Big Kong is a bootleg hack of Crazy Kong, itself a licensed adaptation of Donkey Kong by Falcon for the Japanese market, as the unexpected popularity of it led to a shortage of arcade cabinets. Notable changes in Big Kong include swapping 25M and 50M, as well as making the original 25M a bit more difficult.

Super Mario 4 (also known as Super Mario Land 4) is an unlicensed bootleg game, which is a hack of the Game Boy game Crayon Shin-Chan 4, originally by Bandai. The hack changes a large amount of content. The level design is completely different and is the main subject of the game's criticism due to the borderline unfair increase in difficulty when compared to Crayon Shin-Chan 4. The game has four levels, and each of them is incredibly lengthy.

Mo Jie Qibing (魔戒奇兵 "Lord of the Rings") is a bootleg action game developed by Taiwanese bootleg game developer Vast Fame and released in 2003. It is a top-down shooting game in the vein of Pocky & Rocky - in fact, it even uses the engine from Kiki KaiKai Advance (known as Pocky & Rocky with Becky in the US), which Vast Fame are rumored to have obtained legitimately from its developers. This game's US release was translated as The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, but the movie scenes that appear before each stage are captured from The Fellowship of the Ring.
Players take control of their favorite The Lord of the Rings character analog (Alice, Glenda, Jerry, Shredder, or Roger), and shoot their way through 8 enemy-infested locales (such as a desert full of cacti) that bear little resemblance to any place in the source material that the game is ostensibly based on. Each world has 1 or 2 stages, and ends with a boss fight.
Watch as Noxxa blazes through the game on hard mode with record-setting alacrity, using the fire-flinging wizard Gandalf Glenda for his slow-moving secondary projectiles that shred bosses. Both the camera and luck are manipulated in this run to get to the final encounter with Sauron (?) as quickly as possible - see the author's notes for a detailed breakdown.

Zook Man ZX4 (路克人ZX4) is a Game Boy Advance game by Vast Fame and the third known game in their Zook series. It is based loosely on the Rockman X games.
The game spans eight levels including an intro stage and a final boss rush. Several enemies are taken from Rockman X and Rockman 8, with the bosses being either recycled from previous Zook Hero games or being edits from other official Megaman games. The main character's design is based off of X.
This game was run as part of TASVideos' Dream Team Contest 6, and this TAS was built on a combination of multiple submissions of said contest - hence the high number of authors.

Rockman DX3, also known as Zook Hero 2, is an unlicensed pirate game developed by Vast Fame that rips gameplay off the Rockman X series. Just like Rockman X, there are eight stages, and six of them contain a boss who gives you his weapon upon defeat. The protagonist, Zook, also has abilities nearly identical to those of X. Despite these similarities, the code and graphics appear to be completely original and the music is actually decent.
Unlike the other run of this game, this run uses a release that doesn't have all stages unlocked from the start, which means all bosses must be defeated and all upgrades obtained first before Zook can tackle the final stages.

Bible Adventures is one of many unlicensed games produced by Wisdom Tree. This particular game offers three modes of play.
This run plays through the "Baby Moses" mode, of how his mother "got a papyrus basket for him ... and placed the child in it and put it ... along the bank of the Nile". This apparently entails avoiding a horde of enemies in the process.
Thus, before Moses can let his people go, Aglar goes as fast as possible by taking a page from the wrong Bible book and walking on water (wouldn't that have made crossing the Red Sea just a little bit easier?) as well as directly through many of the enemies and obstacles preventing one from reaching the right edge of the level.

Squirrel King is a platform video game produced, without license from Sega, by the Taiwanese developer Gamtec for the Mega Drive. Gamtec is also responsible for the development of a number of other games, including many for the Gamate handheld system.
It appears to be loosely based upon Capcom's Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers video games for the Nintendo Entertainment System, sharing its gameplay mechanics, although it is not licensed by Disney. As in the aforementioned game, the main character must throw crates at the enemies in order to defeat them.
This game was eventually used as the basis for the unofficial Mega Drive Super Mario World game. Some of the levels in this game have their background music based on that of the Super NES video game Donkey Kong Country.

Bio Hazard is an unlicensed demake of Resident Evil for the NES by Waixing. Its Mandarin name is 生化危机 Bio Hazard, where "生化危机" means "Resident Evil." The game's physics and aesthetics are based off of the GB game Resident Evil Gaiden.
Like the 3D game it is based on, this game requires the player to navigate a zombie-infested mansion while managing inventory space, ammunition, and puzzle items. Unlike the original Resident Evil however, shooting zombies is accomplished via a mini-game where a moving reticle must be stopped when in range of a target. Created by an Asian pirate developer, Koko Adventure was released in Korea in 1993. The game was planned to be released unlicensed in America as Buzz and Waldog, but was cancelled before it could hit store shelves.
The game's pirate origins are obviously visible - many of the graphics are ripped from popular games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog, and the sound effects are borrowed from Tiny Toon Adventures.

Donkey Kong Country 4 is an unlicensed "demake" of Donkey Kong Country by Taiwanese pirate developer Hummer Team. Gameplay is similar to the official Game Boy Color port of Donkey Kong Country, allowing players to swap Kongs any time they want (provided both are available) by pressing the Select button. Like other games released by Hummer Team, the cartridge this game was released on contains a graphics variation in the ROM, enabled by soldering different points on the PCB, that transforms the game into The Jungle Book 2.
The authors take advantage of Diddy Kong's superior movement speed and an underwater zipping glitch to complete the game in record time.

Super Aladdin is a pirated port of the Genesis version of Aladdin to the NES, containing only half the stages and loads of glitches.
While this run by TASeditor appears to be slower than the previous publication, it is in fact an improvement of 2619 frames, due to the discovery of new glitches and better optimisation (read the author's comments for more details). This is because the previous publication was played on NTSC, while this TAS was played on Dendy (or a famiclone, which this game was supposed to run on), which runs at ~50.007 FPS (like PAL, but with the sound pitch of NTSC, as is usual with famiclones).

Super Contra 7 is a bootleg game based off the Contra series, developed by E.S.C. Co (alias of Waixing) in 1996 for the Famicom and other Famiclones. It is probably either a hack of Contra or Super C or some sort of bootleg original that borrows heavily from the Contra engine. It has graphics stolen from Mighty Final Fight and Shatterhand, but the music appears to be original. The game design here appears to be very odd, with standard enemies that don't shoot at you and power ups that sometimes don't work how they should.

Super Donkey Kong 2 is a pirated Famicom port of the SNES game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest published by NT in 1997.
The controls, graphics, and audio are similar to the SNES game, but downgraded to suit the NES hardware. The player can only control Diddy Kong alone, and due to the lack of Dixie Kong, a single hit from an enemy will result in death, much like in Super Donkey Kong '99. Several things from DKC2 are present in the game, including banana coins, crates, the K-O-N-G letters and the goal target at the end of the level which is also accompanied by Diddy's victory dance. Notably, there are only three levels in this game.

Super Mario World for the NES is a bootleg port of the video game of the same name by Hummer Team, a Taiwanese pirate game developer. It is their attempt at porting a game that was originally for the SNES and making it fit the technical constraints of the NES. The result is what can be expected from a bootleg video game. Levels from the original game are missing, the physics are messed up, and gameplay mechanics such as warps were not implemented. The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods (Mandarin: 塞尔达传说-三神之力) is an NES demake of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by bootleg game developer Mars Production. The gameplay and layout of the game is very similar to A Link to the Past, albeit constrained by the hardware it was developed for: some dungeons from the original game are entirely absent, the graphics are simplified, and the music consists of original tracks that include some Chinese folk songs and classical music. Another interesting difference in this demake is that Link collects coins instead of rupees.
crazyjesse completes the game in record time by exploiting a few glitches related to the Pegasus Boots to make Link move really, really fast, all the time. The author even manipulates which music tracks play throughout the run so that the least laggy music is selected.
A note about the Moldorm fight in this movie: the game crashes on a real console whenever Moldorm is hit by anything other than a dash attack, but curiously this does not happen when emulated. In the interest of console accuracy for the movie, the author chooses to complete the fight as it would need to be if it were being played on a console, rather than a possibly more optimal but emulator-only method.
