You are Rockford, and you have to dig through monster infested caves in search of diamonds. In each level, you must collect a certain number of these diamonds in order to open a portal to the next stage. Enemies can be squashed by falling boulders, which are released when the ground below them is removed or they are pushed onto empty ground. Be careful, though, because these can also squash you. In later levels, difficulty is increased by many puzzle elements and shorter time limits.
There are 16 levels to be completed and five different skill levels available, which affect the number of jewels which must be collected and the time limit.
nymx plays through the 16 levels on the highest skill set (Difficulty 5) in record time.

At first glance it looks like a pleasant wooded glade on a peaceful, mild day. Watch out! It's a giant spider! Run! You don't know how it happened; you don't know how you got here, but, unfortunately, you've wandered into the Forbidden Forest!
You'll find a bow in your hand and a quiver full of arrows on your back, as well as four more full quivers on the ground beside you. You're going to need them.
The Forbidden Forest is a place on this world but certainly not of this world. It is a place of unrelenting terror and trial. It is ruled by the dreaded Demogorgon demonic king of monsters. He will send in his horde of grisly creatures against anyone who dares enter his realm. And if by some miracle, or your own skill, you should vanquish his army, you will have to face the Demogorgon himself. A word of encouragement: no one has ever returned from the Forbidden Forest alive!

Fort Apocalypse is a game developed by Synapse Software and released for the C64 in 1982. The war with the Kralthans is on, and they've taken prisoners. These people must be rescued from the Draconis caves and the Crystaline caves that are located just outside the titular Kralthan main command center. The Fort is too powerful to attack directly, but perhaps a single rocket copter, carefully controlled, might be able to do what an army cannot. However the caves are narrow and the enemy has still setup impact shields, defenses and Hyper-Chambers within their depths.
nymx rescues all of the humans trapped in the fortress, destroys the reactor core there and makes his way back up in record time.
FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING: The destruction of the core at 1:47 in the encode produces flashing lights for about 3 seconds that may cause epileptic seizures.

Yathzee [sic] is one of many ports of the dice game Yahtzee to the Commodore 64. The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible by rolling five dice to make certain combinations. Points are earned depending on the scoring category chosen. A Yahtzee is when all five dice have the same number and is worth 50 points, the most of the categories. Unique to this particular port is the usage of a synthesized voice, which sounds pretty rough due to being on an 8-bit computer.
nymx decides to max out and glitch the score counter by consistently scoring Yahtzees many times in a row. The synthesized voice was kept in to showcase its ability, despite being able to save an additional 43 seconds with it turned off.

As Bounty Bob, the player's goal is to inspect every section of each mine in search of the evil Yukon Yohan while avoiding the radioactive creatures that inhabit the mine. You play as a treasure hunter named Panama Joe, whose goal is to find an ancient treasure hidden by Aztec warrior deep inside catacombs. But beware, the catacombs are a large maze inhabited by monsters. Bouncing and rolling skulls, dancing spiders, disappearing and re-appearing chains and tons of fire await you. You'll have to find many keys and unlock doors in order to reach your goal. Panama Joe can jump and climb ladders, but doesn't have much to offer in terms of combat. That's why the monsters in the game should be avoided: a collision with an enemy leads to a premature death. He will also find amulets which make him invulnerable for a short time. Except for the Master System version, they are activated directly when picked up.
nymx and DrD2k9 go through the nine levels in record time.
We also have a TAS of the Master System version, which includes more levels, amongst other changes.

Stay in a room too long, and a big monster called the Hallmonster will chase down Winky and try to kill him.
In a TAS, due to a version-exclusive delay when changing direction inside rooms, the order of rooms visited is important, and changes to Winky's facing angle must be minimized to save time.

Tetris 2 is more similar to Dr. Mario than the original Tetris in that the goal is to match the colors of the descending tetrominoes with pre-positioned blocks on the play field. When three or more blocks of the same color line up, they are eliminated. When three or more blocks are lined up with the special flashing blocks, all blocks of that color are eliminated at once.
nymx took to creating a Tetris 2-solving, multi-instanced bot program to solve the game as efficiently and quickly as possible. Do see the author's submission notes to learn more about the creation of this TAS, which took over two years to complete.
