Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues is a video game and a non-canonical continuation of the Jurassic Park series, developed and published by Ocean Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and Game Boy. The Game Boy version shown here follows a completely different storyline than its SNES counterpart.
In it, the player controls Grant, whose vehicle at Jurassic Park has stopped functioning as the result of an intentional power outage. Grant moves through a rain forest and later takes a raft down a river, where he encounters aquatic reptiles. Grant ultimately reaches Jurassic Park's headquarters, where most of the power remains off.
Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers run and shoot through the game in record time.

Kid Dracula (also known as Akumajou Special - Boku Dracula-kun) is simultaneously a remake and sequel to the Famicom game, which was only released in Japan. As a spinoff of the Castlevania series, this game is much more light-hearted, and features a quirky array of enemies that range from the standard skeletons, witches and ghouls to... ghosts, giant robots and aliens!?
Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers improve the previous publication by around 27.3 seconds, thanks to much better optimisation.

This time, the Japanese version is used instead for a glitch only available on that version of the game.
This run by Hetfield90 and Flameberger improves the previous run by 1 minute and 34 seconds after accounting for emulation differences.

Mega Man Legends is the first of the Mega Man series to take place in fully explorable 3D and is paced more like an RPG than the previous stage-to-stage action games.
Hetfield90 beats this game in less than an hour thanks to careful routing and a few glitches, which are both detailed in the submission comments.

Mega Man returns in this, his second 3D outing. The Blue bomber and his teammate, Roll, must journey to a distant island to recover The Mother Lode, an item that no-one really understands, but that they all believe may hold the key to make their dreams come true, and so everyone is after it.
Unlike past Mega Man titles, Legends 2 also adds RPG elements into the mix, allowing players to talk to villagers and the like. Some may help in finding items, others aid the player with important information about The Mother Lode, and other areas on the island.

This version of Mega Man X3, released only in Japan, has a glitch which allows you to access Dr. Doppler's fortress without actually beating any of his Robot Masters. This glitch permits Hetfield90 and nrg_zam to take a drastically different route from the SNES version, popping into Doppler 1 and Doppler 2 after only three Robot Master stages (and Vile's Factory) to get the Z-Saber far earlier than should be possible.
(Theoretically you can get the Z-Saber with only two defeated Robot Masters; from a speedrun perspective, however, once you finish Vile's Factory, it makes more sense to finish the stage you accessed it from than to game over and return to the map.)

Released for the Super Famicom in 1996, Front Mission Series: Gun Hazard is the second installment of the Front Mission series. Unlike the numbered titles in the series, which are isometric tactical RPGs, Gun Hazard is a side-scrolling shooter which takes place in a completely separate universe. The game was never given an offical English release, but there is a high quality fan translation made by Aeon Genesis.

Originally thought to be an April Fools joke, it turns out that Capcom really did hide a one-hit-kills weapon in Mega Man X. That platform in Armored Armadillo's stage always did seem a little strange.
Unlike the later games, collecting the Hadoken is much more time consuming compared to the ability to obliterate the mandatory Reploid rematches and fortress bosses. Nevertheless this run is still faster than the first any% run ever published.
Hetfield managed to improve the previous run by 10 seconds, although the actual improvement is roughly 22.2 seconds, and most of it was lost because of the use of a more accurate emulator.
If you want to see more of the blue-clad hero, we recommend watching the any% run.

Since moving to the SNES 16-bit land, Mega Man has taken the secret identity X, but everyone knows it's still him because he's the only blue robot who shoots three pellets at a time at other robots and steals their weapons.
Hetfield90 takes the game apart once again with new tricks that have been discovered over the years.
For extra curiosity, there is a page "Mega Man X Tricks" that explains some of the tricks that are and/or can be used in the X series games.
If you want to see more of the blue-clad hero, we recommend watching the 100% completion run.

Mega Man X2 makes a particularly interesting run as there are many weapons that can be used to increase mobility. These include a grappling hook, a fast mid-air dash and a weapon that can transform enemies into platforms. The author, Hetfield90, takes special care to ensure that when there is a situation in which a weapon could help them progress quicker, they make use of it.
This run improves the previous version by about 27.31 seconds. thanks to many tricks that have been discovered over the years and the use of more accurate emulation.

This TAS obsoletes the "low%, best ending" as well as the "all upgrades" runs, since it collects all the parts of both X and Zero. It became possible to separate the "full completion" branch from the "any%" one after it was found to be faster to forgo acquiring the Shoryuken in the latter.

Mega Man X3 is the third game in the Mega Man X series, and the last one to be released on the SNES.
This is the first actual "100%" run of this game. Hetfield90 speeds through the game very rapidly, collecting all heart tanks, subtanks, Ride Armor modules, upgrades and finally the Golden Armor. However, contrary to the previously labeled 100% run, Zero is sacrificed and his Z-Saber obtained.
The page Mega Man X Tricks explains some of the tricks that are used in this tool-assisted speedrun.
See also the any% run, which doesn't collect the upgrades but also collects the Z-Saber.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a trip through 16th century Japan with cool music, beautiful visuals and fast paced gameplay. Watch as the authors introduce you to Momohime, a young princess possessed by an evil spirit who proves quite adept at cutting everything in her path into tiny bits. As opposed to the previous run this one no longer plays on post-completion Shiguri difficulty, saving nine seconds by avoiding the intro sequence that comes with it.
A run of Muramasa's second character Kisuke is available here: [3248] Wii Muramasa: The Demon Blade "Kisuke" by Bernka in 1:03:49.17

Rosenkreuzstilette (ローゼンクロイツスティレッテ) is a platform game published by independent Japanese studio [erka:es]. Gameplay resembles a Mega Man clone, with Spiritia collecting various weapons from each boss defeated, and alternate protagonist Grolla playing more like Zero from the Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero series.
See how many things from different Mega Man games you can spot while watching this! Stage by stage notes are in the author's comments.
This movie uses Spiritia. For more action, we also have a Grolla movie by the same author.
It is 57.34 seconds faster than the previous run by in-game timing parameters, and an improvement of 1087 frames(18.1s) through directly comparable improvements. (Note that the reason why this run appears to be 3s slower than the old run by standard TAS timing parameters is because the published run ends input before the final boss fight whereas this one does not, since doing so is detrimental to in-game time).

RosenkreuzStilette is an action platforming doujin game that was developed by independent Japanese studio [erka:es]. The gameplay takes heavy inspiration from the classic NES Mega Man games, and the art style is evocative of the IGA-era Castlevania games and early Type Moon games such as Tsukihime and Fate/stay night. It also has a generally rich plot with a good amount of worldbuilding for a doujin game.
Taking place in a medieval fantasy setting, the game revolves around the Magi, magic users who were persecuted for practicing magic. The Magi fought the Holy Empire for their freedom and rights and eventually won, finding their place as a branch of the empire's military called Rosenkreuzstilette, or RKS for short. Tensions remained, however, which led to one of their commanders, Count Michael, ordering a brutal strike against Holy Empire out of fear for his fellow Magi. Spiritia, who was away at the time, returns to find the rebellion in action and the Count's daughter Iris suddenly being whisked away by the dragon Talos, supposedly on the orders of the Count himself. Spiritia, with the help of her friends, must now rescue Iris and quell the rebellion before things get even worse.
Hetfield90 improves on their previous "Spiritia" run by about 83 seconds thanks to heavy usage of a new zipping technique and better RNG manipulation. For more details, you can read the author's notes.
For more action, there is also a run that uses Grolla by the same author.
