterzelda and feos improve the previous movie by 1 minute and 13.58 seconds, thanks to better optimisation and newly discovered tricks. Please read the authors' comments for more details.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers 2 is quite an improvement over the original Chip 'n Dale in terms of graphics and a whole lot of other things. Thankfully, the original game's solid controls haven't been changed. The plot of this game is that Fat Cat has stolen the Pharaoh's Urn and wants to use its power (for evil purposes, of course).
This run only uses Chip. It's an improvement of 01:19.40 over the previous "1 player" publication, through careful optimization, some new tricks and manipulating the bosses.

Scrooge McDuck is advanced in years, he travels around the lake with Niagara on one side and Scotland on another, and beats money out of half-transparent bosses. He hides in the sand and rides the vertex, gets lightning strikes and beats liquid D-1000 robot with his little toe. He also jumps on his pogo stick like he has dementia. Or maybe all that is just a fancy of his senile mind?
The authors, feos and MESHUGGAH, complete the game 00:03.66 seconds faster than the previous movie by adelikat by minimizing lag, general optimization and some new tricks.
This movie does not get the best (100%) ending, but also does not get the worst (no money).

James Bond Jr. is a 1991 video game developed by Eurocom. The world’s greatest scientists have mysteriously disappeared! Intelligence reports indicate that James Bond Junior's old enemy, SCUM Lord, has imprisoned them on his island fortress in the Caribbean. Without hesitation, Junior heads out on four dangerous missions to save the scientists and thwart SCUM Lord’s plans!
Here, our brave hero ignores normal elevators, uses all available items and manages their amounts very precisely, and generally abuses his lifebar.
We also have a run of the SNES version.

This movie features the new .FM3 format, intended to be watched in TASEditor, where detailed comments on the run are visible. You can play around with branches included in the movie as well. See the author's explanation on how to use this feature.

In Joust, players take control of a knight with a lance who rides their flying ostrich (or stork, for Player 2) to do battle against computer-controlled evil knights who ride atop vultures.
This game has 90 waves, and starts looping after wave 40 (in the NES version), so this run beats 44 waves. After the movie ends, one can see how wave 45 is beaten with no input and with massive amount of deaths (encodes don't have it).

Ninja Gaiden is a classic action NES title known for its difficulty, starring famous ninja Ryu Hayabusa as its main protagonist. Ryu has just learned that his father has recently gone missing after being defeated in a dual against his rival. He must now take up his sword and avenge his father, all the while encountering government conspiracies and supernatural events.
In this run, a group of authors decide to eschew the usual ninja methods of killing anything that wants to hurt you and go for a pacifist run, only killing when necessary to progress. To accomplish this, the RNG was heavily manipulated and glitches were abused to skip as many fights as possible and reduce the number of enemies encountered. For more information, you can read the authors' notes here.

Puss 'n Boots: Pero's Great Adventure is an NES game that's derived from the Famicom game Nagagutsu o Haita Neko: Sekai Isshū 80 Nichi Dai Bōken (長靴をはいた猫 世界一周80日大冒険). Both games are loosely based off of the 1976 anime film Puss 'n Boots Travels Around the World (長靴をはいた猫 80日間世界一周), which is part of a small series of anime films starring Toei's old mascot Pero. Watch as Pero visits various places and rides various vehicles to get to them, all while fighting monsters and random bad guys along the way.
For this run, a collaboration of various authors have come together to complete this game as fast as possible.

The guy with an infinite supply of ammo and insatiable bloodlust is back! Known as Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces in Europe, this game is, implicitly, Contra 2. Without the 2.
This movie is 00:27.02 seconds faster than the previous run due to a new trick that allows the final boss to be completely skipped in a blaze of glitchy glory. For more information, please read the submission comments.
We also have a run that uses two players, but forgoes the final level glitch.

Super Donkey Kong 2 is a pirated Famicom port of the SNES game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest published by NT in 1997.
The controls, graphics, and audio are similar to the SNES game, but downgraded to suit the NES hardware. The player can only control Diddy Kong alone, and due to the lack of Dixie Kong, a single hit from an enemy will result in death, much like in Super Donkey Kong '99. Several things from DKC2 are present in the game, including banana coins, crates, the K-O-N-G letters and the goal target at the end of the level which is also accompanied by Diddy's victory dance. Notably, there are only three levels in this game.
