Azure Dreams is an RPG random dungeon crawler where the main character, Koh, can recruit familiars and level them up in the 40-floor Monster Tower, while gaining items and riches. He can also help the local town and romance some girls.
As can be seen from the movie time, none of this occurs in this TAS. It's just one naked dash to the top and a whole bunch of fortuitous circumstances. Luck manipulation was used on almost every floor to ensure that elevators and helpful traps are strategically located.

Bishi Bashi Special is a collection of 46 mini-games with a variety of rules.
Here Spikestuff is playing through them quickly while picking up the maximum score of 10 for each. Getting the high score sometimes has odd conditions, like the elephant race where finishing 7-2 is needed for the 10.
For a TAS of a related game, see the Salary Man Champ publication.

Note: This movie is set to obsolete the "Time Trial" mode, because it contains the levels from that mode, and more, effectively superseding it.

Bishi Bashi Special 2 brings more of the comical minigames that are a staple of the series. This collection of the arcade games Hyper Bishi Bashi Champ and Gachaga Champ saw a Japanese and a European release (where it was lumped together with the first game).
The minigames themselves are very straightforward and usually involve only the Triangle, Cross, and Circle buttons. This is a direct holdover from the original arcade machines, which featured a three-button layout. Some minigames also include the directional pad to increase the button-mashing even further. For example, in the first minigame the player has to fend off mobsters by pressing the D-Pad in the direction they're coming from.
Watch Spikestuff absolutely demolish the computer opponent in one fast-paced minigame after another!

Bishi Bashi 3: Step Champ is a conversion of the arcade with the same name. This time around dancing and feet coordination is key to success as this outing is specially made to be played with Konami's Dance Dance Revolution dance mat.
As usual with the Bishi Bashi games, it's full to the brim with random and rather off-beat mini-games that often times pokes fun at Konami's own franchises (such as Track & Field and Beatmania). Most of the mini-games are either of the button mashing variety (such as the mini-game in which the player has to throw a tantrum faster than his siblings to get a toy by stomping his feet on the ground repeatedly), but there are also games where the player has to time which button to press (one such game is very similar to Dance Dance Revolution).
Spikestuff obsoletes their previous movie by improving the Long Jump distance from 13.24 meters to 13.41 meters.

In the 22nd century, the scientists, learning the ancient ways of magic, discovered a new technique that made it possible to create artificial beings by mixing the DNA of humans and animals. Those new creatures, known as Gears, had no will of their own and were destined to obey humans forever. However, a Gear named Justice was somehow capable of disobeying the humans and making his own decisions. He organized a rebellion of Gears, that was later repressed by the knights of the Sacred Order. He was thrown into prison, but recently has broken free, and the Order organized a tournament to find out who is capable of hunting him down again. Among the contenders is Sol Badguy, a man with an unclear past, and his rival Ky Kiske, one of the most skilled knights of the order. The conditions of the tournament are, however, very strange. Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone, if you're in the US) is the first piece of the Harry Potter series, and this movie tie-in game loosely follows the story of the book and movie, surprisingly becoming one of the best-selling PS1 games in the process.

Heart of Darkness is a 1998 cinematic action-adventure platformer developed by Amazing Studio and supervised by Eric Chahi, better known as the creator of Another World (AKA: Out of This World).
The game follows Andy as he is traveling through another world called the Darkland to rescue his dog, Whisky. Players progress through the game's linear storyline by navigating various environments and solving puzzles, all whilst attempting to keep Andy from being killed by evil shadows, hungry wildlife, and perilous obstacles.
Along with basic movement, such as running, jumping, and climbing, certain sections of the game give Andy additional abilities. The plasma cannon allows Andy to shoot lightning at shadows in order to disintegrate them. The Special Powers, which can be used offensively against enemies, can also be used to grow and destroy trees born from seeds.
Veteran TASer lapogne36 runs through this difficult game, often with many close brushes with deadly enemies, in order to beat it in just over 25 minutes.

Mega Man Legends is the first of the Mega Man series to take place in fully explorable 3D and is paced more like an RPG than the previous stage-to-stage action games.
Hetfield90 beats this game in less than an hour thanks to careful routing and a few glitches, which are both detailed in the submission comments.

Mega Man returns in this, his second 3D outing. The Blue bomber and his teammate, Roll, must journey to a distant island to recover The Mother Lode, an item that no-one really understands, but that they all believe may hold the key to make their dreams come true, and so everyone is after it.
Unlike past Mega Man titles, Legends 2 also adds RPG elements into the mix, allowing players to talk to villagers and the like. Some may help in finding items, others aid the player with important information about The Mother Lode, and other areas on the island.

This version of Mega Man X3, released only in Japan, has a glitch which allows you to access Dr. Doppler's fortress without actually beating any of his Robot Masters. This glitch permits Hetfield90 and nrg_zam to take a drastically different route from the SNES version, popping into Doppler 1 and Doppler 2 after only three Robot Master stages (and Vile's Factory) to get the Z-Saber far earlier than should be possible.
(Theoretically you can get the Z-Saber with only two defeated Robot Masters; from a speedrun perspective, however, once you finish Vile's Factory, it makes more sense to finish the stage you accessed it from than to game over and return to the map.)

In an effort to avoid the status quo, Capcom decided to experiment, throwing in a leveling system and story-based launch scenarios. Beyond that, it's really just a Mega Man X Zero game.
This is the first game in the series to allow character choice before each stage. Zero is chosen as often as possible, leaving X behind to gather dust. The abusable sword physics highlight Zero's superiority, especially when the sword is used while standing on the ground. Bosses fall very quickly, even when they have 127 health. See the Game Resources page and the author's comments for an explanation of how these tricks work.
There are about 5 minutes of action in this run, which consist mostly of flying through levels and a boss rush on the hardest difficulty mode, Xtreme.
This run is 00:12.90 seconds faster than the previous run.

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is a story-driven fighting game that puts you in the shoes of Sub-Zero and chronicles a series of events that occurred prior to the first Mortal Kombat.
You, the Lin Kuei's most cunning assassin, are sent to steal an important document. However, this mission proves to be a test from a mysterious character (who turns out to be MK4's Quan Chi) who charges you upon retrieval of the document to recover an ancient medallion of untold power. Upon your return, Quan Chi reveals that he actually tricked you, and the medallion is the key to awakening the demon Shinnok (yup, the same baddie from MK4). Now a reluctant hero, you must pursue Quan Chi through hell itself hoping you get to Shinnok before him.
Technically speaking, this game represents the final evolutionary step in the MK series' 2D engine. The game takes the familiar 2D Mortal Kombat fighting environment and turns it into a hybrid fighting/platform game, where you must run and jump through hazardous levels as well as fight your way through both digitized and polygonal enemies. Sub-Zero's interface is the same as in every MK game, with the addition of the "use" and "turn around" buttons, an inventory, and a slight RPG twist that gives you EXP for defeating opponents which becomes new techniques and moves to execute in the game.
This is an improvement of an existing run. Besides a set of small improvements, the main differences of this run are a new shortcut in the sixth level and much more qualitative score management. All of this in total allowed Fly to reduce the time of the run by nearly 3 minutes.

Most dominoes stand forever, just waiting to be toppled over. But no one can stop Mr. Domino - he has to run around everywhere, causing mayhem everywhere he goes. Help Mr. Domino use the domino effect to trigger tricks and traps on unsuspecting objects and people!
No One Can Stop Mr. Domino is a puzzle game which sees you controlling the titular Mr. Domino (or one of his friends, if you prefer) as he zips around levels which can be best described as a racetrack. As the title suggests, you can't actually stop Mr. Domino - however, you can guide him around the track, speed him up and slow him down. He'll need to dodge obstacles as he aims to activate "tricks" which are placed around the board.
This is an improvement of 00:14.68 seconds over the previous run due to a change in domino placement in the level Grandpa's in The House, which leads to a shorter but possibly more disappointing ending animation. Mr. Domino proves once again that he cannot be stopped.
