Kirby Squeak Squad, known as Kirby Mouse Attack in Europe and Kirby of the Stars: Calling on the Dorotche Gang (星のカービィ 参上! ドロッチェ団) in Japan, was beaten in 36:40.54 minutes by MUGG, by taking advantage of glitches and of the bottom screen, which is used to keep and mix the things Kirby swallowed during his adventure. Bubble Ghost, a game ported to many platforms, has the player, as a ghost, guide a bubble through a house by blowing at it; if the bubble hits anything at all it pops and the player loses a life. If that sounds difficult, well, it is - but that doesn't stop this run from making it look easy.
This movie appears to be slower than the previous publication; however, this is due to more accurate emulation. It is in fact faster by around 25.3 seconds than the previous publication, thanks to a new trick and better optimisation in many places. Please read the author's comments for more details.

This game is a side scrolling platform game. Gizmo can equip a variety of weapons from a pencil to a toolbox to use against different Gremlins and other vermin such as spiders, bats and rats. There's trouble in Dream Land! The self-appointed King Dedede has stolen all of his subjects' food for a midnight feast. Kirby, a resident of Dream Land, bravely sets out to stop the gluttonous penguin and recover the food.
This first game in the Kirby series predates Kirby's ability to absorb enemy powers. He goes on to gain that ability in the second game in the series.
This run takes more real-time than the previous publication due to improvements in emulator accuracy; the gameplay difference is a roughly 2 second improvement. This run also uses the 'Extra Game' password (up+select+A at title screen), which makes the enemies and bosses much more aggressive and damaging than usual.

Everybody is Kung Fu fighting…
The player is as fast as lightning…
In Kung-Fu Master, known as Spartan X in Japan, the player displays frightening reflexes that would be enough to obliterate any opponent.
In this run, the author, mugg, improves his previous run by changing the goal to getting the best in-game time, ignoring lag caused by enemy drops, among other things, in order to make for a more entertaining run. In addition, he changed the ROM used to the Japanese version, sacrificing some elements in order to make the fastest possible run. Please see the author's notes for more details.

Tatanga is back after being beaten in the regular-mode run of this game, and he kidnapped Princess Daisy again. Daisy is not a pilot, so she is unable to escape from her prison in the sky, despite there being a freely accessible aircraft in the vicinity.
Mario must travel through the four Kingdoms of Birabuto, Muda, Easton, and Chai once again to rescue Daisy. Although this time around, they're packed with much more enemies than before.
This run has much more action than the regular mode of Super Mario Land, due to the increased amount of enemies, yet it is only slightly slower. If you liked TASs of Super Mario Land before now, wait until you see this.

Note: This movie begins from a save state from the end of regular mode in order to access hard mode. There is no other way to access it outside of a hack. We normally do not accept movies which begin from a save state.
Note: This movie requires conversion in order to be played in sync on VBA rerecording v23.

Aside from Tetris, Super Mario Land is probably the most well-known cartridge for the original Game Boy. It features a marked departure from traditional Mario enemies and themes, including Sphinxes, seahorses, fists emerging from pipes, Egyptian-themed levels, Chinese-themed levels and UFO-themed levels.
This publication improves on the previous one by 00:04.33 seconds from a new trick that allows Mario to warp around the screen on auto-scrolling levels as well as a new strategy used to end the mandatory bonus game after each world quicker.

Kirby's Adventure is a colorful game that's very long for a NES title. However, a bug was discovered which caused unpredictable results (including triggering the credits) upon using the Stone power while entering the water.

Metal Force is an unlicensed game developed by Open Corp. (who also made Buzz and Waldog) and released in 1994 in South Korea. It is of surprisingly solid quality for an unlicensed title. It controls similarly to classic Mega Man games, except you have two different weapons which you can switch between and upgrade by collecting power-ups from enemies. Aside from that, it is a linear adventure comprised of 7 missions, with a boss battle at the end of each. The stages of each mission are quite expansive and packed with enemies and obstacles.
This game was run as part of TASVideos' Dream Team Contest 5, and this TAS was built on a combination of multiple submissions of said contest - hence the high number of authors.
In this TAS, the authors make expansive use of the weapons and the various boosts in order to beat the game in 13 minutes and 9.6 seconds.

This movie proves the benefit of sleeping in late. In a departure from most runs, which try to start as soon as possible, the authors avoid any input for over two minutes to enable a faster route.
This Wario game is a fairly unique platformer where you not only play as "the bad guy", but normal damage is replaced with various status effects like catching on fire. In addition, the use of these effects is needed to complete the game.
This run beats the previous movie by 1 minute and 35 seconds through the use of new tricks such as clipping into walls to reach out-of-bounds goal doors, which are only present in this version of the game.
There is also a 100% run of this game on the colorful GBC version.
