This run improves upon the previous publication by more than six minutes of total run time, but with increased load time accuracy, new out of bound glitches, and better optimization, the real time saved compared to the previous run is nearly ten minutes.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is an action role playing game developed by The Game Designers Studio and published by Square Enix in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube. This was the first Final Fantasy game to include real-time fighting, which has since become a staple of Final Fantasy games.
You control a caravan and its members, and travel in a hostile world with dungeons and monsters. You collect drops of Myrrh to protect your village, and go on a quest to find and destroy the source of the miasma that corrupts the world.
Wobmiar further improves on their previous movie's record by by opting not to craft the Master's weapon early on and instead go for the Valiant Weapon, which saves some item farming time and allows the first trip to Marr's Pass to be completely skipped.

Note that this movie was done on a newer version of Dolphin (than the previous run) that has longer and more accurate load times. As a result, this movie's time appears to be slower than the previous run, but is actually faster when load times are discounted.

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry and his friends unravel the mystery behind the Heir of Slytherin (yes, it's Lord Voldemort, duh) and his Chamber of Secrets. USTA2877 would make short work of that, but is frequently interrupted by senseless (unskippable) cutscenes and loading screens, which this game (series) is somewhat notorious for. Most of this run is relatively glitch-free, so lean back and enjoy a fast-forward through the second part of the Harry Potter series.

Note: The minor audio and animation glitches are caused by bugs in Dolphin's emulation and capture.

Ikaruga (2001) is a vertical shoot 'em up published and developed by Treasure as a spiritual successor to its earlier title, Radiant Silvergun (1998). It was first released on arcade machines, then eventually ported to Dreamcast, GameCube, XBLA, Android, and even Steam, thanks to the loyal following among the Western shoot 'em up fans. GameCube version was chosen for creation of this TAS as it provided both the most arcade-accurate port, and the most accurately emulated platform of those available at the time.
Ikaruga features a polarity mechanic wherein enemies can be black or white, shooting black or white bullets, respectively. Additionally, player ships themselves can switch between black and white: when white, ship absorbs white bullets and deals extra damage to black enemies, and vice versa. When enough bullets are absorbed, a powerful enemy-seeking attack can be unleashed. As such, typical gameplay consists of frequent polarity switching, chain-killing enemies, and absorbing bullets instead of dodging them; to capitalize on this, the author chooses to control both player ships in order to absorb as many bullets as possible, do more damage, and pick off escaping enemies without breaking a kill chain.
The goal of this TAS is to maximize the score. Ikaruga's scoring system mainly consists of color-based enemy chaining: killing three enemies of the same color in a row increases chain value, messing up the color sequence resets it. Absorbing bullets and lasers, speedkilling bosses, and having spare lives at the end are also significant score boosts—all of these are used in the TAS to the fullest extent. The final score is a massive 50,230,200, only attainable with two players.

Ikaruga has been extensively competed in both Western and Asian gaming communities, leading to publication of an official superplay DVD, as well as blessing us with many amazing feats of unassisted gameplay. If you've enjoyed this TAS and would like to see what some of the best human players have to offer, make sure to watch VTF-INO's unassisted doubleplay, in which the player attempts to achieve maximum score by controlling both ships in realtime; also check out RNA's flawless stage 5 boss fight done solo, and Sa Suisai's full-game unassisted playthrough on Normal difficulty, executing some inhumanly precise chains on the XBLA version of the game.

Luigi wins a mansion in a contest and his brother, Mario, goes missing there. It is your goal to search the haunted mansion to figure out where he is. Your weapons to protect you are a flashlight and the Poltergust 3000, a ghost vacuum. Capturing ghosts and collecting keys helps you progress in your quest to find Mario.
The author, Malleoz, forgoes out-of-bounds glitches that are present in this movie and plays through the game in a regular way in record time.
The author also provides an alternate encode with commentary which can be viewed here.

This run plays the Hidden Mansion, a mode unlocked after beating the game once that increases the power of the Poltergust and allows skipping some cutscenes, to make the run more entertaining. We do not normally accept runs that start from dirty SRAM; see the rules for more details.

Pac-Man World 2 is a 3D platformer for the Nintendo GameCube. Pac-Man has 2 unique movement options: butt-bouncing (ground pound) and rev-rolling (spindash). The goal is simple, just make it to the end of each stage, and kill each boss at the end of the world.
The TAS differs from RTA runs in that minute details in the level geometry are abused using the rev-roll. This allows many strategies to be shown off that aren't viable otherwise.

Only, they quickly find out that there is trouble amuck at their island destination. A culprit has coated the world with goop and paint. Even worse, according to the locals he just happens to look like Mario. Mistaken for the true offender, Mario's would-be vacation instead turns out to be another day on the job as he is convicted of the villain's crimes and is ordered to clean up the world with a water-spewing device that straps to his back, which just happens to add a whole new layer of depth to the usual platforming action.
Here, zelpikukirby & Goldfire use tools to show just how nimble the famed plumber can be. Focusing on revenge rather than reparation, they bring the perpetrator to justice after collecting only 43 shine sprites, leaving plenty of time for Mario and his friends to indulge in the rest and relaxation they originally set out to enjoy.

Note: This run is known to have a sync dependent on both hardware, and graphic settings. If you are having trouble playing back the emulator movie (DTM file), we recommend you watch one of the pre-made encodes instead.

Sega's Super Monkey Ball (2001) lets you take control of one of four monkeys trapped inside a transparent ball. You must complete each stage by tilting the game level to roll your monkey using the force of gravity and colliding with objects. There are over 100 unique levels ranging in difficulty from easy to near impossible.
In this TAS, the authors start at the Expert difficulty, where they proceed to tear through most of its 60 levels as well as the 10 Master levels, using warps where necessary and breaking most of the heavily optimized console world record times.
This TAS improves upon the previous publication by nearly 16 in-game seconds, using many new route optimizations. More information can be found in the submission text.

In the sequel to Super Monkey Ball, you must once again guide a monkey trapped inside a plastic ball to the goal in each stage by tilting the game world. New features include mechanics like portals and more complex level designs, which in a speedrun, lead to some really interesting routes.

Super Monkey Ball Adventure takes the monkey rolling madness of the previous games and puts a story-based spin on it. Choosing from one of the four monkeys, Players roll their way around the various islands of Monearth, talking to citizens and performing the tasks they request (such as delivering sandwiches, finding a missing baby, rescuing rare flowers, and more) to cheer them up.
Gonquai, however, does not play the story mode. Instead, he clears all difficulties of the Challenge Mode in record time. Here's a TAS of the Story Mode too though!

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. fighting game series is rather different from your typical fighting game. Instead of wearing your opponent's health down to 0, you must knock him or her out of the battlefield. Damage counts upwards, with knockback from attacks that hit you becoming more severe as your damage increases. Fighting controls are also simplified, making it very easy for even your non-gaming friends to pick up and play.
Super Smash Bros. Melee offers fighters from the wealth of Nintendo characters like Mario, Bowser, different Pokémon, Link, and Kirby. They can either fight through the single-player modes like Classic, Adventure, and Event Mode, or they battle it out against other characters in a four-player frenzy.
Additional characters and stages are unlocked as hidden objectives are met, and coins rewarded for playing in all modes can be spent on a capsule toy machine. The toys in the machine represent games from Nintendo's entire video game history, and each can be viewed in 3D with a brief description.
In this TAS, numerics plays through Adventure Mode with Samus, abusing glitches to move through the stages at a high rate of speed while making the battles as entertaining as possible.

Tony Hawk's Underground is a skateboarding-adventure video game published by Activision in 2003, the fifth entry in the Tony Hawk series.
Underground is built upon the skateboarding formula of previous Tony Hawk's games: the player explores levels and completes goals while performing tricks. The game features a new focus on customization; the player, instead of selecting a professional skater, creates a custom character.
Underground adds the ability for players to dismount their boards and explore on foot. The plot follows the player character and his or her friend Eric Sparrow as the two become well-known professionals and grow apart.
In this run, The Packle improves upon the previous publication by over three and a half minutes thanks to a new glitch involving custom tricks which eliminates most of the RNG this game has to offer.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is the sixth installment in Neversoft's Tony Hawk's series and is the sequel to Underground. The gameplay in Underground 2 is similar to that of previous Tony Hawk games: the player skates around in a 3D environment modeled after various cities and attempts to complete various goals. Most goals involve skating on or over various objects or performing combos. Scores are calculated by adding the sum of the point value of each trick strung together in a combo and then multiplying by the number of tricks in the combo.
