After Burst for Game Boy was released Japan-exclusively by NCS in 1990. Conceptually just a simple 2D shooter it features three modes (normal, 1P VS, 2P VS) of which this run plays the 1P VS mode. To reach this mode's ending, 15 (instead of 30 in normal mode) single-screen stages have to be cleared (all of which are different from the ones in normal mode).
The game features a ballistic bullet mechanic where you can charge each shot to have a higher exit velocity. Since only one player bullet can be visible at a time, the damage that can be done in any given timespan is severely limited, necessitating hitting multiple targets in one shot for best efficiency.
Quite strikingly, this game is plagued by extreme lag, slowing in-game time down significantly and contributing to about 80% runtime of the entire movie (about 4 lag frames per normal frame).
jlun2 improves the previous TAS by 7.74 seconds, thanks to decreasing the downtime between shots by changing their aim.

So he steals Batman's outfit, some of his toys, and brings along with himself advanced military weapon prototypes to wipe out the Joker once and for all 'till the next game, and save Gotham city.
This run starts off with walking by enemies, showing how incompetent criminals are at firing guns. It proceeds to aerial combat a bit reminiscent of Gradius, further demonstrating that even when criminals fire, their weapons are no match for Batman's Batwing, even when piloted by a Batman impostor. Battletoads is a classic video game by Rare for the NES, but different versions of the game were also made for many other systems, such as the Genesis and the Game Boy. All of these games are known for their comical animation style (such as gigantic fists and boots when the toads attack) and their high difficulty, essentially requiring the player to memorize the upcoming dangers to react fast enough to survive.
In this version, the player plays as the Battletoad Zitz on a quest to rescue the other two Toads, Rash and Pimple, from the Dark Queen. This game has only 9 stages, as opposed to 12 in the NES version. However, unlike the NES version of the game, there are no warps, and there is no two-player option. There are also fewer time-saving glitches. That doesn't stop Lobsterzelda, though, from beating up tons of enemies and completing the game very quickly.
In this run, Lobsterzelda improves the predecessor movie by 01:09.37 minutes by using a new skip and tighter optimization.

This version of Donkey Kong (informally known as Donkey Kong '94, due to its 1994 release date) follows the same premise as the original game from the 1980s, in that Mario is tasked with rescuing Pauline from the eponymous Donkey Kong.
Besides adding over 90 additional stages to the original 4 stages, this release also introduces many new game-play mechanics which both help and hinder Mario from reaching his goal. Some of these new elements are patterned off concepts from other Mario games including Donkey Kong Jr., SMB, SMB 2 (USA), and SMB 3.

Go! Go! Tank is an action game released exclusively for the Game Boy. Developed by Copya System, it was released in Japan in 1990, and in North America in 1991.
In the game, a peaceful nation has been invaded by an enemy army, and you must help clear the way for your own forces by plane. You must guide your tank to the end of each stage by arranging boxes with a hook attached to the bottom of your plane, as well as by shooting enemy planes and batteries that threaten it.
ThunderAxe31 beats the game in just 10 minutes and 47 seconds, dropping boxes all over the place like crazy. This is done not just to guide the tank to the end of each level as quickly as possible, but also to mess around while waiting.

There's trouble in Dream Land! The self-appointed King Dedede has stolen all of his subjects' food for a midnight feast. Kirby, a resident of Dream Land, bravely sets out to stop the gluttonous penguin and recover the food.
This first game in the Kirby series predates Kirby's ability to absorb enemy powers. He goes on to gain that ability in the second game in the series.
This run takes more real-time than the previous publication due to improvements in emulator accuracy; the gameplay difference is a roughly 2 second improvement. The evil Dark Matter has him under his control and plans to turn Dream Land into a dark world. Kirby aims to save the day by going through seven worlds, aided this time by three animal friends (though you never see Rick the Hamster used in this run).
To get the true ending to the game, the player has to find a rainbow drop on each island, which form the rainbow sword after the main showdown with Dedede. These rainbow drops are hidden off the main paths of the stages, and most of them require a special power to break the barrier guarding the drop. This has a large effect on the route in some stages.

The Game Boy series is a little different from the NES series in that there are only four Robot Masters to fight at the start. Those four are borrowed from the NES game of the same number, while four more Robot Masters from the next NES game guard Dr. Wily’s fortress. Game Boy Wily also likes to have a backup fortress in space after his first one is beaten. Another recurring concept in the Game Boy games is a ninth robot boss unique to the game who gives you a new weapon that is usually the only weapon effective against the final boss.
