This is a Mega Man game that was not developed by Capcom, but rather by Stephen Rozner of Hi-Tech Expressions, who did all the design, programming, graphics, and sound. The game is infamous for its mediocre quality.
In this run, David Fifield shaves 36.61 seconds off the previous movie. The majority of the savings come from a glitch that allows most of Volt Man's stage to be skipped. Other improvements include better movement throughout the stages and faster boss fights.

This game runs too fast on anything more modern than a low-end 386 or so. As such, the encode is technically correct.

Mixed-Up Mother Goose is an adventure game developed by both Coktel Vision and Sierra-Online and released on various platforms, including DOS. Designed for children, it is set in the dream-like world of Mother Goose, who desperately needs help: the nursery rhymes have gotten all mixed up, and it is up to the player to find the required item and bring it to the person for the rhyme to exist.
Sand finds the items and brings them to the NPCs for their rhymes in record time.

The Adventures of Captain Comic: Episode 1 - Planet of Death was one of the first console-style side-scrolling platform (shareware) games for PCs. Though it was developed as an experiment to test the viability of real arcade games on standard IBM-compatible PCs, Captain Comic gained fame as one of the best shareware games ever made, later serving as the inspiration for Commander Keen and even getting an unlicensed port to the NES.
To complete the game, players must collect three treasures that were stolen from the planet Omsoc: rare gems, a sack of rare coins, and a jeweled crown. David Fifield and Kabuto collect the three treasures as quickly as may be technically possible, thanks to accomplishing the routing of the run using computer optimization. To learn more about the algorithms and optimization work that went into this run, read the authors' submission notes.

The encodes of this movie have the authors' commentary embedded as subtitles. Additionally, there is a 21-part series of live coding videos that documents the creation of this TAS. Check out a TAS of the unlicensed NES port here.

Kwirk, known in Japan as Puzzle Boy (パズルボーイ), is a puzzle game that was developed by Atlus. The goal of each level is to get hip tomato Kwirk (a walking potato called Spud in the Japanese version) to the stairs so he can find his missing girlfriend. Each room contains obstacles such as movable blocks, rotating turnstiles, and holes that have to be filled in with blocks in order cross.
This movie improves on the previous "Going Up?" run by 30 seconds by switching to "Bird's Eye View" mode, reducing lag, and making use of a brute force program to find the most optimal solutions for each level. For more details on the setup and hardware used, you can read the author's notes.

Watch this run being played back on a real console.
